Chalet Style Home Near Empire Beach
Geräumiges Haus im Chalet-Stil mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern, nur 1 Block vom schönsten Strand im Norden von Michigan - Empire Beach am Michigansee entfernt. Das Haus befindet sich im malerischen, historischen Empire inmitten des Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, das kürzlich in einer Umfrage von Good Morning America zum schönsten Ort Amerikas gewählt wurde. Das Haus ist einen halben Block vom Herzen des Dorfes entfernt, das Restaurants, eine Bank, ein Postamt, Galerien und eine öffentliche Bibliothek umfasst.
Das Innere des Hauses verfügt über einen offenen Grundriss mit Wohnzimmer, Essbereich, Küche, Vollbad und Hauptschlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett auf der Hauptebene. Die zweite Ebene enthält zwei große Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem Queensize-Bett und das andere mit einem Queensize-Bett und zwei Einzelbetten sowie einem Vollbad. Das Haus verfügt über kostenlosen WLAN-Internetzugang.

This lovely Chalet style home was in the perfect location for our recent family vacation. The Leelanau Peninsula is one of our favorite places to visit. Everything in Empire was within walking distance and offered close proximity to the daily activities we wanted to pursuit. We found terrific dining and shopping along with canoe trips and hiking over scenic trails. Lake Michigan was beautiful, and we captured many photos of the unbeatable sunsets each night of our stay. The house was very suitable for the four of us. We were happy that our dog was allowed to join us. We would definitely choose this terrific Empire Chalet again. Our countdown to return has already begun.

This home is very close to Lake Michigan if you walk one direction and about a block from downtown Empire if you walk the other. The home was just right for our family of 5 plus one toddler although you might want to bring a baby gate if your children are very young. It’s located in a wonderful quiet neighborhood and we had a great time!

First impression was very clean but there were some issues. Moisture for one. Earwigs in bathroom & downstairs bedroom. Don’t really appreciate taking bugs home with me. Also don’t appreciate being told to vacuum& sweep or there will be a 150.00 charge. We would have swept some anyway because at the beach there is sand & no one likes sand but the 150.00 charge threat was not appreciated. Also furnace filters must need changed because there was a definite smoking odor. The vents were dirty.

My friends I enjoyed our visit to Empire. The home is in a great location to enjoy all that Empire and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has to offer. The place was easy to access, very clean and all the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed staying here.

Second year staying here. Can't get any closer to the Empire Lake Michigan Beach. Lovely home. TV went out on second morning and the owners were there very quickly to replace it. Our dog Lily came too. She loved the beach and finally went swimming this year. The home is spotless, owners are friendly and available. Comfortable, close to everything, nice and quiet. We''ll see you next year.

The living room, dining area and kitchen are larger than it looks in the pictures. We were very comfortable with 8 people. It's a short walk to the beach. The house is supplied with plenty of dishes, towels, hangers, silverware, etc. We would stay here again.

We rented this home for our family with adult children. So convenient to be a 5 min walk from Empire Beach and South Bar lake. The home is very clean and well equipped. The owners have done a great job!

Wonderful location to sleeping bear and the beach. We had great sunsets and long walks along the beach with view of the SC Le try ping bear dunes. Pure Michigan !!!

Everything our grown family needed for a short winter getaway
We loved the location of this rental, in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes, just a block from the Empire Beach. We spent time hiking, sledding, and just hanging out in the house playing games and cooking together.

Cozy and comfortable, close to the beach
We had a great time in Empire with this home as our base. The home was clean, had all the basics in the kitchen, had plenty of towels and blankets, was pet friendly but didn't smell like pets, had a good heater on a cold night, was close walk to the beach and shops, and was a short drive to Sleeping Bear. I felt the pet fee and other fees could have been more clear, so the overall price was a bit more than we were expecting, but other than that it was terrific. Thanks for a great stay!

Fall & half-marathon weekend
This property was spotless and in a perfect location. We had a great weekend with 2 teens and a child, enjoying the beach (5 minutes away) and the awesome town and nearby dunes. It was a perfect getaway and amazing location....especially for the Sleeping Bear Dunes marathon race start/finish line. We hope to be back soon!

Great Location!
This house was clean and cozy and had all the basics we needed. The best part was the location- we could easily walk a couple blocks to the Empire beach and the playgrounds, and were steps away from the handful of shops and restaurants on the main street.

Ideal location and home base for Sleeping Bear Dunes
The location couldn't have been better. An easy walk to Lake Michigan and South Bar Lake. We even were able to enter the bike trail of Sleeping Bear Dunes from near we were staying. And easy to walk to a cafe and cute store behind the house. My only comment is that the noise from downstairs is very audible to those upstairs -- it's all wood floors and a relatively open second floor -- but should not be a problem if all early risers in your group.

Close to Dand dunes
The house was nice for out family of 6. It had great location. The only down fall is we couldn't have 2 people shower back to back even if it was for only 6 minutes because the second person would run out of hot water. Overall we were pleased.

Great Place, Great Location
I visited with my four daughters, a son-in-law and a dog and we had a great time. The place was very clean and roomy for all of us. Great location and close to the beach, trails and the dunes climb as well as nearby Glen Arbor and Traverse City. Would definitely come back again next year. Thanks Steve

Empire is a perfect place to stay. You can walk to a beautiful Lake Michigan beach. You can walk to local restaurants. The house is super clean. Just bring yourself and your provisions. Everything else is there.

Great “Base camp” for exploring the area!
This house was perfectly located just a couple blocks from the beach. Easy access to Empire, the beautiful Empire Bluff trail, and a quick, easy drive to many area attractions. The house itself was immaculate and well stocked for a relaxing getaway!

Great location and very clean!
We loved this house in Empire. It was walking distance to the beach with many shops and restaurants on an adjacent road. The house is much bigger than it appears in the photos and we were impressed at how clean it was upon our arrival. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking meals and the house was very comfortable for our family of 6. It was a great area and a great stay and one we'd like to visit again next summer!
