This is no cookie cutter rental. There is beautiful handmade pottery and art around and the place feels like it has been lived in and loved. At the same time, amidst all this warmth is a professional level of clean, and the location is perfect for walking to the river and the community pool. We love cooking in the well-outfitted kitchen, playing boardgames at the large dining room table or living room coffee table, and relaxing in the amazing sheltered hot tub in the forest!

The place is a perfect base camp for a weekend of hiking. There was just 2 of us but would be comfy for 6 or more. Plenty of provisions in kitchen and bathrooms making this home extremely functional. A nightly soak in the hot tub was just what sore hiking muscles needed.

The house was very nice. Very clean on the inside and the perfect spot to get away for the weekend. Close to hiking trails and very close the river.

We loved the location. The main bedroom being a loft was not an issue for us. The kitchen, dining area and family room were perfect for our family of four to cook, lounge and watch tv together during a rainy spring break.
Thank you!

The cabin was really nice! All 7 of us fit comfortably. There was plenty of seating and beds. The kitchen was well equipped so cooking was easy. There were lots of games and movies for everyone to enjoy. We appreciated the kids books and reading chairs. Story time at the cabin was great!
There is a little wood fire stove in with a small supply of wood. The kids had a great time making some s’mores and hanging around the fire.
The spiral staircase was kind of tricky. It has some lights hanging to help us see it but I still almost hit my head a couple times anyway. Just be careful around it.
The property is one minute away from a cute trail that leads to the river. I did this hike with my 5month old and it was quite pleasant.

We all liked the house. It's very cozy and has everything you might need to cook big family dinners, board games, and movies to watch. The surrounding area is excellent, with many hikes and lakes. We highly recommend this house.

We stayed here before a year before. The couch was broken then (springs) making it uncomfortable with limited seating because of it. The next year it was in the same condition. I seriously thought it would be replaced. There is no way they aren’t aware of the condition of the couch. For the price the couch should be better that what they have. Also this year the hot tub didn’t work. They refunded me $106 for it. We were disappointed and will not be back.

The property is big and very comfortable for large family or a group of friends. The listing and pictures are accurate. It is located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. I really enjoy the pool at the end of the day after long hiking trips.

My girlfriends and I spent a weekend in this cabin home and it was great. Comfortable sleeping arrangements, we’ll stocked kitchen, lovely art and touches throughout the house. Lots of games, hot tub and close to skiing and restaurants. Set back off the road in a quiet and quaint neighborhood it was a lovely getaway. We will certainly be back.

Our family of 5 stayed for 4 nights. While we had enough room, we found a few things lacking.
First, as other reviewers have shared, there is a lack of privacy. The “master” is a loft over the living room and shares a bathroom with the kids’ bunk room. Also, the closets are locked and can’t be used.
Second, there is no overhead lighting in the living rooms/ bdrms at all, and the lamps that are available are very old and don’t put out a lot of light. The house is in a wooded area, so even on sunny days, there’s not much outside light coming in.
Third, the very large sofa looks super inviting, but is nearly impossible to sit on. The springs are sticking up into every cushion, creating lumps and uncomfortable poking in every seat. Definitely needs replacing.
Pros: The hot tub was nice, although we couldn’t find the floating chlorine holder anywhere. Plenty of dishes and nice counter space in the kitchen. Laundry area is nice a spacious (doubles as 2nd bathroom). Our 10 yr old gymnast daughter loved the spiral staircase, which she used as a climbing gym. NOTE: she fit very easily between the bars, which would’ve made me nervous if we had small children.
Overall, the house worked for our needs and was a in good location for exploring Mt Hood, Portland, and the White Salmon River. But it could be better with some updates.

We stayed there with family and really enjoyed the house. There were lots of games for different ages of kids, and a fabulous selection of books for all ages. Everything was clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

It was ok, probably wouldn't return
The house was clean, but definitely needs to be deep cleaned. Especially the cobwebs. Just felt dirty, even though it had been cleaned. There were a few issues with some dirty dishes and sheets on one bed, but that made us doubt everything else😬 but idk. I try to be very understanding when houses are so old. But it had the old feeling and smell, with cute ideas. Fresh paint, new furniture that didn't seem so gross to sit on 😟😬 and a deep clean, might think about bringing my family there. Thank God it was only a girls weekend. Much easier to brush some of these things off.

