I enjoyed having this camp for a week. My family lives in Limerick Maine. I live in California so I had a place for them to come hangout with me.
The lake is nice people are respectful.
I would say what others have previously mentioned that maybe Mr. Carroll might hire a professional cleaning company to help out.
I slept on the Queen bed and it was comfortable.
I am grateful to have stayed at this camp.

We were very happy overall with the quiet and beautiful surroundings for our much needed vacation. The lake is beautiful, with many coves to explore by canoe. And the house, with private level beach, is situated in a place where boats must use headway speed only. After I cleared some grass from the water, there was a sandy entry.. very zen experience overall!

I have stayed at this property many times from a two week stay to renting for a month. It was so nice seeing Ron Carroll again. Our stay, as usual was a wonderful experience. We were disappointed the battery for the small boat was not working. Also, I would suggest a step stool if planning on sleeping in the queen bed. Thankfully we had a folding step stool with us because I was not able to get into the bed without it. I am 5'3". The toaster only toasts on one side of the bread. Would suggest a new toaster.

Ron is great but he should consider hiring a cleaning company. The upstairs was livable but the downstairs where the kitchen and main bathroom are was a complete nightmare. We didn’t make one meal at the house after spending more than $300 for groceries. Every appliance except the microwave was either covered in old dried up food, crumbs or in the case of the coffee pot still filled with thick water. The cabinets have larva and sacks of some sort coming out between cracks. It looks like black mold on the walls and wires coming out of the wall. Upstairs is neat and vacuumed but that is asked to be done by the renter before they leave. The beds are clean but nothing has been swept in awhile. My daughter and her baby slept in the front bedroom. When we pushed the bed over to make room for a pack & play there was a pill under it among a lot of dust. The whole place smells incredibly musty. There’s candles and cans of air freshener everywhere. The tub down stairs had hairs on the bottom and someone else’s used bar soaps. We were automatically offered to “check out” when we called Ron about our concerns on the second day but we decided to stay. This was before the larva. But, as the week went on we saw more and more things and it was too late to do anything about it. The only time we spent there was to sleep. Neighbors to the left were doing donuts on jet skis dangerously close to where we swam. If VRBO needs proof of any of this, pictures were taken. Someone needs to investigate.

Simply, by far one of the best overall lake experiences we’ve had. Fishing, kayaking, and exploring.
Extremely safe and courteous neighbors and boaters

The beach and the lake were excellent!!!! Sandy entry with gradual incline great for young kids. The owner Ron and his daughter were extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The property has everything you need. We really enjoyed the paddle boat. Having kayaks for guests to use would definitely be a plus. The house is definitely rustic. The master bedroom was perfect! The bed was super comfortable and the air conditioner definitely was used. I have a few suggestions an air conditioner in the living room and getting a new sleeper sofa. The mattress is not comfortable at all. We actually doubled it with the mattress from the downstairs sofa. Made it a little better. I would bring an air mattress next time. The twin beds are older and we were afraid to use them thinking they might break otherwise we would have slept in them. Please hire a professional cleaning crew to come in. Ron is a lovely man I just think it is too large of a property for him to clean by himself. We will definitely rent again. Thanks for sharing your vacation home with us!

This property was lovely. The beach was great, the water beautiful and very relaxing!! It was very quiet during the week, and obviously much busier on Friday-Sunday. The little ice cream/ food place was just awesome!!! And we did go to Cornish to Kristys for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing!
Ron, the host, is just wonderful and extremely attentive!
Just so relaxing

Working with Ron was wonderful. Communication was great and he was such a joy to meet in person. We had a great time. Even our young adult boys enjoyed it and gave the wi-if two thumbs up!! I had no idea how beautiful this lake was. I was picturing more of a pond. I was so excited to see boats, and people water skiing, tubing, paddle boarding etc. The lake is busy Saturday but then by Sunday afternoon it is just peaceful the rest of the week. The neighbor, Coach, was so kind and helped our boys have a great fishing experience. I loved that the owner, Ron, called the day after we checked in to see if we needed anything. Honestly I cannot imagine what you could need. In addition to great wi-fi there were plenty of games and puzzles and movies. Kitchen was well stocked… even had a cutting board, a pan to make brownies and a rolling pin!! We loved eating breakfast on the top deck. Our bed was super comfortable. The view was great. The beach was fantastic. The canoe, row boat and paddle boat made things extra fun and gave us a chance to explore the lake… it’s bigger than it looks. Local food was great. Local grocery store had everything! We highly recommend renting this place!!!!

I stayed at this property for two weeks and to be honest, the best property I've stayed at since I'm been renting lake houses in Maine for the past 6 years. Ronald and his family were very nice and accommodating and let me know if I needed anything. The place itself was great. Everything was included and very convenient. Nice shady yard with a nice sandy beach that leads right to the lake. Very nice! Air Conditioning in the upstairs bedroom, nice and cool downstairs. Couple of canoes and small aluminum boat available. Fishing was great, even from the dock. Thank you and I hope to stay here again next year!!

We loved the setting of this house and especially getting to utilize the boats that came with it for a great day of fishing.

The only thing that would have made this stay better is if Ron could have stayed with us. Legend.

Ronald was very informative. Communication was great between us and Ronald and his daughter. The camp was very nice. Everything you need is right there. Well stocked with kitchen essentials and with sheets, towels and linens. The little motorboat and canoe was a plus. Well definitely rent again. Thank you for a wonderful week!

