We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't have been happier. Bruce, the host, was very helpful and readily available. The cabin is beautiful and very centrally located, yet private and secluded at the same time. We would love to come back again. Wonderful trip for sure!

My friends and I stayed in Empire for three nights and had the best experience. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Bruce was also an amazing host and made us all feel at home. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Empire.

We booked Bruce’s cabin for a trip to celebrate my daughter’s 16th Birthday. It was very comfortable and well appointed. We loved the dock for coffee in the morning and fishing in the evening. The best part though was watching his Labrador do zoomies around the property. Thanks for a great stay!

This cabin was even better than the pictures online. 15-20 minutes from Dunes and shopping/restaurants. It rained one day on our trip, and this cabin provided us with a relaxing and comfortable place to chill.

I made a mid summer reservation with this property and could not have been more pleased! The host, Bruce, was quick to respond to messages and greeted us immediately upon our arrival. He showed us in to the coach house and gave great tips on where to spend time away from the house. The space was extremely clean and property very well kept. Although the coach house is relatively close to the road, DONT let it fool you! Parking is available as well, we had 2 cars and was perfect. We heard zero road noise and had fantastic nights sleep! 15 min to surrounding towns and activites. We did a little cooking, kitchen is stocked to make meals if you wish. Temp of the space was perfect, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Cleanliness? 10 out of 10 stars. Not a spec of dust anywhere. Bathroom was spotless as well. Hands down, would def rent again. We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, rentals etc in the area for the past 14 years and Bruce has made every effort to make sure our stay was pleasant and relaxing. Will be back for sure!

This is a perfect place if you like the woods, rolling hills, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, beautiful small towns with quaint shops & restaurants, etc. This cabin is sizeable, perfect for 2 to 4 people. Very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable (& great TV/sound system), good location, everything we wanted. Thanks Bruce & Luna -- we love your place!

We had a wonderful 4-night stay. The carriage house is super safe and very clean and comfortable for a small family like ours. We enjoyed private off street parking and access to a fishing pond (catch and release), bbq grill, and fire pit. Water pressure in the shower is good and the kitchen is equipped with all the basics. The property is centrally located to numerous beaches, golf, hiking trails, and restaurants. The property owner is a fantastic person who was easy to work with, as well. Definitely an excellent experience in every way.

This property/owner should be in your advertising. This is the exact reason people should chose listings like this as opposed to “corporate” hotels/locations. Host was super friendly and responsive. Property was beautiful, cozy, and impeccably cleaned. Being our first VRBO experience I am afraid Bruce (property owner) has set the bar too high for others. Bravo!!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The grounds were immaculate, and the setting very peaceful. Great location with an east drive to the dunes, several hikes, beaches and Empire, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. We met Bruce, the owner, one morning and he was very friendly and gave us suggestions for hiking, restaurants and beaches. Would highly recommend!

If you’re trying to decide if you should book this, absolutely do it !! My fiancé and I stayed for a long weekend and this little cabin was perfect!! It felt very private and had an absolutely stunning view of the lake that we could not stop staring at. The details from the lamps to the wooden stools, the dimmable lighting, it was too cute. We met Bruce and his grandson briefly as we packed up to leave and they were very sweet. We absolutely hope to go back again!! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
(Also we went in the fall and the colors over the lake are unmatched, absolutely beautiful!)

The VRBO is very clean and the property is beautiful. The location was perfect for our days exploring the area. This is a great place for an unplugged vacation. Bruce was easy to communicate with and offered some great suggestions for our time. We hope to return.

We really enjoyed staying at this property and hope to come back again someday. It is absolutely beautiful. My kids loved watching the dozens of frogs from the dock and I loved sneaking peaceful mornings / evenings on the dock. The cabin was nice and as described. My only thing to note is that as the listing says it is a small fridge. It is very small if you are trying to store a week’s worth of groceries.
The owner was so kind and gave great suggestions for exploring the area. There is so much explore nearby!

Beautiful Property
The property was gorgeous inside and out and was also very clean. The small lake behind the property was such a beautiful piece of nature. I loved to sit near it and listen to all of the birds and wildlife. Loved being just a short drive from sleeping bear dunes and also Traverse City. Can’t wait to go back!

Quiet get away
Perfect place for a quiet weekend. Check in very easy. House was very clean, stocked with clean linens, dishes. Beautiful lake to sit by in the evenings. Would definitely stay again.

My friend and I were there for a fishing trip at traverse City Bay. My wife saw this amazing cabin on vrbo. The original trip was selected go in 2020 but canceled due to covid and the experience with the manager of the property was so helpful during that time that we had to cancel.
We made arrangements again for this year and the cabin was better than I expected. It had everything that we needed and more. The manager offered for us to be able to use the pond on his property which was next to his property and I would call that pond a small lake.
Everything about our experience at this cabin was amazing and we hope to plan to do it again in a couple years.
