As described: beautifully renovated home with all the amenities you might possibly need. Great setting for a party. Loved the firepit and the hot tub jets were perfect for winding down. Everything was spotless. Would be closer to perfection were grass to replace the gravel in the back yard. Ample street parking yet easy walk into town and Whitman campus. So glad we picked this place for our celebration!

The Washington House is great for a weekend away and perfect setup for three couples with each room having their own bathroom. All the amenities you would get at a hotel (toiletries, bath robe, coffee) and kitchen is fully stocked with every type of pan/cooking utensil/dish you might need for entertaining. In a quiet neighborhood, beautiful tree lined streets, and only a 15 min wall to town for whopping and wine tasting. Will definitely book again.

This is the second time I’ve stayed in this home. It’s great for a girls weekend or a couples weekend…it basically has 3 master bedrooms with a full bathroom for each room. The location is great, the house is clean and the kitchen is very well equipped.

The property is well kept and beautifully updated. It is located in a quite residential neighborhood within easy walkable distance to Pioneer Park and Whitman University. We found the house to be open and bright and served as a wonderful gathering place for our family. Enclosed backyard and off street parking were a wonderful bonus. A truly delightful stay!

I stayed for a Whitman Reunion weekend, and this house was perfect for an introvert needing a place to go rest in between events with people! Close enough to campus and town to easily walk. Clean, comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchen. Gorgeous home, so clean, has everything you need. The hot tub was amazing. Quiet at night, I slept like a baby. Thank you for making my visit feel so good.

The open concept on the main floor, the well stocked kitchen area along with the 3 bedroom/bath en suites made for a perfect getaway for 3 couples exploring the wine country of Walla Walla.

Great place, great location

This is a story about perspective, and of course context: recognize there was no way for property management and/or owner to know that we were on vacation (at what we used to call our “Walla Walla Sanctuary”) due to severe traumatic personal events, however the following events and violation to our privacy and security happened. Therefore we will not be returning. So here we go… Second day into our five night stay, I hear my sister scream from downstairs. I run downstairs and she is completely shook explaining how someone came onto property, walked through the backyard carrying something, got into a waiting car out front and drove off. We read the house binder (no note of maintenance that day) and then contacted the management company to see if anyone was expected to be on property. We were told no one was expected, advised to call non-emergency, and they would call the owner to double check. Management (Terry) stated no one was scheduled to be on property. Third day of our stay, once again I hear my sister scream their is someone in the backyard at the hot tub. We call the management company again. Are told no one is expected and they would call the owner. Call back and we are informed hot tub maintenance is on site Tues & Weds and a sign should be posted. No sign is posted, nor does the house references/signs regarding the hot tub include this information. In fact, the documentation says hot tub maintenance is done before and after each stay (which clearly had not been done as the hot tub was cloudy upon our arrival). We informed management that now two days in a row our space and privacy have been violated without communication and it is not acceptable. After back and forth between the management company and the owner, we were offered a free night on our next stay. We asked for compensation for this stay, since we have been completely stressed, triggered, and not able to relax after having our privacy violated for TWO days. We were told again only compensation on our next visit would be offered. Unfortunately this does not make up for unnecessary trauma experienced during this stay. So, we informed Terry we will not return to this house and will have to report this to VRBO. Again, this was a return trip- that’s how much we loved this “sanctuary”… but we will not support an owner/management team that does not care about the privacy, security and comfort of their guests. Recommend you consider the same.

Our group of three couples absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home! It is obvious the owners have paid a lot of attention to the details that contribute to a lovely environment with special nuances that made our experience memorable. Upon arrival, we asked about the location of the BBQ (it was stored because it was early March) and, within a matter of minutes, one of the property managers responded with the garage code for access and the other property manager arrived at the house, along with her husband, to help us pull the BBQ out and make certain it was functional for us. One of our friends mentioned he has previously stayed in hotels with managers 50 yards away that were less responsive! Very impressive property, attentive management and a fantastic location!

Awesome house and amenities. Host was communicative and responded quickly. Only negative was no BBQ or seat cushions for outdoor furniture although both offered/listed. We loved it so much, we booked a return trip during our drive home! LOL :)

Very nice, newly remodeled, and comfortable. Well located for exploring wineries in both Walla Walla and Milton-Freewater. Downtown location was very convenient for restaurants and shopping. Only one complaint, housekeeping needs to remember to clean under beds and couches.

We had a wonderful time staying at Walla Walla's Washington House! The house is beautiful, the weather was fine, the wines were spectacular and our trip with good friends couldn't have been better! The house is set up perfectly for three couples; three beautiful bedrooms with en suite bathrooms (the upstairs master is heavenly), a large dining room and kitchen/bar/prep area that is well equipped and conducive to cooking, and a hot tub that comfortably seats six. We spent our afternoons snacking and drinking wine in the outside eating area while enjoying the beautiful fall colors, and chilly evenings around the firepit watching the October moonrise. There was plenty of off-street parking for three vehicles. The neighborhood is well established and maintained and made the perfect location for our daily walks. It is a short distance to the main area of town; about a 10-15 minute walk or just a few minute drive. When we travel back to Walla Walla, we will definitely consider staying at Washington House again.

Lovely home and great location.

We love this house for our Walla Walla trips. It is perfect for three couples. We would have appreciated some additional pillow choices and we did have a little musty smell in the house this time. We couldn’t determine if it was pet oder or what but sprayed the entry rug several times and it helped. We appreciated the coffee and tea. The filter needs replaced in the fridge for the water. The tap water has a chlorine taste.
