Quiet, out of the way location. Exactly what we needed! Comfortable furniture, slept very well. Don't forget the bug spray. Great communication with the host.

Great house at a good location. Lots of fishing spots nearby. A nice place to stay if you want to explore southern Montana.

July 2021. Super nice casa. Clean, well stocked and very private. Couldn’t see the big sky due to the fires and couldn’t fish due to the water temperatures and levels. The fish out the back is not exactly correct. You must traverse a couple hills to get to the water. If you have physical disabilities, it’s almost impossible to get their. The owners are extremely nice and responsive. The casa is well maintained and has very modern amenities. This property is located directly in the middle of nowhere. It’s perfect for a true getaway. If we travel to the big sky again, we would definitely consider this property.. Thnx again.. Kurt and Polly.

This house is wonderful. The wildlife and privacy was everything! We spent Christmas here and it was just perfect. House is stocked so well and host made sure we were cozy and kept us in the loop on things we needed to know. We would come back in a heartbeat!

the location was wonderful, quiet and secluded. the rooms were good, kitchen was very nice and roomy, bedrooms were just perfect. It needs a good cleaning (cobwebs were thick to say the least :), dust as expected on a dirt road and lots of dead flies in the windowsills so it hadn't been touched in several weeks) but I would rent it again without hesitation.

Our summer stay in Silver Star, Montana was absolutely amazing. The home was located in a perfect setting. The wildlife was abundant, the neighbors were friendly and the house was perfect for our use. We would love to visit again.

This property was great for our family. My children loved playing in the yard after our daily excursions. The house was very well kept and clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

This property was exactly as listed. They even left a portable air unit in case it was warm. Extras were fun; bird feeders and flowers on the counter were just a couple.

When we first pulled into the driveway I was a little skeptical. The out side grounds and house didn't look like anything great but the inside was very updated and clean. There was everything we needed inside the house. The fire pit outside was a nice surprise. The river was very close and just a small stream and we did not have any luck catching anything. Our young adults liked the zip line in the front yard.

It was close to venue for the wedding we were there for. This property had everything we needed for our family! The children were entertained with the swing and zipline and all the fun new toys to them. The fishing was good and lots of room to not get in each others way. The Host was the Best of All! We would recommend to Everyone!

The house is very comfortable,roomy clean and in one of the prettiest settings in Montana. The hostess is very considerate and accommodating yet allowing you upmost privacy. You will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed the stay. Some improvements would be: 1 Have more than one key 2 Have trash pickup during the weekly stay 3 Had only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Need more for seven people staying one week 4. Clean out freezer with food from prior renter

This location was absolutely perfect for our family stay!! It was close to the location where the guys were fishing & close to plenty of other locations for exploring, shopping & just relaxing. The only downside was the mosquitos in the evening, but even that was manageable. I just wish we could have stayed longer...or that I could pick up that master bath & take it home with me! Since we are MT natives & like to head back periodically, we definitely plan to stay here again in the future! Thanks to Keri & family for a beautiful home away from home!!

My husband & I stayed a week in the Jaynes’ house with our 3 kids (14,12 & 8). We knew it was going to be amazing when we saw the Mountain View and turned on the dirt road. We were greeted by a turkey & a deer in the front yard. The layout of the house was perfect for the 5 of us! The first stop we made was at Wal-Mart about 35 minutes away to stock up. After that initial trip, we visited the market in Twin Bridges (about 15 minutes away) for anything needing replenished (they have a pretty good selection). My husband spoke to the neighbor with the horses and got permission for the kids to pet them and occasionally feed them apples (one of our favorite things to do). From our location we spent a day in Yellowstone, entering from West Yellowstone (which is almost a 3 hour drive). The drive took us through several great little towns like Sheridan, Nevada City and Virginia City. We had a great little lunch in Sheridan at a small burger joint (fried green beans were amazing). We actually returned to Nevada and Virginia Cities two days later. We took a ride on the train from Virginia to Nevada, panned for gold and walked through the representation of an old mining town (it was expansive and the kids loved it). Back in Virginia we ate some awesome pizza at Bob’s for lunch, had an amazing dinner at the steak house (very pricey) and had ice cream made on site at the Virginia City Creamery (Huckleberry is to die for). We even spent some time letting the kids spinner fish in the lake right before Virginia City which is specifically for kids up to 14 (all kids caught some huge rainbow trout). Tip; if you mention you are staying in Silver Star, you can get a $20 discount off the family pass (good for up to 5) which includes all the great stuff in both Virginia and Nevada. While staying in the house we not only saw the deer and turkey several times, but a badger rambled through the yard, there were antelope and elk in the hills across the street and my daughter saw a moose outside her window. I texted Kari several times during our stay and she was always very quick to answer. Another tip: make sure you have plenty of bug spray (we left behind some deep woods Off) because the mosquitos are wicked come dusk! All in all, we had an amazingly wonderful time. We didn’t want to leave. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay in this house in Silver Star, especially if you’re looking to get away from it all and enjoy the wonder God has created.

