Perfectly located on the bike path that the kids loved! Very short walk to the beach which was also very convenient. Clean home with plenty of space on the patio and underneath the deck to hang out. Definitely would stay here again.

Really enjoyed the home and most of all the private pool.

We had a outstanding week. The house was perfect for my family . The grandkids loved the pool. The beach was just a block away. A short walk or golf cart ride. We will definitely be back in the future.

They hook you with the pool. While the pool was an absolute blast for the kids, it needed some much needed cleaning before our arrival and even during our stay. Yes, I'm aware that normal debris will accumulated in the pool during the week however not having access to a pool skimmer to clean the surface and remove said debris during the stay isn't ideal. All brushes and skimmers for the pool are locked up leaving the renter to come up with a way to skim the debris and bugs from the water every day. The pool was supposedly cleaned on Sunday (we arrived on Saturday) however the skimmer baskets weren't emptied at all and the property owners only gave a mere explanation that the pool would be cleaned again on Saturday--the day of departure. Kicking back to check-in: the cleaning crew arrived 20 minutes prior to our 3/pm check-in time. Granted, we were 20 minutes early but they cleaned up until 4/pm leaving 3 adults and 3 kids stranded under the house in the heat to await their completion of the cleaning. Kick it forward to the night of check-in and I noticed that ALL of our feet were black from walking around on the floors and I'm not talking about the cement. I'm talking about the floors in the house. Mind you--the cleaning crew was just out earlier to clean the house. I'm not sure if mopping or cleaning the floors were included. I had to wash the kids' feet each night AGAIN before bed even AFTER they supposedly came out a second time to "clean the floors". I highly recommend the home owners block out time for the floors to undergo a DEEP CLEAN and suggest the cleaning company use something other than a Swiffer Sweeper Mop. I should have took a review I read to heart. It was about the floors and no bath mats. The listing specifically states that the home is equipped with bath mats. They are not. Luckily I packed bath mats just on the in case the review was correct. Also, if you like to hear a toilet run or don't want the toilet to flush, I highly suggest you stay in the master bedroom with the king bed or the downstairs room. And if you love the smell of sewer, walk into the kitchen or stay in the master. One more thing--the room with the bunk-beds and twin bed: First, the mattress pads, blankets, and comforters were NOT cleaned. And then there's the matter of the twin mattress standing up between the twin bed and the bunkbeds--YUCK.

The pool was dirty when we got there. They cleaned the pool. All of 5 min. Still dirty after they left. The downstairs bedroom only had 1 ac vent, the shower needs replaced, the mattress needs to be replaced, if you layed on the you rolled to the middle of the bed. The back sliding door needs replaced, it sounds like it's thundering every time you open or close it

First time visit to Edisto. Our younger boys loved the pool. Short walk to the beach.

We spent a long weekend at this property with family including 3 small children. Communication was great throughout the stay and very responsive. Pool was a great feature. Only thing to note is there are no interior stairs to bottom level bedroom.

This was a wonderful property for a family stay. The kitchen was well stocked. The pool and overlooking deck were fabulous amenities. The location was excellent.

The location was very convenient and close to the beach. Edisto is a very small island with a limited amount of restaurants and only one grocery store. Nice place to get away and spend time with family. The pool area was enjoyed by all and was our go-to area daily. We spent most of our time by the pool or on the top deck watching the people and animals walk the trail located just behind the house. The House: Upon checking into the home it appeared to be clean and in good shape.Our family always removes our shoes indoors(just something we've always done to prevent tracking in sand/etc.) The floors were very dirty and caused the bottoms of our feet to turn black. The bathrooms were not cleaned, the shower still had water beads on it from the previous renters and the shower curtain had lots of mildew on it. We purchased a mop and cleaning supplies and cleaned the home before sleeping the first night. You have to provide your own sheets, etc, which is fine and we knew ahead of time. But once you remove the comforters off of the beds to make them, they had to be vacuumed off due to food and hair on the mattresses. We saw 5 cockroach "looking" bugs in the bedroom and living room also. We found roach spray under the kitchen sink and used it several times. I didn't contact the owner immediately as I too am a property manager and didn't want to cause any issues during our stay. And sometimes things get overlooked. If you do choose to stay at this property, make sure you take bath rugs, as there aren't any. I almost felt like I was at a youth retreat with the lack of common things that should be in a house. I was traveling with my 70-year-old parents, my adult son and his friend that remained in bed after the first day because of sickness. We ended up leaving a day early and I notified the owner and also made them aware of the bugs we found, but honestly, I wasn't making a big deal out of anything. So two days later I got an email from the insurance we purchased for our stay that we had a claim filed on us. I contacted the owners right away and no response. I contacted them 3 times and requested pictures and documentation of the damage because I know we didn't damage anything! I only got a generic message from them with a "don't worry" message, insurance will take care of the damages and we look forward to your next stay! So here I am writing this review and I DID NOT want to do this. Please beware!!We won't be back!

