The property was perfect. Clean and well equipped The location was close to everything but still seemed secluded. Walking distance to the beach And spa. It would be the perfect place for families

We came in from afar with elderly parents for a celebration of life. The stay was perfect. The amenities that we required were all there. We weren’t at the cottage a lot, but just enough to wind down and clean up. Thank you!

Parksville caters to young kids with parks, beaches and places to play. Parksville gets more fair weather than the Ucluelet so a nice base to stay and explore!

My family and I loved how cozy and comfortable our stay was. 15min walk to the beach or a 2 minute drive. The pool and hot tub were a big hit for my son. It’s nice and close to a lot of fun places to explore.

Overall it was a beautiful cozy comfortable cottage. Clean pool. BBQ was and is way too hot. Could not control the temperatures. You may want to consider replacing it. Grates are rusted. The kitchen is in need of more and different size serving bowls. Fry pans need to be replaced. They are warped and peeling. There was an empty twisted Tea can left in one of the bathroom drawers. Needs to be cleaned better. On departure, returning to mainland, it accrued to us that we had left you a gift in the refrigerator. Purchased locally, I may add. Enjoy. Have stayed at this property a few times and it never disappoints!

The cottage was the right size but the cleanliness was sub par. Upon entry it was immediately noted that no time or effort had been put into the cleaning. For reference: The kitchen stove was found not cleaned; there was food debris in cupboards/drawers; filthy blinds, with dirty dusty layers; burnt out lightbulbs; dirty light fixtures with cobwebs, dust and bugs in/on light fixtures in all rooms; the worst being urine around base of toilets and fecal matter sprayed under side of toilet seat in upstairs bathroom; None of the mirrors were clean. Worst being in bathrooms with sink spray matter still left on them; Exhaust vents in bathrooms covered in thick dust; Coffee maker wasn't washed out; The cooking pots still had food matter on/in them (unwashed); and utensils, dishes still greasy from previous use but left in cupboards. We can describe more but let's just say that we spent the first hour of our stay with four people cleaning was unacceptable. Especially because we know that we paid a large "cleaning" fee which we presume was also paid by the previous renter but we arrived to find it insufficiently cleaned. There was no excuse for it to be found in such an unclean state. We have photos to prove what we found!

It as a great place and had lots of room for us and had everything we needed! Great location for a home base as we travelled the island. Very quiet and private!

Loved our time. The place is cozy and very handy for a big or small family. Kids loved the pool and hut tub. Everything is within a short drive. One of our new favourite places to visit is ‘Goats on roof’

The owner was wonderful and communicative. The Kitchen was beautifully appointed for cooking. The primary bedroom with ensuite was amazing and allowed for privacy and rest. The proximity to walking trails and beaches was beautiful, and it was a short drive to Parksville, Qualicum, and Wood Grove, making this centrally located cabin a delight. The only request would be to update the rusty BBQ grill, which we could not use.

Level of clean was poor - had to rewash frying pan before use, cupboards/drawers weren’t wiped clean, personal debris and garbage around upstairs bed, bathroom and main room fans coated in dust. Lack of basics - cooking oil, salt & pepper, food wrap, facial tissues Microwave broken - host made aware, responded, no resolution during stay; impacted meals/reheating Amenities - hot tub luke warm, weak jets; could use clear instructions of walking path to the water Overall, enough room for 5 adults; needs a refresh and better attention to cleaning and making the unit more renter-friendly.

The cabin was way bigger than the pictures show. It was perfect! There was everything we needed. We will come back as soon as we can. The pool and restaurant was awesome. Go for tacos. I went to a scrapbooking class as well. So much fun. Go to the Back Goose and walk on the beach. This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Thank you.

I was in Parksville for the weekend attending a retreat, there were 5 of us and because we were driving in from the interior we wanted a space large enough to fit all of us. It was a quick 5 minute drive to our event, and very clean, bright and comfortable. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our visit at this cabin, it was a quiet location. Cabin is close to downtown Parksville, with a short drive. The beach is a short drive as well or 15-20 min walk to the beach. No streaming capability for a group to watch things together but there was reliable Wifi. This cabin has two large decks, which would be nice in summer. Fireplace was very cozy for a fall evening.

