We loved this home. We had a very comfortable feeling throughout the stay.If the owner will have us back again, we would love to return next summer.

This was the perfect house for our family needs. The layout was great for two families with children (bedrooms are 2x2). Yes, the place is "lived in", but for a group with 4 kids under 11, it meant no stress for us as parents. The house itself is very family-friendly (has everything you need without being over the top). Most importantly, it has close proximity to the beach, restaurants, and activities without being stuck in the middle of large crowds. Nearest beach access (1/2 block away) has a lifeguard station (swimming area) and is a few blocks away from the packed beaches near the hotels. After many years renting much more expensive homes in other areas if LBI, we agreed that this met all our needs of value, necessary amenities, and location. Would definitely rent again.

Location of the house was very close to everything we wanted to do. You can tell that it is an old property but seems to be well taken care of. The house was very homely. It stated that there was no internet connections but there was internet connection so that is a plus. The house had little bit of everything we needed for little family get away

The house was the perfect location. Had tons of space. Pillows and cookingware in abundance. Backyard is awesome for gatherings. Tons of parking and quiet street. Bob is a great host.

Only pro is close to ocean. Carpet upstairs hall filthy with stains. Ants in small downstairs bathroom. Dryer takes forever. Air conditioning window units some were moldy. Musty smell.

This house is really close to the beach and only a short trip to Fantasy Island/Bay Village. We had a group of about 40 of us down the shore that week all staying in different houses. It was perfect for my family of 4, my brothers family of 4 and my mother with room to spare. It’s a little older but a perfect beach house!

We rented Robert‘s place for a month as a family weekend getaway from NYC, and had a wonderful time. Our kids adored the beach, the neighborhood was lovely to walk around in, and the house had all of the amenities we were looking for (large backyard, cooking supplies for a big group, washer/ dryer/ dishwasher, plenty of sleeping options). The only downside of our experience was with how lived the house was. The house feels like it could use a renovation, as some of the windows are difficult to see through, the washer and dryer are in the kitchen and really loud, and the kitchen is a little small (as representative examples). Overall I’d still say it was a very positive experience, and felt like we got our money’s worth.

I haven't stayed this close to the beach in a few years and it is just amazing! Sure, it's older (window AC units etc) but it's clean and has some updated furniture and spacious! (6 adults and 3 kids so we definitely didn't use it to full capacity) Owner is A+ communicaiton too. It needs and outdoor electrical outlet somewhere near the driveway/front of the house though. We drive and electric car and trickle charging it would be the icing on the top. Thank you for a reasonable price, on the beach block stay!

Location is great which is a priority for our three generation annual summer get-together. House could use some sprucing up but otherwise spacious and comfortable. We visit LBI every summer and try to get reasonably priced 4 bedroom houses. We really liked the backyard space where we ate most of our meals and socialized at night.

This house is in the perfect location! It’s very spacious however, the upstairs shower is extremely small. Would come back.

The house layout was perfect for my family and in walking distance to the beach and stores. We stayed the weekend of the chowder festival and had the opportunity to experience the happiness and warmth of the town and the owesome food.We really enjoyed our stay here!

Was easy and worked out well. We were in town for a wedding and the proximity was awesome. Great few days with great friends.

The best part about the house was the location, so close to the beach and short bike ride or walk to all the main attractions of Beach Haven. Plenty of off street and on street parking and amazing outdoor space & shower. The house set up was perfect for 2 families, 2 master bedrooms on main floor and 2 bedrooms for the kiddos upstairs worked great for us. The kitchen had a nice variety of pots and pans for cooking at home. The main complaint we had was about the sun porch addition. The a/c wasn’t working when we got there, but a handy couple figured out the problem and made it work. We gave appropriate feedback to the owner and he was responsive throughout our trip. The house was clean when we arrived, so unsure what the previous reviews referred to. Robert answered all my questions in advance and even reminded us to bring sheets and towels, which we always do anyway. It was very nice to have washer and dryer, even if odd to have in the kitchen, it gave some extra counter space! Overall, I’d give the place 3.5 stars for our trip. Much of which had to do with the addition portion of the house. The floor buckled a bit by the back door and it didn’t open all the way without putting some muscle into it. It is definitely an old house with a lot of family memories! There are a few inconsistencies in the listing, but nothing major and Robert clarified that YES there is Wi-Fi (one part of listing says there isn’t).

