Our company has used this rental for our physician, who has worked a couple of temporary assignments in the area. He has expressed how much he enjoys the stay here, how comfortable his stay has been both times, and how great the owners are! Personally, I know they have been wonderful to work with! We know how important their housing is, in determining how much they like, or don't like, their assignment. It's not always easy when we are not there in person to see the place first hand, and happy when we find places like this, that we know we can trust!

Our stay at this apartment was very comfortable and relaxing. The apartment was very nicely decorated, cozy and clean. Mary and Tom were very nice and extremely helpful. They were very prompt in providing us with all our needs. They were also very flexible with Check In and Checkout time as well. For families with kids this is a great place to stay as there is a big backyard and a park where kids can play and a great alternative to Hotel. I loved the rental. Here is my review of the property. Decoration was great plus the flat screen TV and internet access. I brought my computer with me and when I was ready to get onto the internet, I requested a passcode and it was provided right away. There is a laundry so bring some quarters but it is the down stairs with easy access from the rear deck 10:00a-10:00p .The wood floors and leather furniture wiuth the electric fireplaces was very cozy and comfortable. What I thought was good it has a full kitchen. So basically you get a 2 bed-room apartment and it is not crowded at all. Strange but bigger than the apartments. I have been in.Excellent space since I live in a large home in the south. I guess the building property is considered older but everything in Alaska is. It’s been updated, so it shows they built every-thing big back then. Compare to the tiny two bedrooms of today. There is all the dishes and pots and pans you’ll need just buy some groceries and you can cook some good Alaskan fish. Though I caught none the fishing experience was superb. Alaska is bright but I thought it was cool that it was always daylight a mystery to Alaska uniqueness. The long daylight allowed us to see a lot that Alaska has to offer. The daylight was not a problem. Something different but neat was that there was entry code for the main door and a box for me to get my key when I arrived and place it when I left or I could have left it on the mantel. I arrived about three hours early than was expected so I couldn’t immediately get in though I tried . They had emailed the codes and instructions, but my brain was working on hotel mode. Someone standing at a desk, but this was like going into your own apartment. So, I grabbed some Japanese food from a place around the corner like a little diner. I returned and saw Mary she was putting the key in the lock box. Still 2 hours for check- In. She let us go in early. That was great. Because I think now they must put key in close to check in which makes sense. Great decorations with the comforters and colors and was very clean considering my germ a phobia. Bed sleeps good and Mary was very friendly and if I had any questions on how to get somewhere gave great great instructions. I would recommend. Grills outside to cook on so my family and I enjoyed our stay.

Received e-mail quote of one price. When we went to confirm, owner would not honor it saying the e-mail was sent by a "teenager," and offered a price $21 per night higher. We reluctantly agreed. It took 3 phone calls on the day of arrival to establish time to pick up keys, and 3 more once we were in to get internet password. Not very responsive. There are no blackout shades or blinds on windows, so on long summer days bedrooms are very bright and sleep might be a problem. Building dates to 1965 and has some nice updates, but at shows its age with squeaky and uneven floors, and very old bathroom fixtures. No air conditioning or fans -- Anchorage can get quite warm at times. We had a late flight on our checkout day, and though the contract actually said our checkout day was the following day, we were asked to leave or pay extra although one of the owners had said we could stay late. The excuse: the contract date was wrong due to "human error." Especially after the rate quote problem, this was the last straw. Business owners need to take responsibility for their communications and put the customer first. Prospective renters should obtain a copy of the contract in advance, and study it. If possible, visit the property before committing. Though it is on an attractive lot, it is surrounded by an area you may not feel comfortable walking in. Get all details agreed to in writing in advance. If you don't like the place once you're in it, the contract requires you to pay anyway.

We were a party of 6 including 2 toddlers and stayed here for a week. The apartment was very well decorated and had all basic amenities and it was a very comfortable stay for us. The patio was great. The park in front of the property was very useful for the toddlers to play around. Moreover the owners were very nice. They were very helpful and attended to our needs so promptly. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in anchorage and explore nearby drivable attractions. We would definitely like to stay here again if we travel to alaska again..which i am sure we will..
