A beautiful cabin on a beautiful piece of land. As described in the listing and absolutely peaceful. This is our second time staying here and we will be back.

Beautiful cabin. Had everything you need for cooking. Had comfy beds a spare air matress. Very cozy! Lots of lighting. The outside was beautiful. Did not want to leave. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin. God bless you.

My group had a fantastic stay at the Driftless Escape. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and updated with modern amenities while feeling rustic and cozy. Dan was a helpful host and a thorough communicator which made check in and check out a breeze. Bonus points because he’s a music lover. We truly can’t say enough good things about this space- hope to be back again someday soon!

Beautiful hillside views

We had a great weekend at the cabin this winter. It’s a great place for hiking and sledding, and we spent a great deal of time outside, even had a fire in the fire pit so the kids could roast hotdogs for lunch after building snow forts in the valley across the stream. The cabin had everything we needed and was just as beautiful as the pictures. Very clean and plenty of space. Dan was communicative and answered all my questions before we got there. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful extended weekend at the cabin. The property was beautiful! My children loved playing in the snow.

Second time we have stayed here, great isolated property in the driftless region. There was a big snow storm ahead of our stay and the owner had the drive plowed before our arrival which is appreciated.

Dan was a great host and answered any and all questions. Beautiful log home, with everything you need for a great stay. Everyone enjoyed hiking around the property, having a nice outdoor fire by the creek. Kids loved the movie theater (great room) and to see all the chickens. We will definitely be booking again. What a great place! All the amenities we could have asked for. The cabin was warm and cozy for our Thanksgiving get away. We were disappointed that we came when it was so cold, as we would have loved to sit on that fabulous wrap a round porch! It was so serene even though it was so close to town. Dan is a great communicator, and that is always so helpful. We loved having the great room. It would be an awesome place to bring kids. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Loved having a full bath and master on each floor. The Bonus was being able to bring the dog! Thanks Dan, for everything!

This house and property are beautiful! Plenty of space for playing indoor and outdoor games. The seclusion makes it an ideal escape but anything you might need is minutes away. This family of 5, plus 2 dogs, will be back!

Very clean and comfortable, feels like home. Our family enjoyed the time spent together, walking the dog around the huge property, visiting the local orchard, and biking on the Pine River Trail. We'll be back again!

Stayed a long weekend with my brother as we like to connect once/year at a spot somewhere between us in SW WI (I am in the Twin Cities, he is in Chicago). This is a fabulous house & property in the Driftless area which affords great privacy, all the conviences we have come to expect, and in a perfect location/setting. The house is situated well back from any neighbors with great views of the property. Inside the house is spacious, well maintained, comfortable, quiet and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed plus more. Plenty of hiking trails nearby and Richland Center had everything we needed be it shopping, restaurants, etc. If you are looking for a spot to get away to this is the place to pick. Before we left I asked my brother how many stars he would give it and without hesitation he said 5 stars & I fully agree. Thanks for letting us stay and we look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Enjoy a private relaxing stay with family including our dog. Loved the deck/porch for relaxing and watching the night sky. Would be fun to come back in the winter and enjoy your own private sledding hill just steps from the front door! Beautiful firplace would be nice to warm up by. Enjoyed that there was plenty of space for everyone and the greatroom was wonderful for everyone to enjoy a movie or a game.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Property is well kept and clean! Kitchen was stocked well enough for our use and plenty of comfy seating! It was a bit too hot to spend much time outdoors during our stay but we did see some deer passing through the field one morning. No complaints! Couple recommendations for future travelers, bring extra bath towels & wash clothes as well as extra paper towel & toilet paper, For anything else you may need, there is a Walmart just 10 minutes down the road and several excellent restaurants nearby.

We were looking for a short getaway before the kids went back to school- Our first priority was somewhere we could take our dogs with us and second- somewhere not to far of a drive for us- This place fit the bill perfectly. The cabin itself was charming with a perfect touch of modern and quaint. The property was perfect for my beagle to wander and sniff all things nature. We even saw three deer one morning. Not much to do around the area but we spent our time connecting as a family, playing games, reading and just hanging out. The host was responsive and provided clear instructions. We enjoyed the Driftless Escape!

My family really enjoyed our stay! We had a lot of fun and quality time together. The home and property are beautiful. Sitting on the large deck first thing in the morning looking out at the pretty view, watching the grandchildren run and play during the day, and looking up at the stars in the evening was just what we were looking for as our getaway this year.

Dan is an amazing host! He provided assistance with anything we needed over the holiday weekend and was very responsive. Cabin was very clean and up to date. Will be staying again!!!

My family and I had a great time at this property over a long weekend. The cabin also was extremely accommodating for my young nephew. Host was extremely responsive and very polite. Would highly recommend this property, and the host, to anyone!

Busy busy busy --Outdoors: exploring the lush green property with our dog, discovering native spring plants, watching a frog swim in the bubbling creek, identifying 10 species of birds, nerf football on the front lawn, a bright bonfire at night and evening fishing in the Pine River. Indoors: card games and reading, listening to music, preparing fun meals and desserts, conversation and relaxation! The weekend went way too quickly as usual. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place with others.

Very clean home, loved the hill across the house for sledding.

This was the perfect cabin for our family to get away for a few days to relax. The property was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was perfectly clean and ready to go at our arrival. Property manager was prompt to reply with any questions. 2 thumbs up!

Amazing cabin in a location picturesque. The cabin is at the end of a long gravel driveway with no view of neighbors. Several acres surrounding the cabin have nicely cut grass. Our dogs had a blast running around without fear of ticks or brier bush. Beyond the cut grass were acres upon acres of grassy field. The larger of our two dogs had no problem moving though it while I explored the valleys. The views there are simply breathtaking. Wildlife is abundant. We saw hawks and turkeys daily. On our last day, a group of five deer meandered through the fields a couple of times and came right by the cabin. Inside the cabin, you'll find it to be inviting, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well appointed with modern appliances. The king-size bed was very comfortable. The wrap-around deck offers a comfortable spot regardless of wind direction or sun location. The owner, Dan, was very quick to respond to questions. Instructions and check-in/check-out were easy and clear. With just a little research, I found dozens of things to see and do in the driftless area. I can't say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend anyone to stay here and I hope to be back eventually.

This cabin is top notch! It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the beautiful area of Wisconsin!

This was our second stay at this lovely spotlessly clean cabin with its beautiful meadow views. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed being able to sit on the deck which offers views in three directions and watch the stars and wildlife. This stay was timed well for the Perseids meteor shower and we were treated to several sightings each night. We made a journey over to Cedar Grove cheese factory and into town to The Meat Locker for absolutely wonderful steaks.

Had a quick, 2 night stay and really enjoyed it. The entire place was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and its location is handy for checking out the different towns in the area. The balcony was great for having coffee in the morning and the fire pit was a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day.

The cabin was everything we were looking for...a peaceful setting in the country, surrounded by hills and wildlife. The wrap around porch was a great place for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and the covered portion provided excellent seats for watching a rainstorm and listening to the thunder echoing in the hills. The lack of significant light pollution made for great viewing of stars and the July "buck" moon. We found the cabin to be accurate as pictured and described, with plenty of room. Check in and communication with owner was problem-free and responsive. When not at the cabin, we enjoyed the country roads around the area that provided many beautiful, scenic convertible rides. We liked ours stops at the nearby Pier County Park and Natural Bridge and short trail, as well as the swinging bridge in Richland Center. Everyone enjoyed our stay there, and I definitely would consider renting it again.
