Breakfast was adequate and reasonable value

Getting into the hotel in the first place - it took quite some time for a person to answer the phone to tell us how to access the the room keys!

The lady was lovely and was even kind enough to drive me to the station on the morning I checked out. The room was nice and the fan in the room helped deal with the high temperature. Breakfast was lovely too

I have high standards and found this place very good value for money, stayed in alot worse for alot more. Appenweier is a sweet sleepy little place, just off the autobahn. There's a Netto, a pub and a couple of places to get something to eat. There is a cafe/restaurant next to the B&B which was shut for hols or something when we stayed, there's also a cafe within the same building which is where you have breakfast. Room was clean, nice to have tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge (something you don't always get in Europe even in expensive hotels). We found the bed and pillows comfortable and slept well. Shower not very powerful but warm and wet. Plenty of off road parking in the car park with some spaces out of view of main road if you're worried about your pride and joy No hesitation in recommending this B&B if you're looking for a basic, clean, comfortable place for a one night stopover to break up a journey, would definitely stay again

Had to make a phone call on arrival to get code for room key safe which is not a problem if you've got EU roaming. Make sure you put the light on if you get up in the night, I didn't and crashed my shin into the corner of the very hard wooden bed frame... ouch!! You could hear some sounds from other rooms although it didn't stop me sleeping. Breakfast choice was limited but enough to set you up for the day. Hot choice was just egg, no sausage or bacon. Choice of cereals and cold meats and cheeses. Bread rolls were delicious though and latte also good

Loved the friendly staff, ho-made breakfasts, excellent restaurant next door so you can enjoy the local wine or beer and walk back to the hotel. Easy access to the train.

The attention to detail allows the guest to relax and enjoy the stay. Very smooth experience, this is a small family hotel done right. The owner was very kind in helping me with my arrangements to get to the place. There is a lovely restaurant with a nice garden and great local kitchen opposite the hotel.
