Unser Haus ist ein neu erbautes Lake Placid Village Cottage. Helles, komfortables, gut ausgestattetes Haus mit 2 Master-Suiten auf separaten Etagen und WLAN im gesamten Gebäude.
Die oberste Etage besteht aus einer Kingsize-Suite mit Tempur-Pedic-Matratze, Flachbildfernseher und Deckenventilator. Angrenzend befindet sich ein Vollbad mit Whirlpool. Glasschiebetüren öffnen sich auf Deck mit Chiminea und abgelegenen eingezäunten Hof. Die Taschentüren der King Suite öffnen sich zum Wohnzimmer, wo eine weitere Reihe von Glasschiebetüren zum Deck, Grill und Garten führt. Die Küche ist komplett mit Granite Island, Theken, Geschirrspüler und Barbereich ausgestattet.
Eine offene Treppe führt zu einer anderen sonnigen Ebene mit hohen Decken. Die King Suite verfügt über einen Deckenventilator und eine Badewanne mit eleganter gefliester Dusche. Dieses Wohnzimmer hat wunderschöne, bequeme Ledercouch, Stühle und Hocker. Smart-TV und eine Auswahl an Büchern im ganzen Haus für eine ruhige Nacht zum Entspannen. Darüber hinaus gibt es auch eine Waschküche.

My husband & I and our dog enjoyed a long weekend getaway. The location was perfect for walking to town and exploring nearby shopping, restaurants and our dog loved swimming in Mirror Lake at the doggie beach. We also did some hiking at at some nearby trails as well as rode the rail trail to Saranac Lake. Josh was quick to communicate with any questions we had. So happy to have a dog friendly place with lots of activities for all near by. We will be back!

The property is in the perfect location. Listing looks exactly like the photos. Super comfortable beds too! Joshua was very responsive when I had questions leading up to our stay. Definitely would recommend staying here if you’re planning to visit Lake Placid.

the location was great. the house setup was a little strange but it worked out for our situation. my son brought his dog so having a bedroom and bath on different level than my son's family was very convenient. would stay there again

We are a family of 5 adults, 3 generations visiting Lake Placid for the weekend following the 4th of July celebration. Check in was easy with lock box access on the rear deck and facilitated by great communications with our host, Josh. We have terriers, so our filter required dog-friendly properties. house is clean, orderly, appliances in working order and the yard and expansive deck was a big plus for our pups to explore. Parking on the rear access road was convenient.
We wanted a property that was close by to the village and this home filled the bill. A 10 minute walk was all that it took to get to nearby Mirror Lake and the village. No need for a car and searching for parking.
We and the 4-legged guests enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here with two dogs. Place was perfect for us with a fenced in yard and nice places to walk the dogs around us. It was also super close to get to the ice rink (if you are used to walking 0.4 mile). We didn't use our cars most of the time (except for once when it rained).
The places does have lots of stairs, so it is not friendly for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. We didn't have any problems, but people should be aware of that.
Owner is super responsive and accommodating.
The driveway off the back yard is a little hard to find in the dark, but if you arrive during daylight, you should be able to find it.
Overall, we really appreciated having a pet-friendly home to stay in. Thank you!

Perfect combination of convenience to everything while being a quiet place to get away and relax. Loved the separate floors for sleeping quarters - perfect for our young adult son to have his own privacy. Our dogs loved the yard and upstairs - tons of tail wagging our entire stay! (comfortable beds, great shower and heat, inviting decor, kitchen and laundry conveniences, extra blankets and linens, plenty of towels; the only improvement needed is brighter lighting throughout for individuals with vision problems)

This was our first time staying at a cottage (VRBO) in Lake Placid. In the last few years, we have stayed at a hotel in the area.
We liked that the back yard was fenced in, which allowed our two little dogs to go outside to run around and play. We very much liked that we could go out to eat, but also cook at the house for a few dinners and have breakfast every morning. The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, plates, pots and pans. The cottage is older and there were a few small things where we had to contact the property owner, but he always quickly responded.

The property was just as advertised. The owner/manager was responsive and courteous. I hope we contributed some to the upkeep as well. I know we kept after the snowfall to keep the walkways and driveway and deck clear. We were pretty good about keeping the dog in the living room only, but i wasn't able to keep up with the dog as well as I would have liked outside as the snow complicated matters some. I hope we were good guests and we appreciated the hospitality.

Very quiet location with 5 minute walk to Lake Placid Olympic rink and outdoor skating oval. Great heat as we were there in January. Nice outdoor deck for summer visit.

