Kapalua Bay Villas never disappoint. This condo has the best view on the property. It’s close to great beaches and restaurants. Kapalua Walking Trail is right outside your door. I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Kapalua Bay Villas, the location cannot be beat. If you love beautiful views and being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean, you will love it here. The interior is older but still very nice, the kitchen has everything you need with extra supplies, bed is very comfortable and amazing views from bedroom and living room. You cannot beat the value for money. Communications were excellent and checkin process a breeze, we were also able to get a later check out time, which was amazing and so helpful! I highly recommend and look forward to future stays here.

The unit was a perfect size for the week stay. It was well stocked with kitchen items, linens, beach chairs, etc. Can't think of anything that we needed that wasn't in the unit. Owner was very easy to reach and communicate with before and throughout the stay. Highly recommend the unit.

I love Kapalua. Constant breezes, great beaches, almost no crowds as its on the north part of West Maui where developments basically stop. I have stayed at the Kapalua Bay Villas before and enjoyed my time there, but this location is perched just above Oneloa beach and couldn’t be nicer. Even when we weren’t on the beach we would just watch the turtles swim by. Saw over 15.
Easy parking, great gardens, three pools for the kiddos and…walk less than 2 mins to one of the best beaches on Maui. If the surf is up, you can walk 5 mins farther to the beach in front of the Montage. Never waves there and pretty good snorkeling.
The property owner was a great communicator. Value is hard to beat. We will be booking for next year as soon as the airline ticket reservations open up (11 months out)

This was our second year staying here, and again, it did not disappoint. Everything we needed was here including beach items. You cannot get a better location in Kapalua than at this unit. Check in was simple. We look forward to staying here again next year!!

The property owner is awesome. John provided us with a great place to stay, was very knowledge about local activities, and his communication was second to none. This location in the Bay Villas is tough to beat, you have a pool out the front door and the steps to the beach out the back + an amazing balcony! We will surely visit again!

The views from this unit are spectacular. To lay in bed and watch the sun rise and the waves roll in and out is just wonderful. The unit is actually so loud from the crashing waves you feel like you’re sitting on the beach! We were able to watch turtles swim back and forth at oneloa beach from the lanai. The unit itself is in need of some freshening up but is well stocked with all essentials. We had a fantastic stay!

Simply the best

This rental was exactly what you think of when you think Hawaii. I loved waking up every morning to the sunrise, leaving the windows open for fresh air, and basically having a semi-private beach. Rarely more than 10 people on the beach at any time it was just a wonderful escape. I traveled here to photography a wedding and celebrate 10 years with my husband, this condo made both reasons for visiting Maui perfect.

We have been visiting the Kapalua Bay Villas for more than 10 consecutive years in a variety of Oceanfront units. Without question, this was our favorite experience in a unit that exceeded every expectation. From the extremely comfortable bed, unparalleled view, fully stocked unit we could not have been more pleased. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much, that we rebooked for 2024. If you are looking to stay at the Kapalua Bay Villas, do yourself a favor and choose this unit. John (property manager) is great to work with and super responsive. ALOHA!

Unit was well appointed. Quick and easy check in. John was great at keeping us updated/communication. We have been to Kapalua 7 times, and this by far was the best view that we have ever had. We also appreciated the little extras in the unit, that we haven't had in other units.. the beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. Much appreciated.

This Villa is literally a stones throw away from The beach. Easy parking and unbelievably beautiful views. I will definitely stay here again without question. Excelllent communication with the host John.

Beautiful view!
We have rented many Kapalua condos over the years and this had the absolute best view! Also, perfect location to enjoy Oneloa beach. Steps down are right by this building and so is a nice boardwalk to take a walk. Enjoyed hearing the ocean from the living room and upstairs ocean front bedroom. We hope to come back someday!

Can't beat the view
While the property is a little older (no more that what the photos show), this was such a fantastic place. Truly one of the best views you can get, and just a great part of the island. In a gated community. Nothing between you and the beach (but some stairs). Whale watching was superb in Feb. Walking out on the point for the sunset was spectacular. Host was really great to work with.

Amazing relaxing quiet private oceanfront condo!
This is an “as billed” ocean front expansive view spacious condo. The location in upscale Kapalua is important with less traffic and better restaurants, with this property being part of the Montage Kapalua resort hotel. Their food, yoga/exercise and spa options are spectacular, also attending their luau on Tuesday night. The Ritz Carlton is just a mile away. The beach in front of the condo is Mostly void of people, as opposed to the Kapalua Bay and Napili Beaches filled with tourist. There is a trail right outside the front door and lots to explore. I did grilling one night and they have a great easy to use set up at the community pool (3 in total). Easy parking, and easy to get in and out of the gated community, pool area, and apartment all with codes from John.
This is a 45 year old development and condo is next to the ocean , so there some wear and tear and salt damaged items that would be nice to have them fixed and updated, but it did not deter from a fantastic relaxing nine day vacation.

