This home is in the midst of renovations. This means a new fridge and also construction materials around the property (no fenced in yard for pets, plus empty bottles/gum wads, etc around construction area). The house is clean and new on the interior but does not look like the pictures in many way. We came here with a mobility impaired family member, the new high top kitchen table was a disaster. There is lots of space (we had three families together). All of the exterior features were problematic (buried fire pit, no dog yard, loose neighbor dogs that “visit” the yard when you are out, dirty grill, dirty hot tub). None of the pocket doors had handles (strange and dangerous?) and there was no “user guide” for anything in the house (how to turn on heat, what to do with garbage/recycling, how to work gas stoves, where are extra supplies, etc), but the owners responded to questions. My guess is this place will be amazing when the renovations are complete. The house hit the balance between clean and usable (not afraid you will break something but also not afraid to be comfortable on the older couch). Don’t regret the stay but not sure I would have made the same rental decision knowing what I know now (especially the access piece).

This was our second friend getaway at this house. We had a terrific weekend along with a spring snowstorm. The hosts were very welcoming and offered several ideas on how to enjoy the snow and area. Kids love the downstairs space and games. This home has plenty of room for all and the radiant floor heat is a bonus. The adults enjoyed chatting and sitting by the fire upstairs but could use a couple more seating options for multiple visitors. Thank you for allowing our family pup to join us as well. We look forward to reliving our memories until next time.

While the property was clean and the host responsive, what would appear to be the DIY nature of the construction was problematic from a safety standpoint. There was a loose railing on the loft, unfinished closets, lights missing with wires hanging out, multiple non-working thermostats and a dysfunctional fireplace amongst other lesser quirks. The house has potential but needs a lot of work and I don’t understand these other glowing reviews, unfortunately.

We all had a great time! Place is nicer than the pictures show. Lots of room for everyone. Had so much fun with the hot tub, air hockey and fooseball. Kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve meals. Hope to come back next year. The walk to town is not too long and the rail trail, which is great for walking or cross country skiing, is super close. We brought our pup and she had a blast too! Spent time in Wiseguys and the Boathouse as both are dog-friendly. Also had a great meal and drinks at Lisa Gs which is right down the street.

We had such a great time and this house was perfect! The rooms were spacious and there was room for the kids to be kids and the owners were great to work with. I would highly recommend staying here

The property was beautiful and very accommodating! We had a pet with us and they have a fantastic area fof dogs to run! Overall, it was a great experience!

We had a great stay in this home with ample space and bathrooms for 11 people! Easy communication with the owners next door and great entertaining spaces both inside and out making it fairly weather proof (bit of a rainy weekend for us but still worked out great)! Beautiful and clean when we arrived with fans for the warm/humid evenings we had. Definitely recommend!

The location and house exceeded our expectations. Pleasantly surprised by how close to town the house was and it was even nicer in person than in pictures. Lots of communal space inside and privacy outside. Hot tub was a little slimy, but overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend.

This place was great , had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, perfect fulll distance from town and close proximity to whiteface!

Really great place! Stayed with family and friends. 3 different families and PLENTY of space for EVERYONE! One thing to note is that this place is even more impressive in person!! Host was really nice and easily accessible and super accommodating. Check in and out was real easy. Would highly recommend staying here- it will definitely exceed your expecations!!!

Great place for a big group! Easy drive to town and walkable if you wanted. We loved the heated bathroom floors! We would definitely stay here again!

The place was very convenient and a perfect place for my husband, myself, 3 children and their families. Would certainly return if we plan another Lake Placid vacation!

The house had recently been redone and has a perfect Adirondack vibe. Very spacious for plenty of guests and plenty of parking available.

The house and host were amazing. Ben and Ashley were wonderful host and were there when we had questions. The house was clean and very welcoming. Heated floors in some of the bedrooms and all of the bathrooms was a welcome surprise and used each day. We will be back. Thank you again for making us feel welcome.

Second time we have used this home. It is a perfect location for our group. We walk into town everyday and enjoy big group dinners each evening. The house needs a name.

