Very nice place.

House was very clean and much bigger than the pictures depicted. We had 8 people ages 18-84 and had plenty of room. Pool area was great and only a short walk to the beach. The extra beach towels as well as boogie boards and chairs were an added bonus. Overall, a wonderful vacation rental in a nice area and convenient to stores as well as Historic St Augustine.

I was very happy with the location so close the beach in walking distance. The pool was a lot of fun and the house was very accommodated for our family.

The house was nice and everyone really enjoyed the pool. One of the light under the microwave was out. Someone before us had taken the connecting cord to the tv service on one of the TV's. Reported it and a guy came out with two cords but neither of them worked. Said he was going to see if he could fine the correct one. We checked out on Wed. and he never came back to fix it before we left. I feel the cleaning fee is quite high, for what we were expected to do before we left. Never had to do all that anywhere else.

This place was fantastic! The home was very nice & clean. It was well stocked with basic household items. The pool was very nice. The house was a short walk to the beach or you can drive a 4x4 vehicle onto the beach. The neighborhood was very good. The beach was not overcrowded even for us being here on the 4th of July. We also got to meet the owner. She was super nice. I definitely would come back & I would definitely recommend this rental.

The home was great for our group of 4 adults and 3 children. In addition to the three bedrooms there are two twin beds in the sun room as well as a couch and chair. The pool was great. We loved that the pool area was screened in so it limited bugs. The home was stocked with the essentials that we needed in the kitchen. Plenty of seating for everyone and lots of room, we never felt crowded. There is a beach access just across A1A from the house, 3 block walk. Home is located close to grocery stores and some restaurants. Just a short drive to historic St. Augustine.

When we drove up to the house the front looked nice. The inside had a smell to it that went away once we turned on the air and put vinegar down the drain. Really not sure what it was. The locks on the front door were a little flimsy. The inside was cute and we thought, "This will work nicely." It was comfortable and so was our bed, but one of our guests had to sleep elsewhere because she felt like she was rolling out of her bed. The outside was not so good. The cushions on the furniture were dirty, the screens on the screened-in porch were torn in several places, and the backyard needs a good servicing. We had read the reviews mentioning the hot tub being out of service a few months before, and we should have listened to those past guests. The website (multiple sites we looked at) showed the hot tub and steps leading up to it. My husband was looking forward to the hot tub especially. Imagine our surprise/disappointment when we found it not where it was in the photos but leaning on its side behind the shed! This is when the calls and issues with the property management began. I called the number given and was told by the service - yes, it's a service and not the office although they say they are open on Saturday - that they could not answer our questions about the hot tub and no one would be able to help until Monday. Two days into our week's vacation. I then went to the website and emailed and someone did call back. I explained my concern about the hot tub and was told the photos were old on the website and there was no hot tub. I asked why the photos were still up and were told they would be taken down. I asked if I could have some type of compensation considering that was a main reason we booked the house and the photos were on the websiite. She said she would talk to her manager and get back to me. Two days later I had to reach out. I was told - via text - the manager said no to our request and that they couldn't help us. I asked for a phone number for the manager, and eventually got a call back. He was rude and told me it didn't matter if there were photos because a clause in the contract said they weren't responsible if things didn't work. He hung up on me. You'll note the photos are still up although they said they would take them down. So, the inside of the house is nice. The outside needs work. And I wouldn't stay here knowing you may need to deal with the management.

Amazing place!

This was our second stay there. We loved it! The Christmas tree and lights that were already set up when we arrived was a great surprise! Look forward to staying again!

The mattresses in the rooms were pretty worn out. Not much restful sleep. The location is really convenient to the Matanzas beach ramp. Walked the dog to the beach each morning. Bring a wagon for your gear or just drive across A1A and you’re there!

