Overall it was a descent enough experience. Great location and a fantastic view of the beach. Friendly staff. The cleanliness of the property could improve as the floors were not really clean. Seems there is a problem with the showers, no COLD was always really hot even at the "coldest" setting. Due to a joining door, we didn't enjoy hearing the neighbors conversations, laughs, arguments, etc... while in the main bedroom. Sound proofing between unit 220 and 221 not good.

We had the best time at The Beach on Longboat Key!!! The unit # 221 was great! It is super spacious and CLEAN!!! From the moment we checked in with Miss Sue to the day we left our stay was great! Love the privacy of this unit on the end and the views breathtaking! Will definitely be renting again!!!!

The ocean view is awesome. However the rental has issues: internet service sparse, tv is not HD and hard to pick up channels. The front desk lady was nice but of no help with the tv. Rust in bathtub. One tubs drain doesn’t work. Missing knob on closet door (sloppy care). Love to go back to the area but will pick another place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo has a beautiful view on the beach. We loved watching the birds and dolphins swim by. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely return if we are back in the area.

This property is in a great location! The room was very spacious but needs some work! The walls had marks all over them (from guests I’m sure) but it made it look very dirty. They definitely need to be repainted. The couch cushions were missing buttons and looked very worn. The refrigerator had a shelf that was put back together with tape. I have stayed at this hotel before in a different room and it was very nice and updated. I just think for the price the owners could make it quite a bit nicer and kept up. I would stay in this unit again if I needed to but definitely prefer something a little more kept up. Side note the beds were really comfortable except for the pull out couch. It was horrible! In regards to the staff, they were very accommodating when the unit lacked blankets.

Very nice outdoor space, pretty garden area with a grill. Pool area was nice the pool was clean but some cigarette butts dumped by the pool. Beach and beach chairs were plentiful very nice. The balcony had nice view. The unit was large well equipped in unit washer dryer was great. My only complaint was the walls are really thin and the main bedroom was noisy. The wall need a fresh coat of paint. When we arrived slightly early out key was available, we went to the room thinking it must be ready and one of the house cleaning staff was cooking bacon in the unit it was weird. When we came back and talked with the manager she said they have a problem with that. Our smoked alarm needed a new battery and they changed it right away.

We stayed in unit 221 in March 2023. Overall, we thought the place was overpriced because it wasn’t as comfortable, modern, or clean as it should have been. Some things were fine (the central air and the bathrooms) and many just weren’t up to par (stuffing and springs falling out of the one LR chair, none of the TVs has a decent picture (no HD?), kitchen stove has non-working burners and displays worn off, kitchen equipment is unpredictable - no potholders, for example). The balcony is half the size of the others on the 2nd floor, the on-site office was never staffed when we were there and the rental agent answered one but not the other of our emails, and the “complimentary” beach chairs, shared by all and not set aside for each unit, were broken and too few. We have rented at other places on this beautiful beach and never paid as much for as little.

Stayed in this same Unit back in May 2021.Blinds in Master Bdrm still inoperable, no housekeeping ( ridiculous for the amount of $$$$$ we were paying, safe in room was not operable, no key to deadbolt. Worst of all was the adjoining rentable unit behind the master bedroom was seperated by a door that was not soundproofed. You could here everything going on in that unit, from using the microwave in the am to blasting the TV during th pm hours

Me, my wife, my brother, his wife, and our two kids between us stayed here for just a couple of days, but it was fantastic. Lovely view right on the beach with both a huge window and a nice little balcony, a cozy pool and deck, and a room with plenty of space for the six of us. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were adequate, and the kitchen had everything we needed despite the small size. The provided WiFi was not great, but who needs streaming video when you can hear the ocean from the balcony?
My brother and I would both stay here again if the situation presented itself.

Great location but not worth the money
The pictures online were very deceiving . The property could have definitely been a lot cleaner. The floors were dirty upon arrival and the blankets on the bed where my children slept were soiled. The living room couches were worn out. The noise level from the other guests was beyond annoying. It felt like they were in the room with you. I believe I read that someone would come in to clean up and that never happened. We never saw anyone to get new blankets or towels so that was definitely frustrating. The only good part was the location because it was close to our family who lives there. I can honestly say that my time at this property was not relaxing or enjoyable at all.

We enjoyed our stay, loved the restaurants on longboat and anna marie. We fried eggs every morning, it would have helped to have a spatulla to work the eggs. my only complaint was when we all left to go out it was difficult to lock the door, my wife couldn't lock it and it was hard for me to do it. Overall we would come back but would reserve a single bedroom unit. #221 doesn't have enough room on the patio for 4 adults.

Loved how easy it was too access the beach. Spent the mornings on the beach and then returned for the sunsets. Keene was decently stocked to cook some basic things. Publix is less than 3 mins away so easy to stock up on supplies. Only complaint was the cleanliness - could be better. Dusty and random strands of blonde hair on pieces of furniture or on the bathroom. I would go back for the location!

A Special Phone Call Can Make All the Difference
Three Hours before we were slated to check in I received a call on my cell phone that our unit was clean and if we desired to, we could check in. This call really impressed me. I have traveled a lot and this was the first time I had ever received a call to let me know I could check in early.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very relaxing vacation. The location was very close to a public grocery store and cvs so it allowed us to have most of our meals in to avoid the cost and traffic getting to other locations.
