Very cozy and comfortable camp. Huge lawn for games or relaxing. Nice view of lake over the lawn area. The beach is the best part! It's a little bit of a walk (2-3 minutes) to the beach over the lawn, but it's worth it! Sandy, secluded, relaxing! It was perfect for my 8 year old grandson and also for my active 81 year old mother. Neighbors are there, but not invasive of your enjoyment. It's our second year going back to the camp - looking forward to visiting again!

This property was near enough to Tonys family for day visits. The cabin was comfortable and the little town of Northville was friendly and lovely. We may be back again.

Gorgeous beach, nice and sandy and gradual walk in to the water. Kitchen was very small, hard for two people to try to do dinner or breakfast at once, but that was not an issue if you cook dinner on the grill, although the temperature gauge on the grill does not work, so hopefully if you are cooking some good steaks, you know how to do it precisely. Hopefully they will also get some extra garbage cans; was told they picked up recycling every Wednesday and it is every other, so we had our friends take one bag and we left one in the cabin. After all of these comments, I have to say, I loved the place. The deck, the view and the beach are to die for

The cabin was clean, cozy and just perfect. We hiked and enjoyed the spectacular beach. Neighbors were very friendly. The house sits above the beach by about 100 yards. Our dogs couldn't get enough of the water. It is one of the best places on Sacandaga.

The area is lovely and the cottage is cute and clean. we were able to get our boat in and out and keep it clean. We would definately return!

Clean, comfortable cabin with all we needed to relax! Great deck with barbeque grill and family size table. Big lawn for games! It is a bit of a walk to the lake over the lawn, but you can still see and enjoy the lake from the cabin. The walk to the lake is worth it - wonderful sandy beach with a picnic table. Once you are there, it is like having your own personal oasis. I spent days with my toes in the sand and a book in my hands! It was great swimming for my 6 year old grandson - gradual slope, soft sand. Highly recommend!

This rental was the best place to spend our end of summer vacation. Breathtaking views of the private lake along with plenty of space for our pups to run around made this ideal for us. Kitchen was fully stocked for all our cooking needs. Breakfast on the deck and wine by the fire completed the great stay. Loretta was responsive to our needs and ensured our stay was perfect. Can't wait to go back next year!!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of heaven on earth.

Property was clean and cozy. The sandy beach was great and our pup couldn't get enough of it. The amenities were sufficient for our stay. We never figured out how to use the TV. Some instruction on that might be helpful.

We had a great time at this little camp. Its not extravagant but it has what need for a nice relaxing vaca with family and friends. We would definitely rent again.

The cabin is as described - it is a nice lakefront cabin, great view of the lake and it was impeccably clean. Comfortable furniture and bed. Great TV in the living room. Nice deck. Weber grill worked great. All the kitchen utensils, pots, pans and dishes you need. Owner was very responsive with any inquires.

Stayed here for a week in July. The camp is just as it appears in the photos...really nice camp with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 2 small children plus a large dog. The view is beautiful, large yard leading down to the 50 ft beach! Nice sandy beach with shade trees at the beginning for little ones. The depth change in the water is very gradual...good for kids! Located very close to the village of Northville so convenient to shops and restaurants! Great vacation spot!

With so many five star reviews we were expecting a great property. The location, lawn and beach are great. The deck looked run down and in need of stain. Unfortunately the worn out look carried on inside. First off the sink wasn't clean and the drying rack had dishes and cups from the previous renter. The online pictures made the place look much larger. There was a strong musty smell inside. The seating areas were fine, but the tables etc. were of sixties vintage and in poor condition. The "master" bedroom was so small the bed had to be pushed up against the wall and was without a dresser. Exiting the bed on the wall side entailed shimmying down the bed and hopping off then crawling back up the bed. OK if you are in your twenties, not OK if you are in your mid sixties. The bathroom was the smallest we've ever seen with exposed plumbing pipes and a mirror light consisting of a single bare bulb. The other two bedrooms were small again with sixties vintage furniture. There was exposed electrical wiring throughout. The structure is an old school Sacandaga camp. (A nicely finished shed.) The previous places we rented in this price range were immaculate We are still stunned by all the five star ratings. We wouldn't revisit nor recommend this property. We actually left a day early.

This was our second trip to this lake. It is by far our families favorite we have visited so far. The lawn on this cottage is very long and the beach is sandy like one you would be on at the ocean. The cottage was perfect for our family. The VRBO host was great about contacting us prior to vacation about getting into the rental. Any questions we had were very promptly responded to throughout the week. When we arrive the cottage and the beach were very clean. I loved this place and would recommend it to anyone wanting to take their family on a vacation in the adirondack region.

We had a beautiful 2 weeks on the lake in this cabin. For a small cabin it lives large, with the extra pull out sofa and love seat. My husband loved the cable TV. My Grand kids loved the bunk beds and the extra floor space in their room for play. Air conditioning was well appreciated since it was a very hot summer. The beach was great for our kayaks and the kids loved the large sandy beach and shallow water on the lake. We brought a canopy but didn't need it with the trees that give great shade while on the beach. Kitchen was a little small but we managed. (I like to cook so need a little more room for prep and storage of pantry items than most. We brought some small snack tables to set up in the kitchen to solve that problem.) I was glad to see a large new refrigerator. The fire pit on the beach was very special on this labor day weekend! I liked that the shopping was so close by and the pizza in town at Jay's was great I enjoyed the farmers market on Tuesdays and Fridays where i bought the freshest corn, veggies and local meat products . It was a great vacation.

Came up here with wife, two young boys and kayaks and had a blast! Enjoyed every minute of it. Everything you need for a relaxing week. Great place ,great fun. -Greg

We loved the cabin and our dogs wouldn't leave the beach. The cabin is well kept and the beach is perfect. I rented a kayak and spent time paddling around the area. Highly recommended. The cabin presents itself much nicer than the pictures show. We spent most of the time on the beach or the large deck. Very peaceful and close to Walmart and other stores.

Clean and comfortable, absolutely beautiful beach.

I wanted a quiet week on the water, where I could bring my dogs and my grandchildren could visit. This cabin was perfect! The front lawn is like walking up a beautiful golf course fairway to get to the beach and the beach itself offers both sun and shade and is perfect for children and adults alike. The deck was a great place to relax and one of the tables has a large umbrella for the sunny part of the day. The living room has comfortable furniture and during the week I was there, we needed both heat and air conditioning and both worked well. The kitchen is small but we had everything we needed and the hosts left a great welcome basket. The location of the cabin is perfect because you have the sense of being away from everything, yet you are actually close to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. I would consider renting this cabin again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay on the Great Sacandaga Lake.
