Dies ist eines der bekanntesten Cottages der Insel, das neu renoviert und eingerichtet wurde! Perfekt für einen romantischen Kurzurlaub, einen Kurzurlaub mit der Familie oder für Paare! Whirlpool, große private Terrasse, Gaskamin, etc .. Ein Schlafzimmer, ein Bad, gemütliches Wohnzimmer, gebeizte Holzdecke. Innenraum Esszimmer für 7 Personen (10 Sitzplätze in der Bar) und Sitzplätze im Außenbereich für 6-8 Personen und Whirlpool für 6 Personen! Überdachter Parkplatz für 1 Fahrzeug auf dem Grundstück. Perfekte Entfernung zwischen der Fähre zum Strand und der Marine Avenue, wo Sie großartige Geschäfte, Bars und Restaurants im Inselstil finden!

This cottage is just perfect. It’s spacious, tastefully decorated, and wonderfully stocked. The directions were detailed and precise. The host was incredibly quick to reply. The backyard with the hot tub is huge and comfy. Can’t wait to stay again.

Property exceeded expectations. Everything that could be needed was accessible and available including a fully stocked kitchen plus beach towels and equipment. Would definitely stay again. Close to the ferry and the island shops/restaurants.

We had a wonderful quiet stay. Very fun island to stay on and we were able to take day trips to Laguna and Dana Point while here. Very convenient and nice and peaceful area. Host was wonderful and called to make sure our check in went smoothly. We’d definitely entertain staying again if it’s available.

A really beautiful place in an equally beatiful location. The garage parking and the outdoor space were particular highlights for this cottage. Cozy and comfortable place that exceeded our expectations for the visit.

We stayed here during a vacation with our children and grandchildren. They shared a larger house where we spent a lot of time. We returned to this house at the end of the evenings for peaceful nights. This was perfect for a couple! We kept the windows open during the day and only ran the AC in the bedroom at night for coolness and white noise. This little house is conveniently located equal distance from the ferry and Marine St. It’s a quick 1/2 block to the walking path around the island. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it was conveniently located in a quiet courtyard just out the back door.
We love Balboa Island and have made several trips here. I love that everything is within walking distance. We parked the car and walked all week. It’s very convenient to have a parking spot in the rear of the house.
Check in and out was quick and easy. We definitely would stay here again!

We so enjoyed our long weekend stay at Mariners Cottage. The proximity to the water allowed us to stay cool with the breeze blowing in the windows. We could walk everywhere easily - a great location! Our stay was quick so we didn't have time to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub but the privacy of the back patio was nice to have available. Chase was very responsive to questions and the check in process was seamless. I would highly recommend this property!

We loved our stay at Mariner’s Cottage! We live locally and book stays on Balboa Island for staycations. We have booked more than 10 rentals of all different sizes on the island over the past 5 years and this was by far the best. Best location, best interiors, best amenities, best hosts. Highly highly recommend!

Chase’s place was perfect for our little family! It’s a in a great location with walkable access to the beach and town. The beds were comfortable and the home was equipped with everything we needed. We appreciated a nice clean comfy and quiet place to land after a day of beach activities with the kids. Thanks Chase! We will be back again :)

Very easy check in/out, Comfortable and clean. Fully stocked with all you need. No fault of of the owner but the area is in a flight path of the nearby airport. Initially annoying but got use to it quickly. I even added on a couple of days.

This Balboa Island cottage is such a gem. Located within a block of the water and a short stroll to the main street shops/restaurants and the ferry, we didn’t need the car at all. Everything was clean, tidy and well presented. The hot tub and firepit sitting area outside were such a treat. We would definitely stay here again.

Chase is a wonderful host! He's very attentive, responsive, friendly and accommodating. The cottage is clean and so cozy - it felt like our home away from home. It's stocked with everything you can imagine and is so comfortable. We loved the location, as it's walking distance to the bay, 5 min from the ferry and tons of restaurants and shops. We highly recommend!! You won't be disappointed.

The pictures do not do this rental justice. The unit was much more spacious than I had expected. It is loaded with all the details you want to have on hand in the kitchen, all the beach essentials and an at home desk set up - this owner has thought of everything. Great location on Balboa Island - so many ways to walk and explore the neighborhood. We can't wait to go back!

Chase's property and the surrounding area were beautiful. Quiet, quaint and lovely people everywhere we went. The pictures do not do the place justice. The cottage and its amenities surpassed expectations and we loved it. We’ve lived on Balboa Island as residents and were thrilled w/the cottage’s location. Furnishings inside, quality wood surfaces & a large, enclosed back patio afforded an indoor-outdoor daily lifestyle. The water pressure is astounding for showering after a beach day or kayaking. The kitchen is outfitted w/many devices for cooking adventures, such as a smoothie blender for healthy breakfasts. The proprietor is kind and fast to respond to any communications. It’s an ideal cottage for a small family. High recommend!

Perfect location on Balboa Island
We truly had an amazing time. Chase was fantastic to work with, and the space was really laid out nicely. Having a hot tub and fire pit area really extended the living area. We had a great time. We walked to the ferry every morning and rode bikes everywhere.
We enjoyed elbow Island and the wonderful shops and restaurants..
We would definitely come back next year.

Fabulous Cottage!
Everything was so perfect! The cottage feels like home. The host was super responsive and welcoming. Super well maintained and so close to everything the Island has to offer. Bonus points for allowing pets. We would absolutely love staying here again!

Perfect getaway
Location is great. Walked to all the restaurants and shops in balboa and hopped on the ferry a handful of times to head to the beach. Property is clean and has everything you need.

Great island getaway
Had a wonderful time staying at this lovely cottage on balboa island. Plenty of space for me and my girlfriend, but the space could easily accommodate a couple with young children. Back patio was amazing and very private with a hot tub for soaking after a long day. Host was receptive and quick to answer our questions. Would highly recommend based on amenities and proximity to marine ave and ferry. Big thumbs up!!!!

Beautiful Balboa Bungalow
My best friend and I were absolutely thrilled with this property and the experience with Chase! Looks just like the pics but feels much bigger in person. The patio area is absolutely amazing place to chill. The house is well stocked and the bed is really comfy (I know that's important to a lot of peeps) Loved the location, you can see Balboa Bay from the house--easy to walk to the bay, beach, downtown Balboa and biking for miles. To top it off you have you own personal parking space! Can't wait to visit again!
