Very clean, very responsive host

The location is nice, close to restaurants and a supermarket. safety quiet neighborhood

You can hear easily the guys next door talking. I stayed a full week and sometimes where a real issue.

Location

We booked the property for three nights in mid-march, but had to vacate the room after the first night. We had four main issues with the property: 1. Random charges 2. Lack of Cleanliness 3. Poor quality of the room for an expensive price 4, lack of assistance from the host 1. "Early" check in to arrive 2 hours ahead of time was an extra $60 so that the cleaners can "prioritize the room." We did not choose that option, and arrived at normal check in time. 2. However, the apartment was not clean when we arrived. At first glance, we noticed that the cleaning was superficial. There were stains on the bed, rust in the bathroom, crumbs on the floor. Quickly after, we killed a cockroach who was living in a cereal bowl in the kitchen. Then we found a mid-sized lizard in the bathroom. We also found a trail of ants in the bathroom, a spider on the kitchen ceiling and even a caterpillar. Pictures incl. 3. On top of that, the room was not comfortable; it was located in backyard of the main house with paper thin walls, thin floorboard not well ventilated, and the bed was made of creaky springs. 4. When we tried to contact the property manager to get help, the property manager unprofessionally blamed the rain for the roaches and ants, and did not question its lack of quality insurance and management of cleaning staff. He told us on the second day of our stay that he would have some pest control come the next day, the final day of our stay. We decided it was not worth it and we asked to check out and be refunded. The owner did not reply to any of our texts or messages through booking.com. We tried to ask Booking.com for assistance, and they deferred us back to the owner. When we finally spoke to him, our 3 day stay had lapsed, and he said he couldn't refund us. For roughly one hundred fifty dollars a night, a motel 6 would have done the job better. Avoid this property at all cost ; take a hotel or motel that is professionally managed.

Clean and comfortable room. Located in a convenient location, close to main roads, restaurants and shops; however, quiet residential area for a restful night. I liked the fast and clear communication with the host.
