Schönes Haus am Wasser im südlichen Stil in einer Bucht / Lagune in Jamaica Beach, Galveston, nur wenige Häuser von der Bucht entfernt mit einer hervorragenden Aussicht. Komplett renoviert im Jahr 2010. Großes, 3.394 m² großes Haus mit einer Master-Suite und drei weiteren Master-Schlafzimmern. Es gibt insgesamt 6 Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss. Ein Aufzug und ein behindertengerechtes Badezimmer sorgen dafür, dass sich alle wohlfühlen und willkommen sind. (Bitte teilen Sie uns im Voraus mit, ob Sie den Aufzug benötigen, da für die Nutzung ein Schlüssel erforderlich ist.) Auf der Hauptetage befinden sich eine große überdachte Veranda mit Schaukelstühlen, eine Schaukel und zusätzliche Sitzgelegenheiten auf dem nicht überdachten Teil. Die Master-Suite verfügt über Schiebetüren, die zur Veranda und zum Wasser hin öffnen. Die Schlafsituation ist wie folgt:

Genießen Sie Ihren Morgenkaffee auf der Veranda direkt vor einem der Schlafzimmer. Das Achterdeck des freigelegten Wohnbereichs ist nach Osten ausgerichtet, sodass es vor der späten Nachmittagssonne geschützt ist. Es gibt auch ein Badezimmer im Untergeschoss des Hauses und eine Außendusche. Ein dummer Kellner hilft Ihnen beim Entladen von der Garage in den Hauptbereich. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine / Trockner in voller Größe im Erdgeschoss und eine stapelbare Waschmaschine / Trockner im Erdgeschoss. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach oben und unten sowie eine separate Tiefkühltruhe unten für Köder oder andere Dinge.
Das große Doppelgrundstück verfügt über einen Garten mit Rasenfläche für zusätzliche Spielräume oder Spiele. Es gibt verschiedene Spiele im Schrank unten, eine Tischtennisplatte und eine Tischfußballplatte. Es gibt auch aufblasbares Spielzeug und Sandspielzeug für die kleinen Kinder.
Für das 10-Fuß-Kajak und das Paddle-Board stehen mehrere Schwimmwesten zur Verfügung. Es gibt auch einen aufblasbaren "Rave" -Wasserspringer, der wie ein schwimmendes Trampolin im Wasser ist.
Sie können Ihr Boot mitbringen und es in der großen überdachten Bootsrampe mit Aufzügen andocken. Lass es uns einfach im Voraus wissen.
Ein eingebauter Gasgrill befindet sich ganz in der Nähe des Bootsanlegers und der Fischreinigungsstation. Es gibt auch einen Holzkohlegrill und einen Außenbrenner mit einem großen Topf zum Kochen von Krabben. Es gibt eine Krabbenfalle, die bisher blaue Krabben und Steinkrabben gefangen hat.

My family and I had a great comfortable stay! Lots of water/beach toys, board games and even an Xbox. Would definitely rent again.

My wife booked this property last summer before she passed away so this was a special last gift from her for me, my daughter, son-in-law and teenage grandsons. The property is large and was very comfortable. Each of the 4 bedrooms had it's own ensuite, although we only used 3 of the bedrooms. We haven't cooked on an electric range in years, so there was a bit of a learning curve to remember how different it is from a gas range. The pool and hot tub is amazing. We spent a great deal of time sitting nearby listening to the water from the hot tub gently cascade into the pool during the day. Very relaxing. The hot tub was great especially since we had a cool spell the week we stayed. The cool spell also impacted the water in the lagoon area, but kayaking was fun. Fish were not biting well, but that didn't stop anyone from trying every day. It was amazing to see not just the teenagers, but all of us put down our electronics for a few days. At first we were concerned that there was no cable, but we never really missed it. The internet connection was great throughout the property as both my son-in-law and I were taking vacation but still had to take care of work for a while each morning. Our host was great at making sure everything was going well and responded quickly to any questions we had. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Gray Pearl. All of us would recommend it.

