My customers had a great time at this property!

We had 10 adults and 7 children 6 and under. The layout of the house was great. There was plenty of rooms for everyone. It has 2 apartments that we also used. It also had a big room that we used as a family. The pool was a nice addition but we had to pay $200 extra a night to heat it along with hot tub. That was on top of the rental per night. The hot tub was only heated 4 hours a day. The first day the hot tub was cold. I felt like the house was dated and not worth what we paid a night. The pictures showed it more plush with the house and surrounding area. . Stas was very prompt in answering questions for us before we came and met us at the house when we arrived. There were also a few pieces of art we took down because the women were naked or had a suggestive inuendos. I missed that when scrolling through the pictures on line.

Lovely home in the Mt Helix hills! Our group of 21 enjoyed everything about the house - the location, the layout, the view, and pool! It met our needs perfectly!

We’re a group of 6 golfers the property was fantastic for after golf activity. The kitchen was marvelous a bonus was watching the Olympics

First of all, let me say that Stas is a 5-star host ... very responsive, supportive and helpful. Thank you, Stas! This was a last minute booking for us, as we needed to congregate as a family in the San Diego area over the Thanksgiving holiday on short notice. Although only a maximum of 9 people would be staying overnight at the property, we were looking for a place that could accommodate 17 of us for Thanksgiving dinner. Stas's property fit the bill, and he made sure there were enough tables and chairs for us to comfortably seat everyone together ... it was a very special gathering for us. The house is spacious with a large great room / dining room that is a good place to gather. The kitchen is also large, with plenty of counter space to prepare a large meal and socialize at the same time. All of the appliances worked just fine, and there were ample pots, pans, etc. There are 7 bedrooms, and all either have en-suite, shared or nearby common bathrooms ... so very convenient. We had a maximum of 9 people staying the night during our visit, and only used 6 of the 7 bedrooms. While the great room and kitchen are large, this is not an "open concept" house by any means; it is built in a European villa style with many steps, segregated spaces, patios and doors. There are multiple doors leading to the outside, and lots of individual spaces to isolate if you want to. It takes a while for guests to be able to find their way around the multiple interior and exterior spaces ... especially with an after-dark arrival. Some of the fixtures, decor and certain other areas in the house could use an upgrade or a little TLC , but everything worked just fine and was very comfortable. The heated pool and jacuzzi were definitely a hit, with clear elevated views all the way to the bay. The nighttime views were spectacular. While we were there, we experienced some daily construction noise from a house being built just below the property ... but not too bad. Also, there's a big dog next door that barks occasionally ... but again, not too bad. Once again, many thanks and high accolades to Stas for being such a terrific host!

We had a wonderful time over Labor Day weekend! The pool was fabulous, the kitchen well stocked in terms of pots/dishes/utensil/glasses/coffee filters, tons of beds and rooms for all of us, multiple large TVs, easy food shopping nearby, tons of sunshine and wide open views. (Be sure to bring your own pantry basics like salt/pepper/oil/vinegar/foil, plus baking sheets and cooling racks if you want to make cookies, which we always do.) We loved it!

Great view, clean property. You can tell that the owner had pride in his property as it was clean and well-maintained. Good communication and everything was as described. The great room was a big and private hang out place for the family. We went up to see the cross on Mount Helix and that was fun as well. Overall, a nice property and great experience. Thanks, Stas!

If you want to go to San Diego with a large group, this is a great option. Common areas were large and pool was great. Way better value than renting on the coast. One thing to note is the property manager comes between 6am and 9am each morning to check the pool. The house comes with bath towels but bring your own pool towels. Laundry onsite if you want to just use the bath towels.

We celebrated my husband's 65th birthday with our immediate family under one roof! We ALL had an amazing time and the house was perfect for each of us. The accommodations were perfect and we never left the property for 3 full days! We would come back and highly recommend the property for family get-togethers! Thanks Stas for a memorable weekend!

Held our first annual family (mom, siblings, in laws and nephews and nieces) vacation and this home accommodated everyone. Lots of rooms and beds to accommodate 20 people easily. Was given clear instructions by the owner/host on the dos and don’ts of the property (common sense items) upon arrival and host was very attentive to our needs during our stay. He discreetly checks in the pool to make sure filter and heater are working properly. Great views of the city that became part of our family group picture. House has all the amenities you can think of. Great experience overall.

