Converted Barn With Exclusive Use of Indoor Private Swimming Pool
Inmitten einer 16 Hektar großen, atemberaubenden Landschaft in Devon bietet The Barn ein geräumiges, wunderschön eingerichtetes Apartment mit 4 Schlafzimmern, 4 Bädern und 4 Schlafzimmern. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich der Pool, die Umkleidekabinen und ein Spielezimmer, das ausschließlich den Gästen in der Scheune zur Verfügung steht. Das vierte Schlafzimmer und das vierte Badezimmer befinden sich ebenfalls im Erdgeschoss und können vom Fuß der Treppe aus erreicht werden. Im ersten Stock befinden sich ein sehr geräumiger offener Wohn- / Küchen- / Essbereich und 3 weitere Schlafzimmer. Die Scheune hat auch einen großen privaten Garten mit sehr tiefem Teich- und Moorgarten, der für Kinder unter 10 Jahren ungeeignet ist. Es gibt einen atemberaubenden Blick über das lokale Ackerland und das Moor dahinter. An einem klaren Tag kann man das Meer von Torbay in der Ferne schimmern sehen.

A stunning property, beautiful location and wonderful hosts. The Barn is a dream come true for a UK holiday, so spoilt with this property, location and facilities. There’s nothing not to like. And the hosts are wonderful.

We had a brilliant week at the Barn in October 2023, travelling as a multi-generational family including my children (4 and 6 years old) and my parents (in their 70s) - and our golden retriever who was welcomed most kindly. The property is a real gem - fabulous location to visit Lustleigh and other nearby villages, walk the moors, and just relax and enjoy the stunning views out of every window. The property has been very thoughtfully and intelligently designed by Roger and Sue, with comfortable furniture to relax, a games room to enjoy, and of course the enormous pool. The gardens and pond outside are beautiful. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 plus the pup. It's hard to say enough about what a fabulous week we had. Roger and Sue are nearby with any advice or help you may need, and when our arrival was delayed they even accepted our grocery delivery - and if that wasn't enough, they unpacked it and put away the perishable items as well! It was a week we will not soon forget and we are grateful to our hosts for welcoming us into this beautiful slice of Devon.

Me and my family stayed here for the weekend and we had the best time ever. The property was fantastic and really clean. Very high standards. Sue and Roger were absolute diamonds. They really went above and beyond with everything. They made sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The property has a huge swimming pool, exclusive to the property. It has a games room with a pool table and a table tennis table. It has plenty of shower rooms and toilets. Amazing location. Perfect for big families to relax and enjoy Dartmoor Devon. Thank you so much we really enjoyed ourselves. All the best.

We had a wonderful time, the pool is the icing on the cake, the grandchildren spent most of their stay in there, didn’t want to leave, the games room is great too. Roger & sue were great hosts, checked everything was ok with us, then gave us privacy to enjoy ourselves, we had a bbq & cooked in all weekend, everything was there that we needed, didn’t venture far, as wasn’t great weather, thankfully cleared when we left, as the lanes are very narrow, All the bedrooms & bathrooms & bathrooms were great, the bonus of changing rooms by the pool meant we didn’t have to walk through house wet & we left costumes there to use next time, would definitely love to return, I know the grandchildren definitely would 😄

We had a lovely relaxing week in this beautiful barn. Thee were 10 of us altogether and there was loads of space. We used the pool at least twice a day. Roger and Sue were the perfect hosts, checking in and helping out when needed. I would thoroughly recommend this as the perfect holiday retreat set in beautiful countryside.

The Barn is an amazing and unique retreat and we enjoyed relaxing in the peacefulness of the countryside as well as an amazing pool and games room. The local pub was also homely and did great food, and Sue and Roger were incredibly welcoming and helpful hosts.

Excellent, good communication from hosts. No problems during stay. Wonderful views across the countryside and the Moor from every window. Reassuring to know the owners are just next door if we needed anything. Very clean house and well stocked kitchen.

Lustleigh barn
What a fantastic week with all the family. Bedrooms and bathrooms were top quality and so comfortable. The star of the week was the large swimming pool and games room loved by us all . Thank you to Sue and Roger perfect hosts were so helpful and our dog Dexter loved playing with their dog Barker. We were all so relaxed in peaceful surroundings would definitely love to go back .

An absolutely amazing property!
We had an absolutely fantastic half term break at The Barn!
The accommodation was top notch! It was spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable with many spaces to sit and relax.
The weather wasn't great but it didn't really matter as we didn't want to leave to house once we saw the stunning swimming pool with spacious changing rooms which was for our private use. The games room was amazing and great fun.
The outdoor space was beautiful and we enjoyed some walks across the fields with our dog who was made very welcome.
It was absolutely perfect in all areas.
We'll be back!!!

Fantastic house with the best heated pool ever!
We had a lovely family break here. The house was everything we hoped it would be. The highlight of our stay was the extra large heated pool and games room - especially as it was raining throughout our stay. The landscapes were breathtaking. The lanes to get to the property were a little tricky, but this wouldn't stop me from returning. We organised for a chef to cook us a meal for a special occasion, and have given the owners the details. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely like to come back to stay here.

