Property was immaculately clean! Short walking distance to historic downtown Salida and the river. We couldn't be happier with the property and especially our host Dan! Dan stayed in close contact with us throughout our stay and was beyond gracious! The place was very well stocked and truly felt like home-good quality bedding, nice furniture and tastefully decorated. The back deck had a nice Weber grill and was perfect for taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains early morning and late evening. Truly cannot say enough good things about this property - LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

We had a great stay here. Location is perfect and walkable to the whole town. This was my first time staying at a VRBO where the owner lives literally next door and I thought it would be awkward but it's not. Dan was available, friendly, and very helpful. We needed a blender and he loaned us his for the week. I have gotten used to traveling with extra toilet paper because hosts often only give 1-2 rolls for the week, which is not enough for my family of 4. This property provides plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, bath and beach towels (we used at the local aquatic center). Beds were comfortable. It's great having a yard for our dogs. The only thing not provided that may be helpful to bring are kitchen supplies like tupperware, aluminum foil, ziploc bags etc. if you plan to cook. We would definitely stay here again.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay. Location to river, shopping, and restaurants was great. It was a very hot weekend and the added window air conditioning unit in the dining room was certainly a plus. The beds and bedding are top notch. Dan has made his place a welcoming, well stocked, clean and comfortable home away from home. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay in the two bedroom condo. Short walks to downtown businesses to shop and visiting restaurants and coffee shops. We had different friends drop by and stay with us during our stay. We kept busy with road trips, skiing, winter hiking, and going to a hot springs. We had everything we needed in the condo.

We love Salida, but always go in the summer. We wanted to stay in town, near the park and trails. Dan’s place was perfect for that and allowed us to bring out dogs too. Comfortable spot, nice yard, convenient to walk to everything. We will hope to stay here again on our next trip

We have visited Salida many times in the past 15 yrs. This rowhouse is our favorite vacation rental by far. It's a half block from the river and about 3 blocks from downtown. We park the car and walk everywhere. The rowhouse is super clean and the perfect size for a couple or small family. The owner (Dan) lives right next door and is attentive to everything. We spend a lot of time on the back porch and eat out there each night. Can't wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was most accommodating. We loved the layout of the house and it had everything we needed, including all cooking utensils, seating areas inside (den, dining rm and bar top). We loved the quiet outdoor patio for sipping wine and having snacks. We will be staying again.

Had a great stay for a week at Dan’s property. Very comfortable and well stocked. I needed to work off and on and the WiFi was fast/excellent. Enjoyed walking a few blocks downtown to several excellent restaurants and great hiking less than an hour drive away. Dan was very responsive and went out of his way to see if there was anything I needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

We’ve been to Salida a few times before, but staying a block away from downtown and the river in Dan’s house was a really special experience. The property is very close to downtown Salida, on the river, which was very convenient and enjoyable. access to Monarch Mountain is within 20 minutes. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the beds are extremely comfortable. This place worked great for our young family of four! The house is so clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. Loved being able to walk my two littles two blocks to the playground, river and fun shops! We loved the cuteness and old vibes of Salida! The deck and fenced backyard was great for the kids to run around. Very quiet street and neighbors. Beds comfortable, showers hot! Would totally stay here again. Great location. Sparkling clean. Very comfortable with a kitchen that’s well stocked for cooking and a choice of a counter, table or deck for meals. Quiet with thick brick walls. A couple of blocks from the river and all the action but situated in a quite neighborhood. The owner, Dan, called to be sure all was good and comfortable. We will be back.

The perfect getaway
We stayed here for a long weekend vacation in Salida. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, a back porch with a grill, and everything we could have possibly needed. Great location that is a two minute walk to the river. Dan was very easy to get in contact with and was a fabulous host! We hope to stay here in the near future again. Wonderful!