We all agreed that the house was a basic beach house and perfect for our busy family. It has; a short walk to the beach, large deck to hang out on, lots of room for sleeping the 10 of us, we found it clean, a kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, and 2 1/2 baths. We had 4 children under 10 years old with us. The boys took over the downstairs den and the girls were thrilled with their own girls room. We would rent this house again.

The location and size of home is great - but home is tired and needs updating. Gas grill did not work, shower did not drain properly on main floor, etc. We still had an awesome week.

Upon our arrival we quickly realized that there was not cleaning services provided between us and the last tenants. The beds were a mess with dirty sheets from the last tenants, floors were not swept, kitchen counters were sticky, dirty silverware was left in the sink, dirty clothes in the washer, and used razors in the outdoor shower. Also, it was very evident there was a bachelorette party that had taken place from the confetti on the floor. Coming in with 8 kids, the oldest being 11, we were very unhappy. Just trying to be nice and start off with a positive vacation we tidied up and didn't complain. We know how to clean so we did. I also was not going to leave a review until I received an email saying he kept some of my money due to an air condition unit being on the floor. When we got there the unit was in the floor in the spare room out of the way and we assumed it was there for a reason and left it alone. If a cleaning service had been provided between us and the prior tenants he would have known that. When I reached out to him explaining the situation he never responded to my email. Therefore, I decided to write this review so the same thing dosen't happen to someonelse. I would never stay there again.

The house is big enough for our family and having the extra half bath helped a lot. It is an older home. The downstairs floors are brand new and easy to sweep up sand. The kitchen, dining area and living room are connected which gave us lots of room. I love that the washer and dryer are right in the kitchen. The beds and upstairs carpets could use replacing and some updates to the bathrooms would go a long way towards making this a perfect place. The back family room opens onto a lovely deck and yard with trees and sun. We ate outside and barbecued every night. We loved the outdoor shower too. They could use at least one more air conditioner downstairs and updates to the family room. Overall for the price it was a great house and we would come back.

House has plenty of room. Two bedrooms upstairs sleep 8 comfortably. There is a queen bedroom and a double bedroom on the main floor. Two sitting areas: nice with kids. Dining area and a small but functional kitchen. It's an old beach house but for the price and location its perfect. The TV room could use a portable A/C unit but it didn't bother us too much. The rest of the house has A/C units, WiFi, washer dryer. The outdoor shower is a major major plus with sandy kids....Would definitely book again.

I strongly recommend a renter get a recent certificate attesting to the status of mold in this home prior to renting this place. The picture is highly inaccurate - the front windows are sealed shut with layers of paint over rotted wood. A strong musty smell pervades the home, which is inevitable because windows are sealed shut or are filled with noisy air conditioners. There is no way to 'air the place out' no matter what you did. The full bath serving the two bedrooms downstairs does not have a fan and has a window that opens into the TV room, which has sealed windows and no air conditioner so moisture is trapped in the home. I have never seen a bathroom with a window opening into another room like this - it seems that this cannot be up to code. I can share pictures of rotten wood, stained carpet, and sealed windows but I cannot share the smell - which is why I recommend getting absolute confirmation that there is not a dangerous mold issue with this house.

As always, a great time at 126 Norwood. Cannot wait till next year!

Location was perfect. It was a quick 1 min walk to beach and not far from activities and market, walkable. The house was roomy but old and could use some improvements and a bit dirty. Could use an air condition in the T.V. room. Outdoor shower was nice.

This property was in a fantastic location. The house was exactly as advertised and had a super outdoor space for BBQing. We loved the outdoor shower and decks! The inside was well maintained and provided plenty of space for all of us!!! We would definitely go back next summer!!!

Hello, My family has been coming down to Long Beach Island for quite a while and we always look foward to coming to this beautiful cape cod that is close to the beach and very convenient to stores and places such as the arcades and the amusement park. I hope that a lot of people come to L.B.I and rent this house because my family had fun and I know that other families would too.
