We were a little disappointed with the rental company this time. The elevator was broken from the previous week but the rental company did not communicate that with us. I called them twice to see if it would be fixed within our stay and it was not. The lack of communication was frustrating. The bear proof trash can also did not work. We tried to find ways to keep the bears out but to no avail. So we waited until we were leaving to put trash in.we have rented through Mt. Laurel several times and I recommend them all the time to people, but I was disappointed in the customer service and communication from them this time. Hopefully they will get the elevator fixed before next the guest or at least tell them upfront it isn't working.

A couple of small items we noticed that you might want to consider
1. The decks look old and worn and need staining- stands out from the rest of the property.
2. A small old water spot in bathroom ceiling where paint is peeling off.
3. Unless you really watch - the fridge door does not close. A notice on the door to push it shut might save food for a guest if not closed overnight.
4. Our Sonata would drag going in and out of driveway- looks like the road has been repaved and nothing you can do about this.

Aside from these few small matters, all is very good and we hope to return again to this or another one of your units.

I loved the way everything was labeled on the drawers, shelves & cabinets in the kitchen for your use of the dishes, silverware, knives, pots & pans, table mats etc, and especially all the spices in the spice drawer.
Everything was there for us and we had a need of nothing.
The elevator was so much a blessing transporting our luggage to and from the bedrooms. We were also elated with the jacuzzi and we had fun taking pictures with bear Clyde.
The hot tub was definitely a plus and the game room and theater made our game night so much fun. Everything we needed was right there, and it really was like we were at home.
we loved everything about our stay at this chalet and we are planning on renting it again in 2022, Lord wiling.

I missed the opportunity to see the employees during this trip, but that is no fauly of their own thanks to social distancing. As for the property, I have stayed there 4 times now. I think I can honestly say that if I had the opportunity to stay in only one house in the Gatliburg area, this would be it. While I miss the novelty or the old stilted design, I can not argue the addition of the basement is a definite improvement. I can also say that the property is much improved since our 2016 visit. It had been recently remodeled at that point, and I felt the craftsmanship was subpar. It has again been updated with the addition of an elevator serving the bottom 3 levels, and it appears that some of the craftsmanship issues have been rectified. This is truly a top notch property.

This was, by far, the most welcoming, comforting, spectacular cabin we have stayed at. Not only great views every moment of the mountains, but this place had every need covered. From a completely stocked kitchen to 2 hot tubs, to games and Pool table, and the most comfortable beds. BEYOND clean and beautiful - we cannot wait to go back. We literally did not leave the cabin because of the serenity and peace we were experiencing.

Each of those came close to being exactly what we wanted, but not enough to make us book there again. Poppes Pinnacle changed taht for us. We have found a place to stay year after year! We felt at home from the minute we walked in the door. Everything was clean and in good working order. We were close to everything, but far enough away, to feel like we had gotten away from everything. There was some construction noise below us, but that will only be a temporary thing. We saw several bears during our stay. One greeted us in the driveway the first night we were there. You will definitely think twice about taking the trash out after dark! ;)The views from all levels are really good. However, in our opinion, the best view is from the back end of the driveway. There are just 2 things I can think of that I was disappointed in... The grill is electric and tiny. The surface area isn't large enough to cook more than a couple of burgers and because it is electric, it loses that grilled taste. The other thing, the top floor tub room is dated and the tub didn't seem to be very sanitary. That was not a huge deal for us, as we had no plans to use it. However, if you have small kiddos to bathe (the other bathrooms are showers only) you may find that bit of info handy. Honestly though, overall, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect house and location to spend the week! We cannot wait to go back a few times next year!

I was referred to Mountain Laurel Chalets by a friend who has been to Gatlinburg many times. I had a blast looking for the perfect rental on th website. I narrowed it down to 3 and when we saw that Poppes' had an elevator, we were sold! Not that we can't do stairs, but because of the luxury of it! When we walked in we were in awe at the insanely gorgeousd views!!! Huge windows everywhere, hardwood floors, beautiful bathrooms, and of course we had so much fun tsking the elevator every day, multiple times per day! We enjoyed sitting out on the upper balcony, drinking our coffee, and watching for bears! We got a visit from a big one at our garbage bin one morning. They sure are crafty at getting those open! It was really fasscinating to read the framed article about Poppes Pinnacle in the stairwell. We love history and it was a cool origin story. We loved how they specificallly made both bedrooms equally lovely so nobody felt short changed by their accomodations. The property was clean and well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed making meals as well as going out. Moonshining was great, and ziplining in the mountains was incredible. There's so much to do in Gatlinburg, we cannot wait to come back!