This lovely house had all the room needed for our family of five. The teens had the space upstairs with the bathroom to themselves. Mom and dad and younger daughter on the main floor. We were there for a wedding. We hosted my parents and my sisters family for lunch the first day and there was plenty of room and supplies and appliances to host a nice lunch. It has a full oven fridge dishwasher. In nicer weather I imagine spending time on either of those two roomy decks. The owner was very responsive to our communications. The check in process was very easy. He was very accommodating to any request that we may have had. And any of those would have been very minor. Our kids really enjoyed the pool and being indoors in late September was a bonus. We especially like the location for its proximity to the city of parksville,but not so close that we can’t enjoy the peace and quiet of the community along resort drive. We would definitely stay at this complex again and with this owner.

The home was everything it said it was. Close to everything we wanted to do , clean, relaxing, beautiful neighborhood. The host was easy to contact . We would absolutely stay here again!

This is our second time staying here and we’ve loved both experiences. It’s a great spot for families with plenty of room. Great location, close to the beach, playgrounds, downtown, mini golf, and grocery stores. Steve was really helpful in letting us check in early as we had a 5:15am ferry with small children, we really appreciated that! Would highly recommend staying here!

sloppy and untidy general impression without personal touch.

Our stay was nice, cozy beds, lots of space and private yards. The main fridge wasn’t working so it was a challenge keeping our food fresh in a tiny bar fridge. We were a little surprised to see mostly empty hand soap bottles in the bathrooms that didn’t pump properly and a used bar soap in the shower. The place could use some basic maintenance, as there was a broken fence latch, broken fridge, lamp switches missing etc.. The pool was unclean (bandages stuck to the bottom) and dirty shower room. We had a nice vacation overall but we’re a little disappointed with this unit when comparing it to others we’ve stayed at in the area. With a little maintenance and more attention to detail this cabin would be great!

Cabin was comfortable with good supplies and equipment. All amenities nearby. Lots of beautiful recreational spots in Parksville.

Wonderful home from home clean and a great exploring base with great walks and countryside beach nearby. We would certainly book again.

First time on VRBO, loved it - close to town but still in a quiet area, and a rare "in my budget" find! A couple notes re disabilities, may not be suitable for limited mobility. Nice open main floor but stairs to front door, plus one of our group has joint problems so the downstairs shower/tub, while lovely, was too high to step over/lift out. Fortunately they can navigate stairs - a bit steep but they could use the upstairs shower. And that is also great! Sizeable, built in seat, small ledge - perfect for them. Second, minor issue with easy fix, found the lighting quite dim in the evening. We all use electronic devices to read, but if you bring a book etc, I suggest a personal reading light for evening. With that out of the way, we loved it! Backs onto the main road, but so well soundproofed/landscaped it was only audible with the deck door open! Open, airy, bright in the days, beds wonderfully comfortable! I stayed upstairs and the other two stayed in rear back bedroom, all slept great. No AC but ample fans throughout, outside temps ran between 18 to 23 - I needed an extra fan upstairs but I run hot so not unexpected, & always have a small USB clamp fan. Very good selection of dishes & cookware, good stove, toaster, full size fridge, GREAT microwave!! Suggest baggies/Tupperware for leftover storage especially if cooking staining foods. Owner was quick to respond, polite, and accommodating of a last minute change. Would definitely stay again! Thanks!

Great place. It is just a bit noisy on the back deck as it backs onto the highway. Some updates would help (older fridge, sagging and uncomfortable living room chairs). But overall, I would stay again. Very helpful host.

Fantastic chalet that provides all the necessary equipment needed for a fun stay. The pool and hot tub were lovely and the mini golf made extra fun. The area was central to a lot of what we wanted to do. I highly recommend this facility and will definitely be looking to go back.

Cottage was perfect- clean, great location and complex. Owner is quick to respond to inquiries and very helpful. We will return!