Beautiful views from the unit. Good walks all around the area. Central to dining in Kapalua. Wonderful neighborhood for a stay, very comfortable unit to stay in.

Great location. Walking distance to so much- beaches, restaurants, exploring. Really fantastic. Could use a few small items like toiletries/bath soap/etc but aside from that - it’s a great launching pad to a Maui vacation

Great Location - Beautiful Views / Sleep to the Sound of the Ocean
Since the floor plan is split between 2 floors you get to enjoy the beauty and sounds of the ocean from the living area on the ground floor and from the 2nd floor bedroom. The condo is very well furnished and has all the beach accessories anyone would need - including chairs, towels, boogie boards, fins. The first morning we tried to grab breakfast at a local restaurant but the line was so long that we headed over to the Napili Market and bought a bunch of food (~$150) - and probably saved twice over that much by eating all breakfast and lunches in the condo, My wife didn't like the taste of the water so we bought a couple gallons of that as well. Our favorite activity was bodysurfing, we ended up driving to DT Fleming beach because it was less rocky than the beach out front and they also have lifeguards over there. When I went golfing on the Bay course, I texted my wife when I was on the 16th green and she was able to see me on 16/17 using the binoculars from the condo. John can set you up with a discount on the greens fees. We also enjoyed a snorkeling excursion, we went on one that was kind of large (60 or more people), so I'd recommend using a smaller outfit to prevent bumping into people and to prevent scaring the wildlife out of the area. We went in October and the tradewinds were going, but it kept things cool. In fact the temperature was just right, we didn't even turn on the AC one time while we were there!

Perfect Villa-Perfect Location-Perfect Host
You can't find a Kapalua Bay Villa any closer to the ocean as this one. Looking out from the floor to ceiling glass, you feel like you are on a ship in the ocean!
Everything needed is provided. This is my favorite place to stay on Maui and have stayed there several times.

Great location, owner easy to work with condo clean and well stocked. Kapalua is beautiful, windy at times , but that’s normal for this part of the Island.

Even better in person
As another reviewer said, the photos don’t do it justice. It is a stunningly beautiful setting. The beach is gorgeous and the setting is dramatic. Swimming, snorkeling, and great dining options are so close by. The space is inviting and very, very comfortable. Absolutely no issues at all. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful location and views
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is at an excellent location in Kapalua. The view out of our bedroom and living room was outstanding. We were right on the beach and could walk the Kapalua coastal trail to Kapalua Bay for amazing snorkeling.

We come to Kapalua every year and decided to go with a smaller place. This condo was perfect for the two of us. Perfectly situated near the beach and the trail leading to Napili. Parking was abundant. The views from the condo were perfect for sunrise/sunset and whale watching (very active, we saw a triple breach!) The condo was well stocked with everything from cooking utensils to towels and beach gear. NOTE*, if you are light sleeper then be aware that the sound of the ocean may keep you up at night. We had a few nights where the winds were blowing a gale and it made it hard to sleep. Although, we both loved the sound of it. Rain with doubles the intensity. The views from the bedroom were amazing!! However, if you sit inside the living area on the couch or chair you will find that your views are slightly obstructed from the hand rails and corner post. But it's not a deal breaker. It would have been nice to find a way to have the panel large pane windows of the unit rinsed/washed because with winds and sea spray the visibility out of them is reduced. The unit is a bit dated and in need of some repairs / updates. So if you are person who requires the place to look totally amazing then it may not be for you. We noticed it but didn't care. As for COVID. Aside from the hoops we had to go through to get to the island we found once we got here we felt safer there than we did at home in CA. Most eateries allowed dine in with limited capacity. Compliance with mask wearing was not an issue anywhere we went. We always had ours. We avoided all group events as well. We also avoided going to another island due to the requirement of health documents for inter-island travel. Not worth the hassle. We would totally stay at this place again if we can get our dates next year. Mahalo John!

Great Location but Condo Needs Maintenance
Kapalua Bay Villas is an exceptional community in a fabulous location. This particular unit is in a great location and has excellent views. However this condo unit Is in need of immediate repairs and upgrades. The front door fits poorly and takes a heavy shoulder to push open and close. Ongoing roof leaks at East Living Room drywall ceiling are evident as well as poorly repaired previous water damages at first floor bathroom window. Cockroach traps greeted us at the kitchen and master bathroom floors. There is a need for a window blind at the master bedroom north window so you have privacy from adjacent neighbor. Master bathroom door heavily drags on the ceramic floor. The laundry closet door was removed leaving exposed broken trim.
We weren’t expecting a gold star unit but the numerous deferred maintenance items as well as the active cock roach traps were extremely disappointing.