This is the 3rd time we rented out a place at Jamaica beach. We always rent a place with a pool and fishing for the kiddos. What sets this apart front the others is the extra space for the family to spread out and not feel to confined both inside and out. We had a few questions for the host while we were there and the response was within minutes of the text. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and plenty of towels for the pool and beach. We will be keeping this place on our list of properties to come back to.

We had 3 generations staying together to celebrate a birthday and it was perfect. The house is huge so it doesn't feel crowded. The pool and elevator were a lifesaver since we had one person with knee issues. We had so much fun that this is the first time we didn't even go to the beach in Galveston!
The house is very well stocked and has lots of water activities like kayaks, etc. I would highly recommend staying here.

My family decided to rent this beach house to get away together after a very hard year. Unfortunately, it only got worse after staying here. After several disappointments (hot tub not working after being told it would be, living room tv not working, having to put safety cones along new stairs that were built with no railing, etc) we were incredibly astonished at being charged for damage WE DID NOT INCUR!! A major storm came through one night with 60-70 mph wind gusts and damaged the door to the 2nd story and broke a table on the deck. We brought in all the furniture we could as storm was coming to help out the host and I contacted them the next day to inform them of the damage. I personally tried to figure out what was wrong with the tv in the main living room and had 2 technical adults look at it as well. We unplugged the main plug from the wall and plugged it back in with no success. There was a cord already taped with electrical tape to the tv so I assumed it was just broken. The day after we checked out I received a message from the host that she was taking our $500 deposit because we broke their tv and their door!!! I offered to pay something for the tv because I did unplug it - as harmless as that should have been. But not only did she want to charge us for a new tv BUT also a new tv stand!!?? I wish I was joking. But to top it off - she blamed us FOR THE DOOR! She filed $1227.86 worth of damage against me. If this can happen to us, it will happen to you. DO NOT RENT!!

We stayed for a family reunion over July 4th, and this place was perfect. Everyone wanted to cut the beach trips short to jump in the pool! So much room for our kids with plenty of privacy for the grownups. Wished we stayed for a month!

THE ELEVATOR WAS ESSENTIAL FOR ONE MEMBER OF OUR GROUP AND WORKED WELL THE HOUSE, POOL, INTERNET, TVS AND GAMES WERE ALL GREAT. WELL APPOINTED AND GOOD A/C EVEN IN EXTREME HEAT. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HOUSE ARE HELPFUL. IF AND AS QUESTIONS ARISE OWNERS ARE AVAILABLE AND RESPONSIVE BY TELEPHONE.

RAVE-PICTURED ON VRBO WAS NOT AVAILABLE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT INFLATED.
ICEMAKER MUST BE TURNED ON.
HOT TUB WAS NOT WORKING.
EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A $400 CLEANING FEE, RULES OF THE HOUSE REQUIRE REMOVING BEDDING AND TOWELS, AND TAKING BAGGED TRASH TO THE STREET

Amazing house on a wide canal with views of the bay! This house was exactly as described. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. We had a very relaxing trip and highly recommend this house, especially for very large families.

Family Vacay!!
The Host Casi went above and beyond. A care free week at the beach with the family. We went to the beach twice but had all the fun at the house. One of the best was using the kayaks to paddle over to the state park and watch the sunset.

Even better than expected.
Excellent property and wonderful communication with property owner. 12 in our family and we had plenty of room. We were on a lagoon and water “toys” were excellent. There was just so much to do on property.

Fabulous Family Time
The home, outdoor area & property owner are exceptional. This home was the perfect size for my husband, adult children, grandchildren & myself. There are plenty of beds & bathrooms for everyone. We enjoyed drinking morning coffee on the wrap around porches & eating dinner at the table outside. Our grandkids had a blast swimming in the bay & using the lily pad & water trampoline supplied at the house. It took us 10 minutes to drive to the beach & it’s about a 20 minute drive to Pleasure Pier. At night we hung out playing ping pong, air hockey & other games supplied at the house.
There are numerous bath & beach towels for everyone. The kitchen is supplied with much more than any other VRBO we’ve stayed in previously. There is plenty of parking space for multiple autos. The elevator was a huge plus for our disabled son, as well as the handicapped shower. Our family had such fun staying together at this property & made wonderful memories. After only two days of returning home, the grands asked how much longer until we go back!! The owners have thought of everything you will need & more! Casi answered all of my questions promptly & was a joy to communicate with.

