Great place to stay! The location, view, and access to the beach were fantastic! The house was very clean and well stocked. Some of the furnishings were pretty worn, but everything was clean and neat. The management company was great to work with, very responsive!

It was time for our annual beach visit with our friends from childhood. The house was just right for us. We enjoyed long beach walks and whale watching right from the yard.

We love this house! This was our 4th year staying here and we just love the layout and the ocean views. The rocks at the bottom of the stairs to the beach are a little sporty but still a fairly easy way to get to the ocean.The deck is always wonderful for an afternoon relax listening to the waves. The new kitchen organizers were great!

We enjoyed the location, views, beach access, and vintage charm of the house. The kitchen was great and well-stocked. Unfortunately the house really needed to be deep-cleaned, especially dusting shelves, cleaning under beds and in corners, cleaning furniture, etc.

The property was perfect for all things beach related…the view from the living and dining rooms, walks on the beach, dog walking on the beach, and the sound of surf at bedtime. The property was clean, a bit worn, but perfect for us and the ability to have my dog. Just lovely.

We rented this house for ourselves, our son and daughter-in-law and four (almost five) year-old granddaughter. It was the perfect property for her first coastal adventure. The yard was perfect for toss games and an afternoon picnic. The bunnies were a bonus. The view from the living room window is spectacular. The furniture in the house for the most part is comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. The bathrooms are clean and easy to use. The entertainment room nice for watching the NFL draft, although most of us chose to watch the ocean the second night and forgo the TV. The bedrooms are situated so everyone has some privacy but could still hear the girl if see needed anything. Compared to other houses we have rented this house could use a good deep cleaning and simple maintenance updates. We were disappointed that one bed had only the sheets on it, and we had to scramble around to find blankets to finish the chore. The BBQ was a mess and deemed unusable. Parking required a bit of creative backing. But the breathtaking view makes any short comings irrelevant. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the property and would not hesitate to rent it again.

The view that you wake up to is breath taking! The home definitely needs updating. Duct tape on counter and windows. Couch was ripped and had holes. For the price it's hard to believe they wouldn't fix the issues.

This property is wonderfully positioned on the beach, with great views from the deck and even from one of the king beds, a great way to wake up. The furnishings are tired and worn. But the nearness to the shore and awesome views make up for it.

This was our second stay at the Beachfront Charmer and it is our absolute favorite little house. The location is nice and quiet. Beach access directly from the property and a backyard to spend time in. It feels like home.
We had an issue with the microwave not working during our stay and the property mangers were able to get us a new one the next morning. It was so appreciated!!
We will definitely stay here again if we can snag a reservation!

This place was great! The only negative comments would be to make sure housekeeping cleans the microwave (yuck), the grease on the wall/stove hood, and it desperately needs new bed pillows, or at least wash them. I also don't agree that the guests should wash the towels before they leave. 1) That should be what is included in the cleaning charge, 2) coming in after another guest, I don't trust that they washed the towels properly. We left the house clean and tidy, minus taking out the kitchen garbage because the dumpster was so full it wouldn't close. We appreciated the lovely yard and the view. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Each time we come to Beachfront Charmer, more is being done to spiffy up the house. It is a older beachfront cabin that has been added onto so it has a beachy charm, but with 2 comfortable king suites. We had 2 couples staying with lots of room to move about inside and out.Ocean Odyssey is wonderful to work with when making reservations, if needed.

This property is described as "rustic". That's fine - I can do rustic. I just didn't appreciate rustic, run-down, un-cared for and not so clean. The carpets are antique and filthy, the walls have not been touched (with cleaner) in what looks like forever and instead of welcoming notes, we were greeted with "take care of the septic" notes all over the house. The beach access was not easy but at least the neighbors were nice. We did enjoy the beach while there though and I'm thankful for that. And I have to say that the beds were very comfortable and clean. I can't say that I would recommend this property to a friend, but I have and will continue to recommend Odyssey Vacation Rentals. Peter is amazing especially in the world we currently live in.

We love our stays at Beachfront Charmer. It is a sweet, cozy cabin with the original cabin from mid century and back cabin added on with nice features. They blend together well. It's just a few steps down to the beach, but the last few steps are on big boulders which might be difficult for people with balance issues. The house was very clean, but could use paint touch up and window cleaning and tract cleaning. The beds were comfortable. The Ocean Odyssey staff were very helpful and are even improving their services.

Bring shoes to climb down rocks
The moment we walked in a fly greeted us, I thought no biggie until we began killing MULTIPLE flies. We stopped counting at 13. We started placing them in the toilet so we had actual proof that there were A LOT! The next morning I called the management number; they called back and were going to send someone out. We had left as we were there to vacation. When we walked outside to the beach access, I was disappointed as there are stairs until you get near the bottom, you have to climb down rocks, not flat rocks, so it was a shock. I had my 83 year old mom and my husband who has ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease so that kind of hindered them from enjoying the beach right outside the house. The floors had dog hair, I am assuming there had been a dog in there at some point as well as a lot of dust bunnies. It was bearable but for the amount of money we pay for cleaning, clearly it needs a DEEP clean if not just a clean. At the end of the stay we had problems with the dishwasher and washer not starting, after several attempts at starting and stopping the machines they kicked in, we had been using them all week so it was strange. I did contact the property management since we had to be out of there by 11am to let them know I did not have a chance to throw the towels in the dryer.

Beautiful view!
Had a wonderful vacation! Location is great- we explored up and down the coast. Walked the beach most nights in this peaceful neighborhood. Had no need to contact the management company as everything was in working order and as described in the posting. Plenty of space for a family of 4.

Beautiful
This is our favorite spot on the Oregon Coast! We loved every minute there. The home is rustic but cozy, the path to the beach is so convenient however the rocks can be a bit tricky when wet.
Overall we love this place and plan to return annually.

We have rented serval homes from you all over the years and have always been pleased with the cleanliness and condition of the properties. Not this time. The surface of the house was clean. But, it felt like we were in an elderly man's home that had not been updated for many years. The smell of the fabric on the sofa's, chairs, pillows and bedding was not pleasant. The contents in the kitchen cabinets were not clean. The stove and oven were not clean. The windows from the inside had greasy fingerprints. Dog poop was in the front yard.Now, I do understand that some people do not take pride in there homes..but I do not want to rent a place like that. We have rented very nice places from you and we will again. But, I would suggest something . Please find a way to express the condition of a home in your description. Maybe a rating system...1 to 5 or how old a property is..saying it is updated in X amount of years.The pictures can be deceiving.Our guest were from Idaho and did not complain, but it was not happy and told them how sorry I was for arranging this property.Joan Anderson

The experience was wonderful, as it always is. This is an amazing and very special place and we are so happy to be able to return about every six months for rest and recreation. I would recommend a reminder to your housecleaners to vacuum behind the beds when they clean. Everything else was wonderful.

I did feel that you were asking for a lot of clean up for a cleaning fee of 70.oo I felt that at that price the clean up should be on you. the place could use a deep cleaning, floors, windows, around toilets etc. Otherwise, wonderful stay
