This place was a cook's dream as everything one might need was at your disposal. Or, if you are just a dreamer, you are mesmerized by the view of the river in front of you and the palette of clouds floating by overhead. Or, if you are just into reading, playing games, or relaxing you cannot believe how lucky you are! Our host, Heather, met us upon arrival, checked in with us during our stay and made sure we were not at a loss for anything! We'll definitely come back here!

We had a wonderful week staying at 570 York Point, Cornwall. Hosts were very friendly and easy to contact. Home is very well appointed on a beautiful property overlooking the river. Photos are very accurate as to what this home offers to visitors. It's an easy drive to Charlottetown and other PEI destinations from this property.

This vacation rental is one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. It’s so cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the primary bed is very comfortable. But the view and outside decks are the best part, so beautiful. Heather, the host, is so hospitable and helpful. Our plane got in very late so she offered to put some groceries in the fridge for us, so thoughtful. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

We loved the cottage and location! It was very comfortable and the extra touches provided by Floyd and Heather were awesome and very much appreciated. It was a great stay and we very highly recommend it.

Beautiful slice of paradise. Newly renovated cottage with a great location. Hosts, Heather & Floyd were great. HurricaneLee decided to make landfall on PEI. Floyd & Heather offered to put us in a hotel & upon our refusal, they brought supplies to us. We were snug as bugs in the cottage throughout the storm. I can’t wait to return and feel that I’ve made two new friends.

From the start, we knew we were in for a great stay - Heather was responsive, met us at the door, gave us the tour, ensured we had what we needed. After that it was 5 days of our little family taking day trips and coming "home" to the cosy confines of this cottage - a nice mix of modern and beach rustic. Great water view, quiet location, all amenities you would need (thank you again fire pit! ) and location-wise, close to Charlottetown and Cows ice cream!

The location was fantastic. Right on the water, picturesque, quiet and private. The house is light, and new. Very pleasing and relaxing. Also well organized and well stocked. Heather was a most gracious and helpful host. I would recommend it.

This cottage was beautiful, clean and very well-equipped. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Our family has stayed in many rental properties while on vacations across Canada, and this was one of the nicest we've visited. We would happily stay here again.

We had the most delightful 7 night stay at the cottage . Heather and Floyd greets us on our arrival and gave us the highlights and recommendations. The cottage is incredibly comfortable and the views beautiful, with spectacular sunsets. It was the perfect location on the island , convenient to Charlottetown for shopping and the ideal jumping off point for all island activity. Heather recommended Potters Cove for Island pottery , well worth the visit . We look forward to our return visit. You will not be disappointed with the wonderful cottage . All the best Carol And Jim

Perfect location. Easy access to events and other points of interest. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Nice deck and beautiful view of ocean front area. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Looking to book for next year as we could not find a more relaxing location.

This was the perfect cottage for my friend and I - clean and well equipped, and very easy to get to all the sites. Also very quiet and peaceful!

It's a lovely cottage right in the water with two great decks to view the water from. The kitchen is very well equipped and you have many tv viewing options for those indoor days when the weather isn't so great! The home owners were very eay to deal with and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Although the weather did not fully cooperate with us we had a wonderful vacation. We were met by the owner who was more than helpful and accommodating. The cottage is close to Charlottetown enjoying all it has to offer. The view from the cottage is everything we were looking forward to and we were able to take long walks on the beach at low tide. We stayed for six nights and were very satisfied. The owners have clearly put work and care into making this an excellent experience. Being a fifteen-minute drive from downtown Charlottetown was also a big plus.

the cottage and property could not have been better. great quiet location with ocean access. the water was calm and warm. the cottage felt like that of a friend, not like a well used rental. Heather and Floyd were very welcoming , responsive and great to deal with. 5*

If you want peace, tranquility, cleanliness of the house with all you could need & close proximity to Charlottetown & other spots on the island at a VERY reasonable price, THIS PLACE IIS FOR YOU! Heather & Floyd are friendly, available and I am thankful that they share their beautiful cottage on the West River in Cornwall. The two decks overlooking the river are perfect as is the inside of their tastefully decorated and VERY clean cottage. Highly recommend.

Our family vacation plans began in January 2019 when me and my family (husband and 9-year-old son, from Ontario) decided we wanted to explore PEI this summer and made the decision to rent a cottage. Typically, we are campers, so this was a big deal for us. With plenty of on-line research we found the cottage that we thought would best suit us, give us great access to the entire island and make this a dream vacation that we would remember for a long time. With that, we made the plunge with Home Away. I have never been more satisfied and pleased with a decision that we have made than this one. We had immediate response from Floyd and Heather which reassured me immensely – and this communication was present, as needed, right up until we left on our 10-day adventure. Heather met us at the property and gave us a great tour – the cottage was everything (AND MORE) than we had seen on the Home Away listing. Not only did it have everything you could want, it was clean and had the most charming deco. It was quite simply – heaven. Truly, a home away from home. The cottage offered all the amenities we needed and so much more. Floyd and Heather have truly thought of everything that a family would need for a wonderful vacation. In fact, there is not one thing I could say was missing – they had it all. The cottage is in a very central location and while we spent lots of time in Charlottetown and Cavendish, we also explored the rest of the island and felt that everything was a reasonable drive to get to. We particularly loved the drive to Basinhead Beach. The cottage offers the most magnificent views all day, but sunset was particularly amazing. Our son loved the adventure he found as the tide went out – we brought home lots of shells and rocks to remind us of our trip. We felt relaxed and quite frankly easily made it home for 10 days. Whether you are looking for a place to just unwind and enjoy the water and the views or you want to explore the island, I would (and have with my personal networks) recommend this cottage to any family who is looking for an amazing stay while they are in PEI. A five-star rating simply does not seem like enough… it was so much better. Thank you Floyd and Heather :)

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at York Point! Heather and Floyd were super helpful with providing information about the property upon arrival, as well as a list of places to eat or explore. The kitchen is well-equipped and the view was wonderful. We enjoyed relaxing on their beautiful decks while watching the tide change and the stunning wildlife (including a bald eagle!) go about their daily routines. Being close to the city was a bonus for restaurants and activities. It is also only a short drive to some great beaches. The cottage is very clean and attention has been given to the decor which makes the stay that much more comfortable. Thank you for a beautiful week!

We have recently returned from a week's stay in PEI and this very special cottage on the edge of the sea. Let me just tell you this: I cried when we left. This place is even better in real life. It was immaculate and fully equipped (including an oyster knife which is essential when visiting PEI). Heather and Floyd were there to great us when we arrived and show us around. All the information they gave us about the cottage and the island was so helpful. Even though we had researched PEI and had lots scheduled, there are things the locals know that the internet or any guide book won't tell you. The location was beyond perfect as you feel far away in this private retreat yet only 15-20 minutes from Charlottetown and all the pristine beaches PEI has to offer. Don't miss out on this cottage and location. I can't imagine our visit would have been the same had we stayed anywhere else. I would rate this with more stars if i could.