Family ski trip
My family had a wonderful time in this cabin/house. It looks like a house on the outside but like a cabin on the inside. The hot tub was great and much needed at the end of all day skiing. The stairs can be dangerous for hitting your head on so be careful of that. 3 adults hit their head on it. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely rent this again.

Great for families looking to ski at Mt. Hood
Home was comfortable with a great layout for family activities. Loved the games and books available. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. for cooking easy meals. We happened to be there during a VERY cold period and the house was chilly without the heaters running constantly. I imagine during our normal milder winter weather it is less chilly in the home. The hot tub was great! Overall a great choice for families. It is casual and lived-in enough that we didn't fear that our kids would ruin someone's fancy interior decorating. Teenagers with a nostalgia for older video games will love the PS2 in the back bedroom. Easy drive up to Mount Hood ski areas.

Beautiful home
Enjoyed the stay and so much space. Not lacking is peace and quiet. The neighborhood was pleasant with no through traffic. The kitchen was larger than expected as well as the division of rooms being a nice distance is wanting privacy. One tiny note no more coffee filters were available but we went to the store a few minutes away in Welches.

Celebrating Christmas in January
We loved being nestled in the trees right off 26.
The neighbors were great.!! We enjoyed the openness of the home and how well it stayed warm. It has such a warm welcoming feeling as soon as you walk in. The Hot Tub was clean. I did bring my own test strip’s and was pleasantly impressed to see chemicals were up to sanitary conditions. We’re looking forward to spending time there again this Summer.

The House was great!
It was a great house with enough supplies for anything that we needed. If we had any questions, they were very prompt with their response and to help us out. We highly recommend.

Every thing was great. House was beautiful and set up perfectly.
We loved the house, neighborhood, and location on the mountain. One problem was that the first night the lower bunk bed broke while our 14 year old was sleeping. He had to sleep on the couch for the rest of the stay. The lower rail broke and the slats fell off the rail. It happened while he was sleeping!

Summer Mountain cabin visit
We had a great time at this lovely home in a gorgeous location on Mt Hood. The house is well provided with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We’ve stayed in places where it’s difficult to cook because of a lack of tools, but here we had everything we needed and more. It’s just a short walk to the Sandy river and we also visited other nearby trails. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great house!
My friends and I loved this house! Plenty of space, lots of kitchen items, games, and movies, and the hot tub was great. Only the room with the bunk bed was truly private with a closing door.

Not All Amenities Work and the Heater is Confusing
We were disappointed that the fireplace in the living room was not working. The heater was difficult to use and there was no manual to guide us. We had no way to contact the owner so we froze the first night we arrived. The listing said there was cable. The DVD collection was fantastic but we could not watch Sunday football. We were disappointed and wish everything was as it was listed. We did not feel we received everything as promised.

A nice quiet getaway
It was my boyfriend's 30th birthday and since you can't really do much these days with COVID, we decided to escape to a "cabin" in the woods. I think it's important to share that this really isn't a cabin, rather it is a house in a quiet, family-friendly community. If you are looking for seclusion or true privacy, I'd tell you to keep looking. Overall we had a good time, but there were a few things we expected a lot more from considering the price we paid for two nights was $715. 60% of that was VRBO service fees
Pro's: House was cleaned well upon arrival and fully stocked with towels, blankets, toiletries. Hot tub was great, and the patio seating outside was nice .The backyard is heavily wooded so it was a nice and cool refuge in the 90 degree heat of July. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed as far as cookware/dishes/etc, and then some. It also isn't shown in the photos, but the front deck is updated to have seating. Plenty of places to sleep.
Cons: First and foremost - and we knew when we booked it - is the house is super close to the other neighbors, but didn't realize how close until we got there. The cabin rules tell you over and over that you will possibly have the cops called on you for noise complaints because it's a residential neighborhood. It was to the point that it felt like we couldn't even sit on the patio and talk because the neighbors were literally RIGHT next door, steps away, and we weren't even loud. The neighbors were outside on their patio constantly looking over into the patio area. There wasn't any privacy from the view of the neighbors.
- We weren't told until after we booked the cabin (it wasn't in the ad) that there are only two cars allowed. We had to coordinate carpooling and fitting 6 people into two cars, only to find out when we got there, there was more than enough room for an additional car. Rules are fine, but I wish they were disclosed beforehand. I asked Vacasa and VRBO 2x about this and nobody ever responded to me.
- The pipe from the upstairs bathroom was leaking on us from the ceiling whenever somebody showered (over the stove)
- While the Apple TV is nice, it's super old, and the surround sound system is difficult to navigate...even for people who know tech pretty well.
- No real privacy for any bedroom except one (expected with the loft) but the back bedroom doesn't have a door
I do think this is a nice place, but for all the fees you're charged I expected a lot more.