We enjoyed our stay. Owners respond super fast. We did unfortunately get thunderstorms but really enjoyed the pool.

Beach Bums Paradise Property delivered. Exactly as described in the listing. A short walk to the beach provided ample opportunities to explore and gain ample sun and sand time, perfect weather all week. The private pool was awesome and a favorite for the younger members of our family. Especially an evening dip after a day on beach (after using the pool side outdoor shower of course). The provided charcoal grill and ample patio and deck areas meant lots of outdoor time. The house overall was great, well stocked with necessities and lounge time amenities.The Edisto Beach area is laid back and less commercialized than other popular areas. We saw lots of sea life and enjoyed excellent shelling in our daily walks. We definitely will be looking to book this property again. Thank You to our Hosts Billy and Christie Rollins!!

We loved our stay at this home; a great beach house. . The location was perfect and we had the best time floating in the pool in the evenings.:) Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of room for our group of 8. Thanks for the memories!

This house is a gem, in a great location and with a great pool! The only thing to note is that the shower in the downstairs bedroom is very small. Other than that, we'd give it 10/10!

The property is exactly as described and makes good use of design and space. Two large bedrooms with full baths on main level were perfect for us. Third bedroom with no bath on main level and fourth bedroom with bathroom on ground floor provided useful flexibility when brother and sister-in-law dropped by for a weekend. We reserved the property before the photos of the pool were added so the pool wasn't a factor in our decision, but we ended up using it almost every day. The weather was not ideal and we (and the rest of the Island) lost power several times, but it did not diminish our experience. We hope Beach Bums Paradise is available the next time we're able to visit Edisto Beach.

We vacationed with our whole family and thoroughly enjoyed the house!!! And of course the pool! It was nice and clean. The kitchen organization made sense. The layout just fit. We saw deer every day, coffee on the balcony, a path in back yard for choice of beach accesses, outside shower! It was all great! Owner made entire check in process easy and available if needed. We had no problems and so much fun!

Great house with beautiful pool and nice outdoor spaces. Super easy and short walk to the beach. Be aware that the downstairs bedroom is not accessible from inside the house. I had read that the room had its own entrance but didn’t realize it was only accessible from outside The owners were wonderful!

We had a great stay in this house. Well equipped, GREAT location, beautiful lot and we LOVED the pool. Drawbacks were the floors were not clean (and maybe this was more of an issue for me since we had a mobile baby crawling around), and the only way to the screen porch is through the bunk bedroom. Having said that the pros definitely outweighs the cons and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beachbums house is located very close to the beach. It has a swimming pool that was a blessing. The kitchen is huge and very well stocked. Will come back to this sedate beach town again for sure!

This was our first time to Edisto Beach. And, we loved it! This house is in the perfect location. Great layout. Very clean. The hosts were superb! And, the new pool was icing on the cake. We'll be back for sure.

Great stay!!

We had a great long weekend, the house was nice and clean on arrival. It is a great location less than 5 minute walk to the beach and Whaley's. Bike path is right in the back yard, easy access. We loved that it set back off the main road in edisto, made for a peaceful and quiet area. Not much traffic. We enjoyed the screened porch and large deck. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Our group of friends enjoyed the house greatly! We were not aware the 4th bedroom was downstairs and unattached to the main house, but overall the house was great. We loved the decorations!

House is configired nicely to accomodate a large group and the location (proximity to beach) was perfect. Great enclosed outdoor shower was an excellent bonus for a quick rinse or shower after returning from the beach. Would absolutely return to this property.
