First off, it was very easy dealing with the owner. She provided us clear instructions beforehand and then via text while we were there. Very responsive with good information.
Second, the house was ideal for what we needed. There were 4 of us (Mom & Dad and 2 kids, ages 14 and 12). The house was spotless when we got there and had everything we needed.
Third, location was so great. Private boardwalk to the beach, easy to get in and out of when we drove anywhere, again, everything we hoped for and were promised.
Fourth, all the beach stuff we needed was there. The cart was a life saver since it was so much easier than carrying the chairs and canopy (which were also provided).
I'm not sure there's anything we'd change. We would definitely go back here!

Very nice, well equipped house. Short walk to beach. Kitchen fully equipped, including spices, cleaning supplies, toys and games for children, nice Weber grill, covered parking, great location in IOP, plenty of backyard space for kids to play.

Our plan was to stay at a property that had direct access to the beach from from the back door. This property had exactly what we were looking for. Quiet street with very little traffic. Easy access to the property via a car with plenty of parking. The house is well furnished. We were there to have a family Thanksgiving. There was everything that we needed to cook a 16 pound turkey for a family of six. Kitchen area is a little small for 4 adults contributing to the the dinner fixings but it added to part of the fun being in there at the same time. We wanted to eat out on the screened patio area but the cooler weather dampened the idea. We did do a couple of evenings using the BBQ which is a very nice BBQ I might add. The beds were very comfortable for sleeping so we got plenty of rest. The walks to the beach for morning sunrises was excellent and we seen some awesome and not so awesome sunrise due to the weather.
We will be reserving this house again when we visit our daughter and son in law in the future.

This was a great place for our family to enjoy the beach and time together. A beautiful place, easy walk to the beach and great communication with the owner. We were welcomed with a spectacular sunrise in the morning. The back porch was a relaxing hang out area. The location was convenient to stores and restaurants. It was the prettiest landscape view heading out to the dunes on the street.

This property fit our every need. It is without a doubt the owners love their property and are proud of it. It was appointed beautifully. There was nothing they didn’t make available for our use. And the cleanest I have seen of a vacation property. The owner Mary reached out several times to see if we needed anything or needed local information. We all would use this property again!!

We've stayed at over a dozen VRBO's over the past few years. This house was by far the most well-appointed. Large supply of linens and towels, kitchen utensils. Very clean. Great location. We'd definitely go back.

This home is situated with a private walkway directly to the beach. Mary has it decorated perfectly. Not the over the top beach decor we have experienced in the past. Many outdoor seating options, from the screened porch to the backyard. The beds were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. She was a great communicator and made sure our stay was flawless. We would love the opportunity to stay here again should we visit the Charleston area again.

4 adults. A 7 year old and a 1 year old. The house was a absolutely perfect! Private walk to the beach. The hostess had everything in the house you would need for a great beach vacation. Lots of towels and kitchen supplies....beach suplies. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The screened in porch was where we spent most of our time but there were tons of seating options! Overall it was perfect! Zero complaints and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! 10 out of 10!!

This was our favorite beach rental in a long while. The direct beach access was wonderful and the view from the porch was great. We loved that the screened porch was large enough to all comfortably fit and read, snack, and/or play card games. The beds were so comfortable. I feel like this is not an area a lot of owners give great attention to, but the linens (included which were a huge plus) and beds made it so we could all sleep well and enjoy the week. The location was excellent with a short drive to Sullivan's Island and into Charleston. We also walked to the beach shops and places to eat in nearby IOP. The house was well stocked and Mary was very, very responsive to texts with questions or minor issues. We appreciated her hospitality and would definitely rent here again to enjoy the wide, beautiful IOP beaches.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here with my parents and our kids. The location is old coastal charm, with a naturalized area along the private boardwalk where you hear crickets, frogs and birds. You can enjoy the natural area and ocean views plus the sound of the waves from the screened-in porch where we spent most evenings and mornings.
The beach location is near the lifeguard-protected area next to the pier, but the beach in front of the property never felt too crowded. The house is also very convenient (a couple of minutes) to the local grocery and Simmons Seafood shop which made meals easy.
We enjoyed going into Mt Pleasant for kayaking (15-20 min), and into Charleston one day for great restaurants (25 min).
The house was perfectly appointed with, it seemed, all amenities carefully through through -- beach cart, cabana, chairs and boogie boards, etc. for outdoors -- plenty of spices, two kinds of coffee makers, etc. for the kitchen.
The bedrooms were comfortable, the house was nicely decorated and easy living for 6. And Mary was a great host and communicator.
We hope to stay here again in the future.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The house is full of amenities to make your stay easy and enjoyable. IOP beach is beautiful. The town has many grocery and restaurant options. Charleston and its surrounding attractions are short drive away. Mary was easily accessible and promptly responded to our questions.