Lots of room in clean home, with 4 nice bedrooms, spacious kitchen and dining area. Loved fenced backyard for our dogs. Owners responded in timely & friendly manner to pre-visit queries and during our stay. Enjoyed outside walks in very rural and scenic setting. There during early winter and comfortable in house. Appreciated WiFi access, laundry amenities and child-friendly items & play area. Really pleasant stay and we'd definitely stay again .

We came to attend a wedding at The Round Barn. This location was an easy drive to Twin Bridges. The property is beautiful. We hiked right out the front door, tubed the river out the back door. The home provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Lots of room for the seven of us to enjoy.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home in Big Sky Country! We have 6 young children 10 years old and under, and were in Montana for a family reunion in the nearby town of Whitehall. With a large family we prefer renting vacation homes over staying in hotels, and this was one of my favorite experiences ever! The home was cozy and welcoming with the perfect amount of room for us all, the property was gorgeous and the owner Keri was so friendly and quick to respond to texts or answer any questions we had. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, very clean and I loved having lots of closet space to hide away luggage, shoes, coats and all that. One very welcome surprise was the toys they had in the bunk bed room and in the basement playroom. They even had an exersaucer-type toy that was perfect for my baby boy! The views all around were wonderful. Our older kids loved exploring and especially playing in the creek that runs through the property. The only thing I was sad about was that we didn't spend more time at the house, as we were often in Whitehall with our family. I was sad to leave our home away from home and would love to stay there again! P.S. I had forgotten one thing about Montana, even though I grew up there...lots of mosquitoes in the summer, especially near water! So bring bug spray...we actually found several cans in the house! I was impressed because Keri warned us about mosquitos beforehand and told us she would even have a bug specialist come and fog the property to help. Awesome experience with this rental!

Absolutely loved staying at this place. It was clean and comfortable. Great wildlife viewing. We saw a moose and many deer from the property. It was a great base for all our activities in the area.

This property is fabulous. The house was impeccably clean, super cozy, and perfect for a family getaway. The kitchen was perfect for home cooked meals, and the property is very private which was something we were looking for. We saw a lot of wildlife, and the slough (accessible on the property) was beautiful. Even though it rained for much of our stay, the house was warm and inviting. We arrived to a very clean, modern, and very nice home for our fishing trip. We normally stay in way less, but because my wife and in-laws were along we opted to stay in a larger and much nicer place. This place worked out well for us all. From here the guys and I fished the Ruby River, Poindexter Slough, Wise River and the Gallatin River. At the same time my family explored other parts of Montana, went to Yellowstone National Park and took a trip over to Idaho. Everyday we saw several Whitetail Deer in the field to the north and east of the house and heard Sandhill Cranes in the nearby hay fields. The internet worked very well, making it easy to keep tabs on work. The house has Dish Network which was nice for those who wanted to keep up on the news or watch a movie. The 4 Rivers Fly Shop in Twin Bridges is a common stop for us, but a wonderful find was the Anderson & Platt Fly Shop in Dillon. I would recommend anyone, young to old, to rent this vacation home.

This home is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The owners were very responsive and answered any questions we had. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare any meals. The home is isolated and very peaceful. We will stay here again next time we are in the area.

We were so fortunate to have Silver Star be our home away from home for most of July. It was the perfect property to access all that Montana offers. The home itself was in excellent shape, very clean, very comfortable and such a wonderful property for our family. My 12 year old is still talking about seeing two moose walk through the back yard! We would highly recommend this property for anyone looking in the Twin Bridges area.

We had a great time with our 12 year twin grandsons at this Silver Star home. Plenty to do. Great scenery.