The owner Ron is a wonderful nice man. We had a great time enjoying his lake front property. The sandy beach area is great to swim in, the docks are perfect to fish from, and the lake isn’t overly crowded or busy! I will definitely rent this house again and would recommend anyone else to as well.

The property was exactly as expected. The camp is clean and cozy, but be prepared for rustic. The small boat with electric propeller was a nice bonus. The kitchen is giant and well stocked which we took full advantage of. However, there are a lot of great places to eat out within a short drive. We did a lot of boating, tubing, fishing (bass), blueberry picking, frisbee golf, and hiking. A great week for our family.

The owner is a very nice man. The family is very well known in this area. The house has a good beach and sandy walk into the water. There is a lawn before the beach which is nice for lawn games. The lake house itself needs a thorough professional cleaning. The twin beds need to be replaced badly. Its one thing if the beds were uncomfortable but take off the sheets and yuck! They are so old, have holes in them and are rotting. The furniture smells like pee and it too uncomfortable to even sit on if you dare due to the smell. There is no real silverware to eat with. There is soo much dust and dirt everywhere. Used bar soap left in the bathrooms. There is too much clutter of furniture and what not that really should be taken out. On hot days, the entire house reeks of pet urine so bad that we couldn't stay inside. The grounds outside really need to be cleaned up. There are piles of junk and dead leaves and pine needles. The 2 docks are in bad shape. One is sinking into the water so the only way to get on it is to get in the water. They do provide a small fishing boat but the electric motor only lasts about an hour. We had to spend our first day cleaning to even feel comfortable staying. I highly suggest to the owners to invest a small amount of money in new twin beds, furniture, a cleaning service and carpet cleaning. If they did this, they could get more in rental income.

We loved the place. Ron, his daughter Monica, and her husband couldn't be any nicer. We are definitely going to be return guests!!!

Lots of nice things about this house, and lots of less nice ones. The most serious issue: sadly, this house clearly has a septic tank problem. We stayed in late June 2020. The kitchen downstairs and various parts of the lawn down to the lake in front of the kitchen intermittently stank of sewage throughout our stay. We had a Saturday-to-Saturday stay during which it unluckily rained Sunday PM to Wednesday AM, and I started noticing the smell in the kitchen on and off sometime on Monday and my husband on Wednesday. We convinced ourselves that it wouldn't affect incoming tap water or the lake water -- but eventually we noticed that if you pick up a handful of sand from the bottom of the lake relatively close to the water's edge, the sand has a sewage smell as well. That's been quite tough to get past.
Otherwise -- well, a mixed bag. The owner was very nice on the phone and was able to be flexible about arrival time, which was fantastic for us. The house was surprisingly less clean than I expected -- in addition to just mediocre cleanliness inside, there was some trash around the property, trash in the kitchen bin, a dirty bucket in the sink, dirty rags in the washing machine -- almost as if someone was interrupted while cleaning and never came back to finish the job. The owner said that he or his daughter would stop by Sunday morning to orient us, but no one ever came! We drove out to a hill to check voicemail on Tuesday, and even left a message. Still nothing. Curious, no?
The lake is quite nice, the sandy beach (apart from the sewage problem) great for kids. Things not clear from the listing: There are a lot of neighbors (a bit of a fishbowl feeling). A lot of boats on the lake (the house is at a bottleneck point connecting two parts of the lake). In short, it's not actually a great place for long leisurely swims. The place is not in great shape -- paint chips all over the yard, docks are in poor shape and unpleasant to use, canoe seating is broken, lots of blown-out light bulbs, several of the beds are truly terrible. We met a very nice neighbor (Limerick Bass Club, described in another review -- my kids really enjoyed that). Was great to be able to take the canoe to get fish lunch and ice cream at the Sokokis Seafood Shack. In short, this place has been poorly maintained but has great potential. Alas none of any of that matters -- the sewage stench problem is overwhelming and makes it impossible for me to recommend!

This will be our 5th year renting the cottage. This is the best place we have ever rented. We have rented many places over the years in all parts of Maine. The owners are fantastic and their family is always there to help if you need anything. It is perfect for families. The beach area is perfect for people of all ages. I can't say enough about this place.

My husband, myself and 2 grandchildren stayed for 2 weeks. It was the most relaxing vacation I have had in years. The boys loved fishing and going out in the canoe. Looking forward to going back this year. It is kept nice and clean and just like the pictures. Everything is supplied and well maintained. My neice fell in love with the place and also is renting for a week this year. We also went blueberry picking at Libby's and had fresh blueberry doughnuts, what a fun time.

Great fishing. My 8-year old daughter caught a fish off the dock. This is an amazing price given that it's on the waterfront and includes a beach, canoe, and motor boat. My kids, age 8 and 4, had a great time playing on the beach and swimming on the lake. A local said there was a beaver dam up river, so we had the adventure of our lives portaging the canoe over land to find the beaver dam. It started to rain, the kids cried, parents had the time of their lives. There's a great seafood restaurant called Bay Haven in Cornish where we ate fresh lobster. The kids could pick their own lobster from the tank. We also located the wooden bridge mentioned in the advertisment by asking about 8 different people who definitely could tell we were from "away." We enjoyed interacting with the locals and finally making it to our destination. One rainy day we went to Storyland in New Hampshire.
