This was the third time we had stayed at Club Golfemar but the first time we have stayed at this villa. The resort itself is fantastic - lots of families but not so busy that you can’t relax. The pool is great for the kids and the lighthouse restaurant is great for cocktails and dinner. We are a family of 5 with three young children so this villa was perfect for our needs. The villa is spacious and is very well kitted out (dishwasher, washing machine etc). The kitchen contains all of the necessary items for self-catering. Out the back there is a large and very beautiful garden. The view over the resort is absolutely wonderful. The wi-fi inside the villa is very good and the air conditioning works perfectly. Personally, I would have preferred a larger barbecue (there is a very small electric one) as I love to cook outside when I’m in Portugal. However, this is only a very minor issue and you can buy a cheap barbecue in intermarche for 15-20 euros. This villa is significantly better than another three bedroom villa in Golfemar which is also available to rent via this website (where we have stayed in previous years). The owner (Michael) was s pleasure to deal with during booking. He was very quick to respond to enquiries and the booking process was very smooth. I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone looking to stay in this area.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at this lovely villa. It is very comfortably furnished with everything you could possible need for a relaxing holiday. It has a very nice garden with a partial sea view and another very good sea view from the terrace. Being less than 10 minutes away from the centre of Carvoeiro by car, it is very conveniently situated with plenty of nice beaches nearby as well as good restaurants.

Just returned from our 2nd stay at villa Vista Mar. The villa is very clean/spacious with high class fittings and fixtures throughout. The garden area is extremely pleasant with many various birds visiting the hedgerows . plenty of sunbeds tables and chairs and a welcome sun awning for shade if required. The grounds of Club Golfemar are all highly maintained with a lovely pool area which is spotlessly clean, their is also a bar and restaurant available for lunches or evening meals. Vista Mar is very well located being approx. 5 mins. by car to Carvoeiro town with many bars/restaurants and lovely beach area. Supermarket Intermarche is ideal for all types of products being 4/5 mins drive and their is an Aldi and Apolonia store 2/3 mins further on. Within walking distance of the villa our 3 favourite restaurants are Julios/ Rocha Mar and Farol Jardin all have a varied menu excellent service and reasonable prices. I would fully recommend Vista Mar as an excellent base for all of the Algarve with easy access to the N125 and N22. The villa is absolutely lovely, it is large and thanks to the big patio windows it very light inside. It is decorated to a high standard with 3 good sized bedrooms and a very large lounge, all of which have there own air conditioning units. The Villa had everything you could want, the kitchen was fully equipped, there wasn't anything we missed, the lounge had a very big flat screen TV and DVD player. Out back is a patio with table and chairs which we used everyday for lunch, it had an extendible awning which kept the mid-day sun of as well, the patio leads to the villas own lovely garden, each night we sat out on the sun loungers and looked at the amazing stars in the garden, one night we were treated to an amazing meteor shower ! The Golfemar complex is only 5 minutes drive from the Carvoeiro, it is small and quiet, the pool is brilliant, good size, not too deep and super clean, no matter what time we went we never failed to get a sun bed around the pool. There is a pool bar and the Light House restaurant, the food here was really good, a few nights a week they have live music which we really enjoyed. Within 6-7 minutes walk from the Villa are 4 more restaurants and a little supermarket, 10 minutes there are even more ! Michael the owner was fantastic to deal with and everything was smooth and easy, I thoroughly recommend this villa.
