Das 'Gingerbread House' ist ein einzigartiges Bilderbuch-Chalet oder "Tiny House" mit Dachboden. Absolut bezaubernd, voller Charme und Charakter, aber für manche Gäste möglicherweise nicht geeignet. Der Zugang zum Dachboden erfolgt über eine Leiter mit einer Gewichtsbeschränkung von 250 Pfund. Sharon was a wonderful host, and the Tiny House was lovely, cozy, and private, despite sharing property with host and another rental cottage. Instructions were very clear and informative, and Sharon was responsive and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again!

The “tiny cabin” was the perfect place for our visit to Yosemite! The cabin itself had everything we could have needed and was so charming! The location was convenient as well. Downtown Oakhurst has grocery stores, cute shops, breweries, and wineries. Not to mention we were ~ 25 minutes fr South Gate of Yosemite and about 10 minutes from Bass Lake. Both were amazing! We are thrilled with our 2 night stay and wish we had longer.

We had an amazing stay at the gingerbread house. It was the perfect, quiet, romantic place for us to unwind after adventure packed days in Yosemite! There is a ladder up to the loft which was fine for us (and a cute addition!) but I can see how this may be troublesome for others.

We would stay there again. The host was very accommodating and made sure the cabin was cool when we arrived. Especially since the temperature outside was very hot . The location was a short drive to Bass
Lake. We used the bbq for delicious steak dinners.
We totally enjoyed our 30th anniversary there. It was nice to be in such a cute & unique cabin!!

A Cozy Retreat!
Sharon and Mike have an awesome property just on the edge of town that gives the feeling of being in the wilderness, but the convenience of being close to shops and restaurants. It is just as cozy as the pictures show. It is also very secure and I felt incredibly safe as a solo traveler. Sharon left great instructions on check in and check out procedures as well as many suggestions on what to do in the area. I ended up visiting Bass Lake, Yosemite, and Sequoia and King's Canyon during my stay. The latter two are a bit of a haul from Oakhurst, but so worth it. If you are looking for a comfy place to stay while exploring the wilderness, this is the place for you!

Better than expected!
The Tiny cottage was "PERFECT!" It was beautiful and the hostess thought of "EVERYTHING!" to make it feel like home! My Wife and I spent our 30th anniversary there! We Loved it. The Hostess even helped me surprise my Wife with flowers in the cottage when we arrived.
I would not only recommend this to everyone, but I would stay there if possible the next time we head out that way. Perfect experience! Would highly recommend if visiting Yosemite National park. It is close to the south entrance to the Park and close to Bass lake.

Great find!
This cute A-frame was a great find. It was actually more spacious then the pictures made it seem, and the small hot water tank still allowed for my partner and I to each take 10 min showers. The only downside is not having an oven or stovetop, but we made do with the microwave and outdoor grill.
As a note for anyone looking to explore Yosemite, this cottage is a 30 minute winding drive from the park, however once you get into the park you have to drive another hour to get to the valley floor.

Gingerbread House
Such a cute little cabin! Perfect for our 2 night stay visiting Yosemite. Very clean and tidy. Had a grill outside which we used for making dinner one night. Went to lake bass the first day which we made a fun beach day out of (make sure you have $10 cash for visiting fee). Yosemite not that far at all....would highly recommended this VRBO if going there. Very intimate perfect spot for a couples retreat :)

Cutest Cottage
My husband and I came here for a quick getaway to Yosemite National Park and this place was absolutely perfect. It’s pretty small so I would recommend having more than 2 people stay here. But it’s super cute, off the beaten path and very private. The owners were friendly and responsive as well!

Perfect for our Yosemite Stay
My husband and I stayed at the charming gingerbread house during our trip to Yosemite last year. The cabin is exactly as advertised and an easy 60-90 minutes from Yosemite, depending where in the park you’re going. It was great to come back to this comfy and quiet spot after a long day of hiking.

Our First Tiny House Experience
Great little cabin situated close to Yosemite National Park. When we arrived we were greeted by Mike who pointed us in the direction of the cabin. Once we got inside there was multiple pamphlets with hiking information as well as a personalized pamphlet with great local information. We used this as our home base while exploring Yosemite. It’s about a half hour from the south entrance to the park which provides quick access to the Mariposa Grove and about 75 minutes or so to Yosemite Valley. Two grocery stores a few minutes away from the cabin and multiple gas stations to fill up after your trek into the park. If your looking for a change of pace from hotel rooms I highly recommend staying here, great place for a couple to stay to enjoy the National Park.

TINY HOUSE BIG ON COMFORT AND CHARM
Yes, the house was small but it was perfect for the two of us. It is very charming and was also very comfortable. We used the house as ground zero for our first trip to Yosemite Park. The house is approximately eighteen miles from the south entrance to the park which makes for easy access.
During our stay we would leave early morning for the park and return to the house in the evening to "recharge" for our next adventure. We used the grill and microwave to make some pretty impressive meals. The lack of a stove actually made clean up easier for this busy couple. The large coffee maker also helped a lot in the early morning.
The kitchen is stocked with all kinds of cooking utensils, dishes, and a small fridge that was more than sufficient for us. All linens and towels were also provided, the shower was adequate for us, and the bed in the loft was very comfortable, we both slept well.
Sharon and Mike also provide a lot of maps, literature, and brochures about Yosemite Park, local restaraunts, and other interesting activities in the area. We used them extensively while planning for our days out and about.
An interesting note, we did not realize that they currently have two rentals on the property, and a third one about to be completed. They are relatively small but very close to each other. They could provide a great destination for couples traveling together, our even for a family vacation that would enable you to share social time together outside on the patio, then allow you to retreat to your own private space.
We will definitely use the Tiny House again when we return to visit Yosemite in the future.

Cute, comfy little house located super close to Yosemite.
We really enjoyed our stay at Yosemite suite retreat. Everything went smoothly and Sharon was great to work with. The only reason for a 4 star review and not a 5 was the inability to relax in a nice warm bath after a long day of hiking because the water heater is small. If your not the type of person to enjoy a bath, I definitely recommend this tiny house.