We were two families of 4 with children aged 8, 9, 10 and 12.
Arrival was excellent where we were shown around and given a guided tour of the property.
The property was fantastic. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. The pictures do not do it justice!! It really is fabulous!
Using the property as our base, we made trips to the Winter Wonderland at Exeter, the Panto at Torquay and lunch in Dartmouth. We also visited a food market at Newton Abbot, plus The House of Marbles museum.
This property was a fantastic base for us all. Most of our time was spent around the pool and games room.
We would love to visit again in the future as we had such a splendid time.

Amazing!
We had a wonderful time staying in The Barn. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. Both Sue and Roger were extremely helpful and close by to answer any questions during our stay. The views are stunning and the pool amazing, we had so much fun. Our son loved feeding the fish in the pond twice a day! We were really lucky to have fantastic weather all week and so took advantage of the gas BBQ most evenings. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect winter getaway! Loads of room at this well laid out and equipped house. The pool and games room is fab and with loads of amazing outdoor adventures on the doorstep we cannot recommend this place highly enough.Roger and Sue are awesome hosts also!

What a wonderful property
The Barn is a wonderful holiday property and was just as described. Spotlessly clean throughout, attention to detail in the garden was second to none and the pool was definitely the highlight.
Roger and Sue very accommodating. 3 generations enjoyed the whole week and we will definitely be returning again next year

Fantastic!!
We had a brilliant time at The Barn, Sue and Roger have thought of everything, even down to large cooking pans, Crockery and cutlery enough for a big family, they were wonderful hosts. There was plenty of space for us and enough to keep everyone happy with the games room and pool. The pool is amazing and absolutely huge, far bigger than any we’ve had in previous properties we visited and a bonus being inside so the weather isn’t an issue. The views are fabulous pictures do not do it justice, peace and quiet is what we needed and we certainly got it. We will definitely be back, thank you Sue and Roger for such a wonderful week.

Stunning property
The property was great, beautiful views and amazing features. The facilities were amazing. The pool and games room kept us occupied regardless of the weather. We were very lucky to have had quite good weather whilst there and the garden area was great to be able to lay in the sun but also provided such lovely views. Sue and Roger were great at communicating prior to arrival and very informative upon arrival so we knew what was around the area and how everything in the house worked. But they were always on hand if we needed anything further. We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday. Thank you!

Perfect get away for my dads 60th
My family and I stayed at the barn for a week at the beginning of September 2020 as a treat for my dads 60th birthday.
Sue was excellent at replying to all of our questions before arriving. On arrival we had a tour of the house and was shown the grounds where we could take our dog for walks.
The views of the surrounding areas are stunning and are worth the trip alone. Inside the barn was also just as impressive. The pool is what sold the holiday in the first place and didn't let us down. The area comes complete with 2x leisure centre quality changing rooms and a great games room which kept us entertained for hours each day.
The upstairs living area was a good size for 7 adults, 2 babies and a dog. All the bedrooms have an en suite too so no fighting over use of the bathrooms and all were very clean.
The price for all of this was also very reasonable and we had no complaints all week.
I would highly recommend the barn to anyone looking to get away in Devon/Dartmoor.

Best relaxing week away
The Barn, without doubt, was truly the best swimming pool cottage we have stayed in. We were all completely wowed & thrilled to enjoy such a luxurious week here; comfy beds, BBQ, huge pool, 2 changing rooms, cosy sitting spaces & gorgeous garden! Sue & Roger were both so helpful and welcoming, yet ensured we had full privacy to enjoy The Barn. Our week was probably the wettest in August but that made little difference to us as we all (especially my 5 & 9 yr old girls) spent the best part of the day in the amazing pool and games room, watching movies, also enjoying the delightful garden sitting in the cleverly designed covered outdoor patio.
Thank you so much Sue & Roger, you have paid attention to every detail in The Barn, and I can honestly say that we are keen to return and will be recommending the cottage to friends and family.

Amazing
8 of us stayed for my wife's 60th birthday we all had a memorable time even if hurricane Ciara tried its best to put a damper on it...plenty to do swimming, board games, games room and even chilling with a few beers, the building flows really well and very good quality, owners very friendly and layback which was nice ...looking forward to coming back !!!

Beautiful Rural Location, Very Helpful Owners
We loved our stay at The Barn! It offers comfortable luxury, panoramic countryside views from every window and, of course, the amazing pool! This was a special family holiday and it allowed us the chance to spend a lot of quality time together with our children of various ages because of all the activities available. Pool table was a big hit, as was the ping pong and we all loved the board games and puzzles. Sue and Roger were always on hand to help with any queries but completely unobtrusive otherwise. Very approachable and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As it's such a rural location, the approach roads are very tight but we managed to get our people carrier through following the directions Sue sent and the pay off is the amazing location. I never got tired of looking out of the windows. We would definitely like to go back in the future.

A wonderful property, garden and scenic views all round. A fantastically good indoor swimming pool and games room. It all made for an excellent 2 week holiday despite very wet weather during the first week.

Lovely property and location
My autistic son and his carers had a great time at the Barn. The Barn is very comfortable, spacious and inviting. Olly loved the pool. Sue is very easy to communicate with and thanks to her for making it easy to book the Barn on behalf of Olly and his carers.

Great place to stay and visit the surrounding areas. The pub and tearoom in Lustliegh are a must!
The barn is a great place to rest and enjoy company. The swimming pool is super and the changing rooms and games room are a lovely touch.
The barn is finished and kitted our to a very high standard throughout.
Sue and Roger are a lovely friendly couple and couldn’t do enough for us durin our holiday.