This property is beautiful! We had 17 family members ranging from a 6 month old to our elderly mother in this home with us. The home was large enough that you never felt crowded. The pool, trampoline, outdoor area gave kept our kids entertained. Stas was a great host and was very communicative. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We had a great stay the week of Christmas!  The house was spacious, well-appointed and the views were beautiful.  It was a rainy week and we spent a lot of time inside… with 6 adults and 6 kids (ages 8-16), we had a ton of room to spread out while enjoying our time together. Overall the house was in nice condition, aside from the cleanliness of the floors. The property manager comes to the house every morning (even Christmas day) - important if privacy is a concern to you. We mentioned the floors to him on one of his visits and he told us to clean them, not what we expected to hear. After purchasing some cleaning supplies and a few hours of scrubbing, we were able to enjoy clean floors (and feet!) for the rest of our trip. We did contact the owner with photos, nicely explaining our frustration with having to clean when paying a premium for our stay along with a cleaning fee and asked for consideration in refunding a portion of the cleaning fee for the supplies we purchased and time spent. He agreed, although irritated and seemed mostly concerned with how we would review our stay. Bummer ;(. He did explain how he had cleaned the house himself (the cleaning fee is used at his discretion for cleaning after guests left and not for a professional cleaning prior to guest arrival - good information for future guests to be aware of). The house is very nice, however, we would probably not return based on our interaction with the owner.

We rented this home for our family to gather and celebrate the graduation of our son from MCRD. The house was perfect in every way. Location, size, cleanliness, amenities were all perfect for our family to be together and celebrate. Stas was a great host.

Spacious, private hacienda-style home, perfect for our family Thanksgiving reunion. Great views, easy access to freeways for shopping and trips into Downtown San Diego and harbor area. Quiet neighborhood. Some maintenance issues. Use of pool and spa costs extra but didn’t affect us i because it was raining. We enjoyed our stay!

We were a large group of women on vacation. The house is beautiful! It was very clean, with a variety of amenities and there is so much space to spread out and relax. The neighborhood is quiet and the view from the backyard makes you want to stay out there all day. It would be helpful to know, beforehand, all extra costs for the use of amenities like the pool and hot tub and any planned visits from the owner. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Great stay, awesome house. Sometimes a little hard for Ubers to find, but overall fantastic! Stas was very helpful and responsive.

Great all around experience!

There were 11 of us....and everyone was pleased with the accommodations. The house is very spacious....so we were not always bumping into each other. We all enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. I recommend this property very highly.

The overall property was good. Heating of the pool and hot tub was not typical of other properties we have stayed at. It was only heated for 4 hours a day and you pay $150 a day for that. The house could use new doors for all the bedrooms and bathrooms. Otherwise everything was good and it fit our family well!

Nothing less than excellent. We all (17) were comfortable and enjoyed the villa and San Diego. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very spacious and has loads of beds and bedrooms. Stas, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. Our kids loved the pool and the grownups loved the views, both day and night. The home has a number of thoughtfully placed outdoor spaces, so you can be tucked away in the shade or out in the sunshine. We had everything we needed to prepare meals and stay comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay at this location. The home was beautiful and clean and perfect for our large group. The owner was extremely responsive with any question that we had and got back with us promptly. I would definitely recommend this property or any large group in San Diego. It is situated in a beautiful location, and provides very easy access to downtown. I know that you will enjoy your stay too.

Stayed here for my wife’s 40th Bday/friends reunion. The property had more than enough space for our group (4 families). The kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were comfortable. Plenty of parking in a gated driveway. The two major highlights of the property were the pool and the outdoor lounge. The view from the lounge and pool were amazing at night. Both Stas (the owner) and Aron (manager) were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The property is huge we were a group of about 15 and no one even felt it. All of the absolute necessities are provided as well. The property is well maintained. If you are planning a family vacation I recommend this home and no other

This home was clean, had everything we needed and was managed by a very responsive and nice home owner who went out of his way to make sure everything was to our liking. This was a fabulous experience from the day we arrived till the day we left. This has been my best home vacation rental experience every. I would recommend it to anyone looking to accommodate a big group.

The home was everything we expected and some more. It was roomy and the sleeping situations were plenty suitable. The pool area was clean and well kept with three grills and nice hot tub. We'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a big home for a group.

We just finished our stay at this property, and it was perfect for our family. The house is very spacious and well maintained. We really enjoyed the outside areas, including the pool. Stas was very responsive with any questions we had, and even came back to fix the grill that wasn't working. Everything is about 20 minutes from the house - La Jolla, the SD Zoo, Torrey Pines. I highly recommend this property if you're interested in visiting the SD area.

We had an excellent week at this property. It is a very well equipped house with a nice swimming pool and beautiful outdoor spaces. La Mesa is not itself a particularly desirable place, but the Mount Helix setting of this house makes for amazing views and the house is surprisingly private despite having close neighbors or either side. Also, the house feels very safe at all hours. We had six kids (ages 6-9) in our group of three families and our kids used every square foot of the indoor and outdoor spaces and we never felt that they were unsafe. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, utensils, and basic cooking materials. The bathrooms all had an adequate supply of towels and the bedsheets were fresh. The house is very clean. A few negatives: the doors creak (so if you use the restroom at night, it will wake the others in the room up). Also, there are no locks on any of the interior doors (bathrooms or bedrooms), so if you are traveling with multiple families, there is a concern of accidental door openings. Also, the washer/dryer knobs are broken, so if you wish to change the settings, it takes some effort. In summary, the house is great for multiple families traveling together but it is pricy (considering the property values in La Mesa, you will definitely pay a premium for this house) but well worth it. Also, the owner, Stas, is very friendly, helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
