The location is perfect...close to the beach and many businesses. The room was the perfect size for two people. It was also clean, cool, and comfortable. Lastly, the oceanview was amazing.

Parking is a little tight and no elevator.

The breakfast was bagels cereal oatmeal some fruit and coffee and orange juice a basic continental breakfast which is a nice test because most places do not offer a free breakfast in Cape May so it was a nice option and I liked having a sitting room and the bedroom both with a TV and they were good size everything was neatly kept up at this hotel even though it’s an older hotel all the people at the front desk area were very friendly. I loved having the screen door and the two chairs outside our room I usually stay at the marquee but I found this much easier staying on the first floor and not dealing with elevators ……there are no elevators in this hotel so the owner was kind enough during the week to confirm the first floor for us Which we really appreciate it

I did miss having a coffee maker and microwave but the price at the hotel was very good and they do have coffee in the lobby in the morning the pipes from the shower next to us make some noise but with the room fan on it’s not bad at all

Oceanfront, had what we needed, it was clean and the bed was plush. Can’t ask for much more.

The hotel was great for the area. It gives you that colonial feeling of Cape May. The property was right across the beach and it was walking distance from all the eateries and bars.

The keys were a little annoying cause it was tough to open and you’d feel like you’d break it at any time. Nothing a little WD-40 can’t fix though so I can’t knock them on that.

View was terrific - watched dolphins daily. Avondale's location afforded easy access to all activities

Rooms could use some updating and the breakfast could include protein an less carbs.

Location is great, although breakfast was continental it could have a few more Hot dishes such as pancakes or waffles. The hotel is old but is kept very clean. The only complaint about our room is that the bathroom is very small and only had a small window in the back of the room to open and get fresh air. The staff were very friendly and the housekeepers did a great job.

It is a wonderful location-across the street from the beach and the restaurants and shops were within walking distance.The facility is very clean and well kept.Each room was comfortable and had a small porch area where we could sit and read.The pool was adequate and the pool attendant was pleasant .The proprietors were very attentive and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating .

It is obviously an older style motel. The furnishings are sparse ,but comfortable .It had everything we needed,but definitely no frills.

This was a large double room which was very clean. The bed was fabulous, the rocking chairs on the balcony were wonderful, and the continental breakfast was quite satisfying and stocked well.
