A wonderful property with beautiful period details and modern conveniences. Neighborhood was charming with many walkable restaurants. Close to capitol. WiFi functioned well for our group of 5. Would certainly stay there again.

A great spot to explore DC. Very nice to have a place to get out of the heat as well. The house itself is nicely done for a Civil War era house. We would definitely come back!

I live in the DC area and was looking for a house within the District to stay with my family when they came to visit. This house couldn't have been more perfect. The house is beautiful and super kid friendly. The neighborhood is so cute and walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants, and a longer walk or short drive to a ton of great sights for out of towners. I highly recommend this house and will probably try to stay there again!

I rented the house for a painting event/engagement party and it was lovely. The house has SO MUCH character. Everything was as it should be, easy to use and locate. I enjoyed the house and my overnight stay. Thank you so much

The row house was a welcome respite from the hustle bustle of the National Mall and other areas swamped with tourists (like us) who spent their April vacation pounding pavement and soaking in as many sights/memorials/museums as possible. The house itself is charming! Love the mix of old and new. 6 of us stayed the week, and the 3 full baths was a MAJOR plus. The house has everything you could need. You really can pack light (so helpful to have a washer/dryer!) which cut down on stress. We had fun sampling the restaurants on Barracks Row and Eastern Market area. The $49 Ambar experience is not to be missed! Highlight of the trip!!! We also really enjoyed Matchbox for pizza, the Boxcar for ambiance and great pub fare, and Hank’s Oyster Bar for delicious raw bar and craft cocktails (can you tell we enjoy eating?). Dia left a fabulous binder on the coffee table with all the info you could need during your stay. Oh, forgot to mention, House is less than a 5 min walk to metro- from there you can be at the National Mall in about 4 stops. There is also a Trader Joe’s across the street from the metro. We never drove anywhere during our week in DC. Everything was just so accessible from the house. I would love to go back in the future, we just had the best time! Thank you, Dia!

The reviews of this house were spot on! My husband, who is a history buff, fell in love with the historic charm of this lovely homestead. The new renovations made the stay so classy & clean. My 4 kids loved having space & creeping down the back set of “secret stairs.”
We weren’t home much but the convince of the house allowed us to walk into the city most days or jump on the metro. We would stop by Trader Joe’s on the way home and then cook dinner and settle in. We loved being able to eat most meals at home.
This place is fabulous!!!!! It was everything we needed and more. We will be back!!!

Everything was spotless, had everything for the kitchen and bathrooms, necessities . Everything was as promised. My mother ( 80 ) was able to manage the stairs which are the typical stairs in a row house but they have a handrail. Neighbors were friendly when we saw them on our way out one day.
Bedrooms have comfy beds and there is an extra air mattress downstairs. Nice to have three full renovated bathrooms . ( two upstairs one down.)
Easy booking and helpful info. We would definitely come again . :)

Great space! They provided us with everything we needed.
It was a great cozy space with 3 wonderful bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. There were TVs in every bedroom and a nice large TV in the family room. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to make dinner.

Lovely, comfortable, convenient and well prepared.
Two married couples spent 3 nights here, ate all breakfasts here, cooked a seafood dinner and enjoyed the space. Be aware the 3rd bathroom is not near the 3rd bedroom, which is no problem for families but could be awkward for 3 unrelated couples. Instructions for arrival, use of the home and departure were clear and easy to use. The home is full of character and perfectly up to date. Excellent wifi. Street noise minor. Well prepped kitchen with spice rack and dishes. One block from restaurants, shopping, circulator bus. The parking pass worked fine. Wish we had the weather for using the grill. I highly recommend Dia and her house.

Women's March Retreat
Perfect for us! We especially like the short walk to Pennsylvania Avenue and the Metro, Trader Joes, and other quaint shops in brownstones all within a one mile radius. We like to get food and eat in for some of the meals. Nice kitchen. We could have walked to the Capital if we would have had time. The neighborhood felt relatively safe to me. The home was comfortable with large rooms and a nice open feeling downstairs. The three good sized bedrooms with their TVs offered privacy if our family member's chose some time away from the group. The owner, Dia, was very informative and responsive to questions.
The price was also right for us. We would definitely return, just waiting for warmer weather.
Thank you , Dia

3rd Stay and Can't Wait Til Next Time
This was my third stay at the house and each time is perfect. The owner is highly-responsive if I ever have a question and honestly, the house is set up beautifully for stays. I couldn't ask for a better place and look forward to next time!

Great stay. We enjoyed the 1 block walk to Barracks Row, and Dia was great tonwork with.
The home was clean tidy and spacious. We really enjoyed the big dining room where we sat down to have our business meeting. Three full bathrooms was a plus considering they were four grown men. The close proximity to Barracks row gave us many choices, from an organic market, to dinner lunch and breakfast. The living room with its huge big screen and comfortable couch made a perfect venue for watching football games on Sunday. Thank you Dia for having a wonderful home for us.

Great house in a great location with great host!
Really fun house! Had a great weekend with my whole family of 8 and the location is terrific for restaurants, groceries, and all the rest that D.C. Has to offer. Dia was easy to work with and responsive to questions.

Perfect location; Owner is a gem!
We stayed here on vacation with 4 adults and 4 kids ages 6, 5, 4, and 3. The location was perfect, located in a safe and quiet neighborhood yet only a block from great restaurants/ grocery stores, and a convenient short metro ride from all the museums. The house was clean and thoughtfully well stocked with everything that families with kids might need (board games, high chair, kids utensils/plates/cups, great info in the binder re: things to do!). The owner, Dia, is the perfect balance of unobtrusive yet very responsive. She will arrange for a parking permit for your car in advance and will answer any of your questions via text very quickly. We realized at the last minute that we mistakenly booked our checkout day a day too early; she was able to extend our stay and also arranged an easy solution for our payment. The only potential considerations are that the house, like most housing in DC, is from the 1800s, so bedrooms are smaller, staircases are narrow, floors are uneven/creaky, so might be a consideration for people with physical disabilities or babies/toddlers, but it was renovated very nicely and very comfortable for us. Mosquitos are bad everywhere in DC in the summer so we couldn't really enjoy the patios, but there is lots of bug spray in the house (including what we left behind!). Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Dia!!!

Wonderfully located (I should know I lived on Capitol Hill for 10+ years).
Fantastic experience. Five stars. Will definitely stay here again when I return to DC