Everything about this experience from first contact with host to last contact with host was awesome! This beautiful house is located right on the beach with all your beach items ready for you. The house was clean and well equipped (including super comfortable beds) but you’ll never want to leave the porch! The house is nicely located within walking distance to many places. There is a reason this house has all 5 star reviews. Thank you Mary for making us feel so welcome in your house. We will definitely be back!

The host provided us with the most amazing reading material to help plan our trip and understand the area. Her primary concern was to make sure we were there to relax and enjoy IOP! The house was clean and the pictures do a great job, but don’t show the true beauty. Everything was so perfect.

We spent 5 nights on the Isle of Palms in Mary’s wonderful vacation home. The house was equipped with everything we needed for the week. The beds were comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water and pressure. The comfy couch on the screened porch became my husband’s favorite spot for an afternoon nap. We had a couple questions during our stay and Mary returned our texts quickly. The property was very convenient to grocery store, shops and restaurants. The yard and walkway to the beach are beautiful also. We had an amazing week and hope to go again when we can.

We appreciated the pack and play and other beach toys there for out toddler to play with. It was a really nice location. Private access to the beach and a short drive to stores made it really convenient. Mary was great at communicating with me throughout my stay.

Such a wonderful property! We celebrated my MIL birthday here. Beautiful beach. The property is close to anything you will need. Uber accessible to Charleston restaurants. I could reach out to the owner anytime for questions.

Great beach house, great location, fantastic owner
All the great reviews on this beach-house are true. The house is in a great location, very close to the commercial area of IOP, but far enough that the beach wasn't too crowded. We've rented other beach-houses in the past, and this one was the best stoked I've ever seen. Not only did they have beach stuff (boogie boards, chairs, wagon), but also had items for children including a high chair. We were there two weeks and they even had plenty of food storage to save leftovers.
Mary the owner responds very quickly to questions etc. Even though we all tested for Covid prior to coming together, we all ended up getting it during the second week! Fortunately we had all been vaccinated so symptoms weren't severe. I let Mary know just in case it changed the cleaning regime. She had a care package delivered with ginger-ale, cookies/crackers etc... That was very sweet and really appreciated as we isolated.
Even with Covid we had a great time and definitely will book this house again!

Awesome location
Had a great week on Isle of Palms! We loved the location- right on the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants. We did a Barrier Island Ecotour and explored Charleston. Even with some unsettled weather, we had a great time just in the house. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We would definitely rent again!

Very nice property with a private boardwalk directly to the beach. Enjoyed the screened in porch for meals and gathering. If traveling with other couples, be aware that one king BR, one Queen, one with twin beds. Well appointed kitchen. Also many accommodations for kids.

Thoughtful Host!
We arrived a day late to this wonderful home, and were able to check-in with no problems. The home is very welcoming and comfortable, including the master king bed. The kitchen was set-up nicely and had everything we needed to prepare shrimp and other seafood. It was wonderful to have a grocery store so close, and my daughter and I rode bikes to pick-up fresh seafood from the market around the corner. Mary was very gracious to check-in on us and make sure we had everything we needed. She even allowed a late check-out since we had one less day at the beach. I would highly recommend this property for a small family, or even a group of adult friends... oh and the screened porch was magnificent, giving us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our morning coffee. A+