Extremely clean
Very pleasantly surprised with how spotlessly clean this rental was. House had everything we needed. Enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Even had toys for our little guy. Would recommend!

Spacious home in a relaxing neighborhood!
Home was clean and offered plenty of space for the five of us girls to feel comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and supplies we needed for preparing meals. Great neighborhood to walk around and the backyard was also a relaxing place to enjoy breakfast. Instructions for the stay and for clean-up were easy to find and follow. This was a decent home at a reasonable price for our girls' weekend away.

Great little get-a-way
A group of 5 mountain bikers showed up to shred some trails and enjoy the stay in Rhododendron and we were not disappointing. The trails in this area are top notch and a $2 shuttle up to Timberline lodge was amazing. I recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention after a good day of shredding the trails the older feeling rental made us all feel right at home and very relaxed to rejuvenate for the next day. This would be a great little place to visit if you are a snow sport enthusiast or just want to hang out in a nice quite spot for a few days.

Practically Perfect
We loved our weekend stay and just wish it could have been longer! The video games were a big hit with our teenager, and both kids loved the bunk beds. The house is beautiful, the dining table is PLENTY big enough for marathon board gaming, the backyard is peaceful, the hot tub is great, and everything was scrupulously clean. We made a short snowshoeing jaunt up to Timberline, it was an easy drive from the house.

Warm & Cozy
This cabin was the perfect place. It snowed at the mountain so we decided to stay in and this place had it all. Stocked with movies, games, and video games, we were never bored. Thank you for the stay!

Great house, friendly neighborhood
Living area was amenable to both group activities and privacy. Beautiful yard with shady trees, and hot tub! Lovely neighborhood to walk around in, everyone was very friendly. Close to Brightwood store and tavern, and Wildwood Recreation Area - plus tons of other cool places on the mountain.

Will rent another next time.
The positive: This rental gave us the opportunity to bring our whole family in to spend time with extended family that already lives in this same neighborhood. Cost per night works out to same as hotel when divided by number of people staying, but allowed us the large gathering room and kitchen. Stocked with games and a few toys for young ones. Stocked with basic necessities. Negatives: Fireplace burnt out within 30 minutes and never lit again. 2 indoor stair treads are broken. Stair railings, and loft railings, spaced large enough for small children to slip through and hang from. NOT safe for small children!! Cant think those are "up to code". Front deck has rot, and we did in fact, fall through it. Back bedroom mattress is so awful, the couple staying in that room opted for the floor instead. Carpenter ants in the upstairs bed. Dishes look like a mismatch collection from Goodwill. Outdoor furniture was filthy, so we wouldn't sit out back. Check in instructions told us to use guest lock box on railing, when after many failed attempts and phone calls, the new instructions and code were for the lock box inside the screen door. Vacasa web site states, "Pets welcome! Pet friendly!" Inside this home is a "no pets" notice, so that the dog we brought with us, had to go stay at the home of our other family in the neighborhood.
Pool was suppose to be open according to posted days and hours, but pool attendant was extremely rude to us, saying it was closed and we should have read neighborhood board notices, to know that. Greatly disappointed children already dressed to swim on a very hot day. We won't rent this particular home again, but will look for another from Vacasa. Vacasa was great on the phone, this home just needs work and clean up.

Great weekend getaway!
We used this home for a friendsgiving and it was perfect! Lots of space, a hot tub, and a stocked kitchen with open floor plan. We all had a fantastic time. Any issue we had were addressed extremely promptly and we were thrilled. Slept 7 comfortably. Only minor issue we had was a lack of light in the main room- but overall we would highly recommend to all who want a nice getaway!
