Relaxing

Cabin is very nice and relaxing. Great view of Webber Pond. Welcoming and homey. Clean, comfortable and everything needed. Wish we had more time but just had a weekend.

Quiet location with a great view of the lake. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The only issue was the bathroom being upstairs.

Very quiet, safe and comfortable. They have thought of everything, in abundance. Generous, clean, comfortable, welcoming I felt such a sense of luxury without the fuss, just everything you could need is there. Then that view every morning - a dramatic sunrise, and evening, all the pathways lighted in a romantic, dreamy way. Yes, you will love it here.

What a great way to spend Thanksgiving. Pete’s Retreat was everything we hoped it would be- comfortable, beautiful location, and a great host!

We loved our stay. Pete’s retreat was the perfect place to relax and unwind from the busyness of our schedules. We absolutely loved it!

The house was beautiful and located in a stunning setting. It was so quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed looking at all of the sports memorabilia and being surrounded by nature. We definitely would love to go back.

Really enjoyed the sports decor inside the house. It is a little tricky getting down to the dock ( my balance is not the best ). Great location that is very peaceful.

Amazing view of Webber Pond! We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for boating and fishing. Place was cozy but wish it wasn't so lived in by the owner as we felt like we didn't have anyplace to put clothes and toiletries. Not ideal for longer stays because of that. Also a washer and dryer would have been great for our week-long stay. ;) Pete was great at communicating before and during our stay.

We had an amazing time at Pete's place. New England sports fan paradise. We would definitely come back.

There was no disappointment when we first entered the cabin. My wife and I both looked at each other and said " This is a nice place ". From there: easy boat launch access to continue with Great fishing! Quiet and relaxing. Definitely visit again.

Pete was extremely attentive and accomodating. The cabin was very cleanly and exactly what we were looking for.

The place is just as great as it looks in the photos. Internet service is good, regular cable TV instead of Smart TV that I'm finding is more common lately - so we were able to keep up with Jeopardy while there :-). The pond is beautiful and soothing. Too late in the season for us to use the fire pit but that would be great in season. Pete was very responsive to all communications. Something interesting is that the kitchen cabinets and counters are slightly higher than normal, which can be a challenge for short people (like my wife). The place is a Patriots fan's heaven - the place is covered with framed mementos. My only complaint was that the cushions on the sofa and chair in the living area offer little cushioning at this point, so it's little better than sitting directly on the wood frame. But on the whole I'd recommend this place wholeheartedly.

House is full of sports and other memorabilia, as well as an amazingly stocked kitchen. Great getaway. Highly recommended.

I couldn’t have been happier. Place was clean and easy to check in to. I met the owner and had a nice visit with him. We even watched The Patriots beat Houston. The only suggestion I could make is to have real stairs from the deck to the fire pit area and to back fill the fire pit area to make it “level”. This place was great! Best view on the lake.

Easy

We just returned back from Pete’s retreat and what a difference it made during hardship of out nowadays life. If you look for the remote gateway - don’t look further - just peaceful tranquility of lake view right out of your window makes the best moment of your life saga. Thank you Pete and Maria - you made it feel like far away home we never knew about.

We had a lovely stay at Pete's. The view was one that can not be captured on camera - a photo does not do it any justice. We spent the weekend enjoying the fall air next to the water, took the canoe out to the island, and ended our day with a fire outside while the sun set. We were looking for a weekend to unplug and relax, and that is just what we got. We will be returning.

WE LOVED THIS SPOT! It was a tad difficult for us, 64 and 73, to maneuver down to the shore. Maybe some Rope Railings.

The cabin was a very interesting design and was perfect for a weekend getaway with my hubby after meeting probably the worst October 15th deadline ever! Although it rained for most of our stay, we did get to experience some sun on the last day and got some amazing pictures.

Very nice cabin with anything you need in it. The cabin is much bigger than it looks in the pictures and its very clean and comfortable. The lake is beautiful and the outside area has a great sitting area with a very high quality grill and fire pit! I would highly recommended this cabin

We have been staying here for quite a few summers in a row!

We live on the Maine coast, so it was nice to escape to the lake. Pete’s place was clean, comfortable and I loved having an early morning coffee on the deck looking over the lake. The canoe and kayak are a great bonus. Thanks again!
