9 of us senior ladies over 75 enjoyed our stay!!
It took a bit of time trying to figure out what bedrooms we wanted on what floors!!, So many lovely ones, to choose from. Somewhat overwhelming !!! Once we figured what was on what floor, and who needed whatever, we settled in nicely!! A glass of wine settled down our pounding hearts!!!
One could not ask for a better stocked home. Everything was there. Thank you for that.
We especially enjoyed the big round dining table ( which fit 9 perfectly!), for our card games, and meals.
Nice to have had a home that also had the required amount of seating in the living room. Nice to warm up close to the fireplace.
Our group will return, and I encourage you to also consider this perfect home for your vacation get-a-way!!

The property and house were lovely and was just what we needed for the family event - the only issue we had was parking. It was listed as parking for 4 vehicles online; 2 in the garage and 2 in the driveway. We had a complaint about parking in the driveway and the document in the house said no parking in the driveway. We would have complied without an issue had we known about the on street parking before arrival.

We had a lovely stay on Bear Mountain. The large number of sleeping areas perfectly accommodated our group of 10. The house was clean and well equipped. The location was perfect to explore both downtown Victoria and the surrounding area.

Nice house, good location. We had 3 families staying, with 5 kids ranging from 20 months-4 years. We rented playpens and highchairs, but we wish the listing would have said that they had 2 highchairs and a playpen. Would be nice to have blackout blinds as every room was bright very early on in the mornings. Lots of appliances, kitchen gear, books, games, dvds. Would stay again. Property managers responded quickly to texts and addressed any issues we had.

This place was perfect for a large group of friends to kick back at during a 4 day golf trip.

Quiet neighborhood
Overall the house is great for our use: 4 couples. Layout of the house is optimal for entertainment. Plenty of sofas for relaxation. Appreciated the usage of the 2 car garage. Being picky : too many leftover condiments (who knows how old) in the fridge. Didn’t have use of the coffee maker as it was not operational during our stay. Lastly, clearer communication required if owner wishes the renters to “take out the garbage and recycling”. These little things easily fixable, would have made the overall experience a great one.

Family Treat Retreat
This accommodation was amazing. Lots of room for a large group. Very comfortable, well appointed, basic essentials provided and in a beautiful location close to resort amenities. The host is amazing to deal with and responds quickly. I can't think of a better home away from home. Thank you to the host for making this home available.

Bear Mountain Resort, Victoria BC
This is the message we sent to the owner but did not get a response
You have a beautiful home in a very safe and quiet neighborhood.
We have found a few things we found we should bring to your attention. We found:
1. A wine glass that was cracked.
2. The couch facing windows has a broken handle on the right side.
3. Counter top on the island has a small chunk out
4. Multiple stains on the brown bed spread in the Master.
5. Toaster only works on 1 side and even it is sad. Needs to be replaced.
6. Peppermill does.not work.
7. We had to re-wash some dishes, glasses and some pots and pans had grease on them and not clean.
8. Hinges in the basement rooms are very squeaky and need attention.
9. Laundry room light flickers constantly and needs
replacement.
10. Master bathtub tile has broken corner on the right front.
11. Popcorn under 2 of the couches plus a small kid's game.
12. TV in the 2nd bedroom upstairs on has a power connection and no cable box, unusable and frustrating.
13. Toilets continually run in th basement.
14. Front doors are not very solid even when locked. They both move and don't appear solid.
These are presented so you would know and meant.to help you maintain a 5-star rating in the future.

The best VRBO ever!!!
I just checked out of this home in Canada. It was by far, the best VRBO I have stayed in! Bear Mountain neighborhood is gorgeous and very peaceful. My kids really enjoyed walking to the rec center to swim. I loved the central location for exploring all of Victoria. I would definitely stay here again, and most likely will!

Beautiful house
House was very comfortable and well equipped. Very nice neighborhood. Nearby coffee shop was a pleasant and enjoyable walk in the morning. Roughly a half hour drive to downtown depending on traffic.

Reunion gathering of old school friends
We chose this rental because of its size, location and the positive reviews . It was perfect for our group of 10 senior ladies getting together after too many years. The home is laid out in a manner that allowed us all to be comfortably together when cooking or just lounging around visiting and recounting memories. The unit is very well equipped, the beds comfortable and the area feels safe and upscale.
We did have a problem getting onto the property the first day as we were given an incorrect gate code so I would suggest requesting phone numbers for both the owner and his wife just in case of any such snafu.
We had a wonderful time touring beautiful Victoria and area with Nico of "I Love Victoria Tours" He picked us up right at the house and took us to the waterfront district, Craigdarrouch Castle, Beacon Hill, China Town, the Governer Generals mansion and so much more. Nico could not have been more accommodating which we appreciated as a couple of the ladies had mobility issues.
We visited in late October so there was little evidence of Victoria's floral beauty but there are still plenty of sites to see during the fall.....and many fewer tourists.
We found there were several good pub style restaurants within a short driving distance of the rental that we enjoyed.
Don't forget to bring a hairdryer as this isn't a hotel and rubber soled slippers would be helpful as the beautifully polished living room floor tends to be a bit on the slippery side.
We would not hesitate to book this unit again should we decide to meet in Victoria again.

Beautiful Place
Our stay went without a hitch. Doug provides very detailed instructions of how to use everything and access to gates, doors, etc. The house was as described with accurate photos. We would definitely consider staying again when we return to Victory area.

Nice location, beautiful clean house, great place for a family gathering
The location was close to everything. We even had snow. I would recommend this property for a family trip. So much better than staying in separate hotel rooms. We cooked breakfast together every morning. Kitchen is well equipped. We had a wonderful time.

We are a group of ladies who annually travel together to different locations. We selected this Bear Mountain Resort location on Home Away and had a wonderful experience! The home was spacious and accommodated us nicely. The location was near markets and COSTCO, YYJ airport, and Victoria. We visited Butchart Gardens, local wineries, and toured Victoria while celebrating Canadas 150th year! The owners were very accomadating and saw to our every need.

This is great house. The one negatvie thing would be the downstairs bed makes a lot of sounds when you move. There needs to better pillows. I would rent this house again.