We absolutely loved our stay. Some nice surprises we found - The pool is bigger than the photo appears, the home is stocked with tons of boogie boards/other ocean stuff (garage), and the 3 bedrooms were all king beds with their own TVs (4 total for the house). They pool water was always a perfect temperature and it’s a saltwater filtered pool (no chlorine smell to deal with).

The house was perfect for our family. Loved the pool and easy access to the beach.

Everyone loved the location and pool. Also the short walk to the beach was great. Some of us walked and others drove. We cooked a lot in the kitchen due to the Covid. We did laundry a few times so that was convenient. Also it was nice having plenty of towels for showers and the beach. Some even used the outdoor shower. Just a couple of things we could have used more of, t.p. and dish soap. But otherwise would definitely recommend the Blue Horizon beach house.

We loved the house! A few issues. Missing screen around pool, which allowed bugs into pool. The pool cleaning net was full of holes. The broken hot tub is full of tadpoles and mosquitoes. We would like to stay here again if the issues are fixed.

The gorgeous beach was only 5 minute to walk. The house is very spacious except the second bathroom. The only thing we missed was some kind of drying rack for the laundry. Our son had just returned from deployment in Poland and we wanted to take the entire family to a location that had specific amenities. We have pets and small children. We wanted a pool, grill, hot tub and pet friendly house. The inside of the home was clean and enjoyable. HOWEVER, it wasn’t the same for the outside. The pool was murky and had not been serviced. It took 2 calls to the rental agent and 4 days for someone to come service it. The grill was unusable. It was filthy and not in working order. We purchased new propane bottles and it still would not work. We had to go purchase our own grill to use. The hot tub was not working, in fact it had moth balls inside of it. We contacted the rental agent and were told that they would contact the owner. We had to contact them twice and they never got back with us after the second call with a follow up after they contacted the owner. On Thursday, the day before we left the pool man finally showed. The yard and landscaping was horrible. We had to call to have the yard mowed. The trees and flower beds were horribly overgrown and unattractive. The house also had a screened lanai around the pool. It had holes in the screen and spider webs growing all around. The house needed pressure washing as mildew was everywhere. We definitely WOULD NOT rent from this agent or homeowner again.

The beach was a quick 5 minute walk. The pool area was very comfortable and being screened in kept it bug free. The house was very spacious and inviting. Would definitely recommend it! The only issue we had was the Jacuzzi wasn't working. However when we called about it they were very apologetic and willing to have someone come fix it. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils as well as cleaning and laundry supplies.

The house was well equipped with the exception of any cleaning supplies and a mop for the kitchen floor. It was hard to clean up without that. We stayed for two weeks so would have been nice to have that. All else was good. The manager John was attentive when we had any questions or concerns. Would stay there again.

Property was probably updated 10 years ago with bad housekeeping lately. Shower heads didn't work, but we got one master bath fixed while we were there. Apparently guest bath shower fixtures are old and low quality. Very difficult to use. It's a shame the housekeeping was sub-par, and the bathroom fixtures were in disrepair. Also, there was no DVD player, as was advertised. Not a terrible place... it has potential with a few improvements.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this spacious home and didn't want to leave! It was very clean and nicely decorated. It was a short walk to the beach and had a nice little park directly across the street - great for small children. Our family loved having the small pool to take a swim in between activities. The fenced in backyard made it wonderful for our dog as well. There were more than enough dishes and kitchen supplies! Would like be to come back again!

Super high quality linens and kitchen supplies, awesome screened in pool that gets sun all day. Across the street from a beautiful beach that you can drive onto if you have a 4 x 4. Femced in yard is great for dogs. Winn Dixie and Publix down the street. A ton of great restaurants about 4 miles away. We loved Salt Life and Sunset Grill. Check out the lighthouse and the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. There is beach access every .5 miles, but luckily access for this house is across the street. Dogs are allowed on the beach as well with a leash. Located between Butler and St Augustine beach so you have access to both. Easy ride over the bridge into the town of St Augustine as well, but the house, pool and beach are so nice that you never want to leave!