We had a great time staying at this home! It was so nice have two separate living areas since we were traveling with a big group and a lot of kids. The lower level gave a quiet place for the kids at night while the adults were up and rowdy. The yard was huge and fenced in which was nice for the dogs. If you're looking for walking proximity to town, it's a little far out but we were okay with that. Would definitely stay again!

We cannot say enough about the incredible quality of this place. It is clean, well furnished, beautiful, accommodatng for a larger group and just an overall joy to stay in. The hosts are such nice people. We would love to book again and again in this very gorgeous property. Close to Placid’s beautiful Main Street and the Olympic Center!

Spacious and clean. Very nice hosts. Just a few minutes drive from downtown Lake Placid and 20min drive to the ski hill.

Well maintained, clean, plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 large dogs. The fenced in area and deck were great for the dogs. Local trails for walking. The downstairs rec area was awesome for playing games and giving the teens a space of their own. Ben and Ashley were super nice, provided anything we asked for in a timely manner. Other than that we didn't see them. Super close to town, easy to get to 86, Ski jumps, downtown. Will be going back next year. Recommend to all!

This property was perfect for a girls’ weekend away. It was the perfect amount of space, three showers was great for 10 people. It was a great location, a bit of a walk to town but doable. We wish we had more time!

If you have dogs, you can’t pick a better place. We brought our 3 dogs and they loved it. House was has a great floor plan and plenty of room. Not as close to town as I read in previous reviews but easy drive to everything. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Loved it

We were greatly disappointed. Though initially impressed with the Adirondack feel there were multiple issues. The main issue was the extremely damp & musty basement. We arrived at the end of a very hot & humid stretch of weather so we understood it would have an effect, however the basement floor was wet as were the furniture, mattresses, bed sheets, & towels. This was clearly an issue for much longer as the foosball table was warped badly in the middle & the characters couldn’t fully turn. We were told there would be a fan for each room. There were not enough fans per room, with some covered in layers of dust. We asked for more & only two were delivered; still not enough. We had to buy fans ourselves. The fans ran 24 hrs a day to try to dry out the house. We discovered a dehumidifier but it leaked water. We called the owner & he brought one the next day that didn’t work. We called again & were promised another one but it was not delivered for another 2 days. We wanted to prove to the owner how damp the house was & asked him to come in to show the basement but he declined. Even after the humidity broke the home was still so damp that it never dried out. The basement bathroom shower had only a curtain, no liner, & the bottom looked to have mold. Water damage was visible on the walls of the basement shower, tub, & the ceiling. We ran fans in the bathroom to dry it out. Also one of the closet doors was broken & unable to close, a bedroom pocket door couldn’t close due to a high threshold, & the coffee table was broken & barely able to stand. The dishwasher leaked when running, & the dryer took multiple cycles to dry laundry. Both vacuum cleaners were not usable with no replacement bags. The owners asked to remove our shoes when in the house. We did & found the floors were not properly cleaned prior to our arrival. Our socks and feet were damp & blackened. For a 5 day stay with 12 people, we received 1 paper towel roll, 1 toilet paper per bathroom, and a dish towel & dirty sponge. Half our party left after the 2nd day from dissatisfaction with the property. The host gave some help, but he failed to fix the poor conditions of his property. On day 4 I expressed the issues and again offered to show him around (he didn’t come in). He apologized, offered to have the floors cleaned, and finally did bring over a third (very small) dehumidifier and vacuum. He gave us a refund for 1 day which didn’t improve a terrible experience from a premier host.

The only complaint I have was the Internet was very slow making it difficult to work or watch TV Great house!!

Great visit! Used the rental to celebrate my friends 40th. Rental was wonderful! Rental had everything you need, only upgrade would be fans in the rooms. **It was the first summer day so they could have just not been moved in yet. Which it totally understandable temps went from 50s to 90s in 1 week.**

Had a wonderful stay. Bedrooms were exceptional and the house was very clean. Should be noted that the shower in the basement level was not draining properly and may need to be looked at. No bother as there were many more to use.
