Perfectly located, clean and well maintained property. Very good communication with the property manager.

Nice spot on the north end by Paia, wether you’re looking to relax or catch some waves this spot has it all.

The area this unit is in is absolutely beautiful. First time in Paia and we love the area. Be aware the unit is on the third floor and there is no air conditioning. For the most part this was ok. Could use some updating (kitchen), but was nice. We would stay here again.

Perfect home base for kitesurfing the summer trade winds. Hope to be back next year!

Great location. Walk to Mana’s beach, very short drive to Ho’okipa beach, near-by store, Paia is close for shopping and restaurants and onsite parking for one car. Airport is only an approximate15 minute drive away. Hana highway is a busy street with a fair amount of traffic that you can hear from the bedroom but you can also hear the sound of the ocean from the 3rd floor balcony (and get a peek of the ocean too). Shower was nice, bed comfy, kitchen ok, tv, wifi, all good with an on-site laundry and outside shower for rinsing off the sand. Living room seating on futon and side chairs was not the most comfortable nor were kitchen chairs. A comfy place to stay especially if you are busy exploring Maui; not a luxury condo but not a luxury price either. Our hosts were responsive and clear with instructions. I would stay there again.

Clean, great location. No AC was a bummer, but we were able to keep the place cool with open windows and fans at night.

Overall is was a great place to stay. Great views out the back and front. Being so close to 3 turtle beaches was lots of fun. Paia fish market and the Flatbread pizza place were both favorites. We both really enjoyed the laidback vibe of this part of Maui.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time at Lahaina, and the drive wasn’t ideal, but we loved the condo! It was just great!

We enjoyed staying in this condo for one week. The small beach was within 2 min walking distance and kind of a secret place, although the famous Mama`s fish house restaurant was located there.The appartment was well equipped, the bathroom and kitchen as well. We used to take the bus (bus stop just 100 m from the there) to go around. There is also a small store (but very expensive). But it was easy to go to Paia, which is a very nice town.

Was easy to find. Everything was as advertised. Close to a small beach. Hosts were gracious when we had requests. Thank you. We will come again.

I have come to Maui for over 10 years and have stayed in different areas of the island. This was a delightful place to stay and the location was ideal. The place had everything that I needed and more. Very comfortable, clean, and I really Enjoyed walking down to the beach every day to have my coffee. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay (9 nights). The place was exactly as advertised. There is no air conditioning but, we figured out quickly how to keep things cool. Very central to going up to Hana and to Haleakala. Yes, it is on the Hana highway but, as an extremely sound sensitive person, I found that traffic essentially shut down around 10:00 p.m.until about 7:00 a.m. so I wasn’t terribly affected by noise. If you are looking for 3+ star accommodations with a pool where you are happy to vacation in place, this is not the accommodation for you. If you like ‘homey’ and use your accommodation as a base for exploring Maui, then definitely worth the very reasonable price. Paula, I thank you for reaching out to us and helping us as much as you did. And, I appreciate your sensitivity and sympathy to my family tragedy near the end of our trip. We would definitely stay with you again. A few things to note, if you get an electric vehicle, there is no charging at the building…..our oops! And, if you are long-term recyclers, there is no option at this location. However, there are many areas around the island to drop off….just Google it! The deli up the road is fantastic and reasonably priced and, as Mama’s Fish House is next door, you just may luck out in getting a last minute table….otherwise there is about a 6 month waiting list and, Mama’s is not to be missed if you enjoy seafood (note it is a pricey restaurant). And, the evening ‘beaching’ of the turtles a Ho’okipa beach (within 1 mile) is not to be missed. Dawne Conrad

I had a really great stay here. Was a good location with a short $2 bus ride or uber to Paia and a 5 minute walk to the Kuau store. The beach near the apartment is beautiful and I saw turtles there nearly every time I went. I ended up booking my travel really last minute and Paula was great at getting back to me with all the details and anything I needed.

The Apartment was clean and everything worked great. Only a couple of constructive criticism: 1. It was really hot and the fans where not enough to keep us cool during the night. 2. The pillows were not comfortable at all

Everything was very smooth! The property manager checked in a couple of times to see if things were going well. Only downsides were the kitchen could use a little more cooking implements and the carpet had a couple of stains. Nothing too serious though and the beach access was amazing!

The condo was central to all of our daytime adventures. Lovely peak-a-boo ocean view, clean and nice amenities.

Our entire stay on Maui was at Kuau. The property was easy to find and in a great location to access all parts of the island. The property itself is clean, comfortable and quiet, and check in was easy. If we needed anything, Paula and Cliff were easily reachable. Highly recommended!

It was so confortable to be closer to Paia and Ho'okipa beach where we find everything that needed.

No AC made this trip almost unbearable and a miserable experience. No couch to sit on either. Location is right on the highway so to have windows open at night is very loud. One nice very small beach down at Mama’s Fish House but nothing else within walking distance. Place is clean and very outdated with minimal furnishings, no umbrella for the beach and need of a rental vehicle is a must.

great location close to hana

The property is in a great location- easy walk to the beach and if you're lucky you can see the sea turtles! We could hear the ocean from our balcony and overall the property is quiet. One of the BIG bonus of this property is the laundrymat. I'm not kidding. For $1.25 you get to wash a load and $1.00 for drying and it's for a full 45 mins (wash) and 60 mins (drying) not the typical 15 mins that the traditional laundrymat charges you for a wash load which still comes out not being completely clean. Would highly recommend this property- we would come back for sure!

We had a lovely time staying at this property! The owners (Paula) checked in via text to ensure no issues and the place was as advertised and tidy on arrival There was an overnight power outage in our area after a major storm hit the island early in our stay and Paula checked in and provided us updates on the power companies progress If you’re looking for a nice spot closer to the Hana Highway side of the island then you won’t be disappointed staying here

There’s a beach super close by about a 3 minute walk. The beach is absolutely stunning, I walked over many mornings to see the ocean, went a couple of times at night and there were sea turtles. The area is very close to other very beautiful beaches, and walking distance to Paia.The start of the road to Hana is also very close by, so you can drive about 20 mins and start seeing many of the famous sites like the twin water falls etc, it’s really an ideal location if you want to explore Maui.Back to the apartment; it’s very comfortable, during December that side of the island was very breezy so the apartment stayed cool(I’m not sure what the weather is like any other time), the kitchen is super functional and the bathroom was newly remodeled and it’s absolutely stunning. I will be staying here again during my next visit!

It was a great little condo near Paia and close by a few beach spots. There's no AC so it got hot at times but overall it an alright spot for the price. The kitchen will get taken over with bugs if you leave out any food even if it's closed. That was a bit of a surprise but Paula does write about this int he instruction book in the condo. We just kept everything in the fridge. Paula was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall it's a great place if you're on a budget.

We had a great time! The condo was clean, well prepared for our arrival and most enjoyable to use. A less crowded part of Maui. Sitting on the lanai watching the palms sway was a perfect end to a day of exploring Maui and beaching. Nearby Paia is a small thriving community leaning more to surfers than beachers .