Great family time
We had a great large family vacation. The house was the perfect size for us. The house was so quiet for those that wanted to sleep a little later. The only problem we had was that there were a few towels for us to us the first couple of days due to an issue with the larger washing machine. But Casi did a great job of communicating with me when the additional towels would be available. The kids had a great time catching the little fish at night and adults enjoyed fishing from the dock. The time went by fast and was too short.

House was perfect, had literally everything you would need. Was incredibly easy to contact owner with the couple questions we had, she literally answered in minutes. Room for everyone, everything was very clean , just a great experience. Thank you so much for having us, we will be back!!!!

Great place
This place was exactly what we needed. Wheelchair access was great. Elevator made it easy along with the accessible bathroom. Short drive to the beach. Lots of room and tons of great deck area. Owner was very responsive. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely vacation home
14 of us stayed a week in this lovely home. The description is exactly what it says and the fishing was such a fun time for the kids.
There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax.
The beach was very close and Galveston was just a short drive.
We hope to come back soon!

A great house for large family reunions
We had a great time until we had to evacuate early Sunday morning. The house is well equipped and the owners have really thought of everything From endless cooking equipment to games and toys. The fun doesn't stop there. The water activities are fabulous for adults and kids of all ages. Paddle boards, kayaks, a water trampoline, Lily Pads, life jackets and more. We spent evenings on the deck watching the sunsets, and mornings drinking coffee on the water. It was the perfect trip until we had to evacuate early morning on our departure date. This area is prone to flooding and high water. We had to drive out through 2 ft of water.

Fantastic trip
I usually don't write reviews, but we stayed at this property with 5 adults and 5 children. The activities were endless; fun for the fishermen and swimmers at the same time. It is a short drive to the beach, but there so much to do at the house, we spent little time there. There was ample space to spread out. The house was well equipped; I appreciated having the extras--small items you normally have at home but don't necessarily think to pack for a trip. Highly recommend for a fun family time.

Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property! There are a lot of things to do. First, it is on the bay side of Jamaica Beach. It shares a bay inlet with about 10 other houses - it's a very quaint and nice setting. Second - there are a ton of activities - lights for fishing, water trampoline, floating mats for laying out on the water, ping pong, foosball, games, etc. The house has a nice indoor family space - but also has multiple places with varying degrees of shade to hang outside. The owner was nice, communicative and easy to work with (thanks Casi!) We had a great time and would definitely recommend this house to others looking to get away to Galveston.

Awesome Family Getaway
What a great place to take the grandkids! So much room and plenty of bathrooms. The whole house is so well equipped and the extra water toys and games were a huge hit. I would definitely stay here again.

Best Vacation Home
Our family has stayed in beach homes for the last tens years in the area. This one by far has exceeded out expectations. The home was fabulous. We loved having everyone on the same level and the rooms with bathrooms. The whole are was well maintained. We loved the extras that were there too. Soaps, lotions, paper goods,the toys, the swings, the fishing. Our family did not have any negative points of this home. We would love to have this one again next summer for our annual family get away. My in laws came for two days and the elevator was a definite plus. This is a five star for sure!

Perfect for large groups!
We were celebrating my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. We had 6 adults and 4 children and it was perfect. There was room for several more! Kitchen was very well stocked, lots of extra linens for the extra twin mattresses, plenty of seating, and an abundance of outdoor water toys and activities. Literally just need to bring groceries. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend. Oh, and Casi is very quick to respond to any questions!

Great Vacation spot
We enjoyed staying here over the Christmas holiday. The house was well equipped and spacious. All of the amenities (grill, ping pong table, deck seating..) contributed to the fun and relaxing winter weekend enjoyed by our family and friends. I would recommend staying here!

Beautiful Property
The property was beautiful, well furnish and very clean. We had a party of 18 and we all were all very comfortable. The property owners were extremely nice, helpful, and detail. We enjoyed fishing, playing ping pong, foosball, kayaking, the giant water trampoline. This property is great for all ages. I would recommend this property to everybody.