We stayed in Josh’s rental for a few days after New Year’s. This was our first time back to Lake Placid in about five years. Being familiar with the town, we knew the general area we wanted to stay. This cottage did not disappoint! Short walk to all the shops and restaurants on Main Street, well appointed kitchen and linen closets, cute cottage decor. Parking in the back of the cottage, with a fully fenced yard for smaller kids or a dog. No complaints! We were a group of five. Two adults and three teenagers. Room for everyone to sleep and lounge comfortably. An easy 15 minute drive to Whiteface for downhill skiing. Close to all the hiking and outdoor activities one could wish for. Thank you for having us Josh. We will definitely recommend to friends and family if they are looking to stay in Lake Placid.

Excellent property for the two of us PLUS our two Labrador retreivers. They loved the fenced in yard. Location is perfect as it is in the village but has a feel of being outside the vilalge limits as its located on a very low travel road. Just a few steps away from the Lake Placid brewery and Mirror Lake. Will stay here again for sure

Everything was perfect. As advertised it is a short walk from the lake but we appreciated the neighborhood around the house-perfect for morning dog walks away from some of the foot traffic downtown. Love the porch!

This was the perfect location to stay when running the Lake Placid Half Marathon, just a block away from the Olympic oval and walkable to downtown. The inside was clean and had everything we could possibly need, and the decor was lovely. Would definitely stay here again if I'm back in Lake Placid!

This property was such a gem to find. Perfect location and within walking distances to everything you need. The cottage had all the amenities included for a comfortable getaway and was clean and inviting upon entry. The backyard’s landscaping was beautiful and had a private, cozy feel to it. 2nd time at this property and still very satisfied! It has everything you may need including a fully-stocked kitchen. We love the fenced in backyard for our dog. It was also easy for us to “baby proof” the main floor so we could easily keep an eye on a busy toddler. The property is in a great location within walking distance to Main St, Mirror Lake, etc. We will be back!

Our family of four, with dog in tow, spent a few days at this property while visiting Lake Placid and nearby areas. The house was a great fit for our family. There was plenty of space for everyone. The house was comfortable and conveniently located to the major attractions around Lake Placid. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow with our dog in the fenced back yard. If our travels bring us back to Lake Placid, this property will certainly be the first choice for our stay!

We had a fantastic trip. The property is an easy walk to all of the shops in town. It's easily accessible. The house is as advertised and worked well for our girls weekend. The only snafu was the cleaning people didn't show up before we arrived so we had to wash our own bedding. Thankfully the people before us were near and we noticed before it was too late so it wasn't a major issue.

We experienced both positives and negatives at this property. This was our 1st time staying at this location, but our third time visiting the area. It's proximity to downtown Lake Placid is excellent as advertised. Also, the house is in a very quiet neighborhood which allowed for nice, quiet evenings. On the downside we booked this property to enjoy the outside deck/patio area. Since the nights were chilly we looked forward to using the fire pit on the deck as pictured online. When we arrived the fire pit was tipped over off the deck. I called Josh to inquire about a starter supply of firewood (which we always were provided at other rentals) and was advised to reference the binder about fires since the village is strict. Also, he mentioned that we might find some wood under the deck. Lastly, the gas grill which was moved off the deck also had extremely rusty grates which obviously had not been cleaned or used in some time. I took the time to clean these before cooking and 10 minutes into cooking ran out of propane. I did not see a spare tank and midway into cooking at 8pm at night I did not contact our host. The reversed hot/cold water at the kitchen sink was just an annoyance. As always, we still enjoyed our time in Lake Placid.

The property is behind the main house which gives access to the backyard and private entrance. The house has a cottage feel and close to everything and we had a wonderful stay here. The property owners were extremely communicative and met all of our needs. Very flexible with all of our requests that we had was very appreciative of the quick response that we got from Josh and his mother with regard to the property. They really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

I stayed at the cottage with my wife, 4 kids, and 2 dogs. There was plenty of space for everyone. The house was fully equipped with everything needed to enjoy ourselves without having to run back and forth to the store. Even if that were the case, we were walking distance to anything we needed. The wife, kids and dogs love the whole trip. Looking forward to coming back again.

Need to transfer
Because of its stairs without sufficient bannisters to fully grasp, this property is not recommended for the elderly or those with injuries or disabilities. After arriving I found that I would have to descend such a set of stairs to get to the lower level and ascend another such set of stairs to get to the upper level, which I found difficult to do because of a knee injury. This layout was not indicated in the property description. The owner transferred us to the main house, which was much more accessible, but told us that we could only stay for 3 of the 7 nights we had booked because another group had booked the main house for our nights 4-7. He did suggest that we could come back 2 nights later (which we did not do), or on some other occasion, and complete our stay, which at this point is dubious. So we ended up paying for 7 nights, and staying for 3, albeit in a much better house. The main house, besides being much more accessible, is quite pleasant. The location (of both) is very good, being a short walk from Mirror Lake and restaurants. And I do appreciate the efforts of the owner to do what he could to accommodate us.

Perfect location!
We had a wonderful stay at John’s cottage. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Mirror Lake and Main Street, while also being tucked away on a quiet street. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Our dog loved the fully fenced in backyard!
