Everything we needed was right there. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked with spices etc. There were bath towels and pool towels. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer!

This beautiful cottage really is a home away from home! We are very picky when it comes to staying somewhere other than our own home and Starfish Cottage was perfect! Julie was very easy to communicate with, check in was super simple, and the cottage had all of the amenities you could ask for and then some!

Have stayed at this cottage twice and would stay again. Close to beaches and shopping.

We had the most wonderful time staying at Starfish Cottage. Wonderfully located, close to a lot of beautiful beaches (Parksville Community Beach & Rathtrevor beach), and local restaurants (The Black Goos Inn!). The kids loved the warm water indoor pool and spent hours in there playing the first couple of days we arrived when the weather was a bit to cool for the beach and ocean swimming. Our kids loved it! Evening swim after dinner to drain their batteries! Our host Julie was friendly and easy to communicate with. It was a pleasure dealing with her. Starfish Cottage was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The cottage provided a home-away-from-home with a well stocked kitchen of dishes, cups, and the basic cooking pots/pans, and utensils, allowing me to prepare a simple dinner on our first night and simple breakfast of bacon and eggs in the mornings since we're all slow when first waking up and like to lounge around before hitting the beach around 1130am. I loved the coffee maker provided that allowed me to preset a timer for the next day were I wake up to freshly brewed coffee waiting for me. And THANK YOU for providing coffee too! (insert heart emoji here). Check-out was very easy and Julie didn't have a long list of chores for us! Expectations at check-out was basic common sense and very acceptable. Respectful to both host and guests. Most definitely my family will be returning to Starfish Cottage in the years to come.

Spent 4 days in the cottage, and it was great. We were worried about the hot temperatures, but even without AC the fans in the rooms/bedrooms and the shade kept the cottage from getting too warm. Great location to walk to the ocean. Would stay again.

Our group of 5 recently stayed at Starfish Cottage. We found the cottage to be exceptionally clean throughout and we had no issues during our stay. The cottage is perfectly located within the development as it is very close to the indoor pool and is only a 3 minute walk to the mini golf. We would not hesitate to book here again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is exactly as promised in the pictures, and very comfortable. The beds were each very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, including lots of glasses, which is much appreciated when traveling with kids. The location is convenient for Rathstrevor and Parksville- a nice walk to the beach, but a bit long for younger kids. However, there is plenty of parking at Rathstrevor, so you can also reach it in a few minutes by car.

The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. We loved being across from the pool. Nearby amenities and many recreational spots are a plus. We would love to stay here again.

Great unit, access, location, and property manager. It’s an above average property for those looking to stay awhile, and I’ll definitely be looking this up next time around.

The cottage was great. Very clean with a well appointed kitchen! Very close to the pool which is a great facility. Owners were very quick to respond to our requests! We had a great time with our family for the week. Thanks again!

Everything was immaculately clean. There were also amenities in the kitchen that we were not expecting and Julie even left us a bottle of wine. It is not beachside but there’s a lovely walk through Rathtrevor campsite to the beach. Would stay again for sure.

Our stay at the Starfish Cottage was very comfortable and enjoyable! The cottage is as nice as the description on the Vrbo website. It is clean and cozy and feels like home! We were 4 adults - 3 siblings and our elderly parent. Aside from a few steps up to get into the cottage, everything was accessible with a walker and the main floor master bedroom and adjoining bathroom made it easy for dad to move around. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring the area! So much to see and do! We thouroughly enjoyed our stay!

This home had everything we needed to enjoy a summer vacation with my grandkids at the beach. I can recommend it without reservation.

Both the cabin and the complex are great for families. Cabin is close to pool and mini golf and has everything you need for a nice vacation.

Love this cabin at Ocean Village! Marvellous location, very clean, close to Rathtrevor beach( the BEST BEACH on Vancouver Island after Long Beach). You are walking distance to a pool, mini golf and a small café ( only open 4 hours lol). The cabin is in mint shape. Super clean. Great having a BBQ! Walking distance to the amazing pub, Black Goose! 3-4 min drive to Parksville town centre. Julie was very easy to communicate with. Top notch!

This was an awesome stay and everything was clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed resort with lots of fun things to do! It’s very centralized and well worth it!

We’ve stayed at this resort before so we knew what to expect. Lovely cottage, well stocked kitchen, and wonderful to have a deck to exercise and ensuite laundry with 2 bathrooms. Great to have a 3rd bed in the loft, just wished that it was a queen or king. The most comfortable bed was on the ground floor.

Very nice holiday property, exactly as advertised. Main bedroom could use a mirror. An extra set of towels for those of us who don’t want to use the washing machine would be helpful for stays that are longer than three days.

This property was exactly as listed and presented., having all the amenities needed to make cooking at home a breeze. Check in & Check out were simple, with the owner being accessible if needed. The home was a comfortable size for 4 adults and 2 children. even supplying board games and DvD's for the kids. The location itself is really wonderful, allowing us to have many lovely walks through Rathtrever Park and scouring the beach at low tide for sea shells. The heated pool and hot tub were a plus and were just steps from the house. All in all we had a fantastic vacation, would definitely recommend this rental to family and friends for future visits.

Great property. Judy is attentive host. Everything from check in to check out went smoothly. Ideally located right next to Rathtrevor Park, the beach, biking trails, and downtown Parksville. Highly recommended.

Julie is so welcoming and helpful. Star Cottage is clean, fully equipped, and spacious for a family of seven. The back deck is a nice addition for outdoor meals and BBQ. The location is conveniently close to Rathtrevor and Parksville Beaches, parks and other day-trip tourist destinations (e.g., Coombs, Qualicum Beach, Little Qualicum and Englishman Falls, Long Beach, etc.).
