Very fun vacation with family on the lake. Quiet and peaceful area. Spent time on the water, at Devils Lake and in the Dells. Enjoyed a fire by the water every night.

Beautiful setting. right on water close to lot's of activities but also a chance to get away from it all. Note both beds are double beds.

View was wonderful! Coming from a big city, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and slower pace. Great central location/hub to see the sights such as the Cave of the Mounds, Ringling Brothers, Crane Preserve, Frank Lloyd Wright house, the Dells, or just to hang out around the cabin. Dawn is very easy to work with. We had a great stay!

Our family had a wonderful time for a extended weekend get away. Our boys had plenty of room to run, play and explore without us having to worry about cars or neighbors. And the inside of the house was perfect for 4.

This little cabin reminded me of the cabin I spent summers in at Lake of the Ozarks. It's not fancy but it has everything you need to have a relaxing time on the lake. It's nestled in the trees at the end of a little gravel road, so quiet and peaceful. Dawn was great to work with, very responsive and provided basic necessities such as shampoo, laundry soap, dish soap, etc. Highly recommend if you're a simple person looking for a quiet get away!

Just what we needed. A view, the sound of water and small towns to explore. We even took out the kayak and the canoe. Thanks for the lovely week!

From the upper deck overlooking the grounds and lake to the firepit with big comfy chairs right by the water we loved it all. Views in the morning and evening from the pier were what I dreamed about when I booked. Kayaks provided were great especially evenings and mornings! We will book again for 2023!

The house is right on the lake. Breathtaking views. It has a wonderful deck, screened-in porch, swing, dock, and great fire pit. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, it really had everything we needed. Has a huge yard, great for our dog. And a good distance between this house and the neighbors. And its about 20 to 30 minutes from all kinds of things to do. Other lakes, hiking trails, shopping, etc. Just wonderful, highly recommend.

If you use map app it ends on cedar ave and then you need to make a right up the gravel road and drive to the end. I enjoyed using the ferry, but it can get backed up on Sunday afternoon going south. Best grocery is Festival food in Bariboo. The ice age trail is as close as a ten minute drive and devils lake and the glen are a short ride.

This was our first time staying on Lake Wisconsin. We were so excited to come, and the cabin was the perfect home base for my wife, small daughter, and our dog. Having spent a lot of time in the Finger Lakes area of NY with family, Lake Wisconsin has the same feeling of a glacially carved lake with gorgeous views both on the lake and above it. The main difference is the clarity/cleanliness of the water, since this is a dammed area of the Wisconsin River, so the depth isn't huge and the water/lakebed is more like river water than clear glacial lakewater. Small price to pay for such a beautiful area within a morning's drive of Chicago! The views were so pretty from this cabin. A great firepit, an outdoor eating area, a huge lawn to play on, and plenty of watertoys (tube, kayaks, canoe, paddleboat) to stay busy on the property all day. We rented a pontoon and the dock was very easy to dock up to. The house is small, but the kitchen is completely manageable for making big family dinners and hanging out at night in the main area. The beds and especially the pillows could use an update, and as other reviewers have mentioned, the bathroom is teeny. But it's got effective A/C for hot summer days, it's plenty clean and has a nice, woodsy lake vibe. It was really the perfect spot for a long family lake weekend and we'd definitely come back.

Host was very accommodating, property had everything you would want to cook/grill and enjoy the lake. We had wished this was more of a swimming lake, however, we enjoyed the property and area very much. Super relaxing!

We loved the location with great views of the lake from the yard and cottage. So nice to have a fully equipped kitchen or grill for cooking. The cottage provided all the conveniences but we spent most of time outside on the dock, at the firepit or just enjoying the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the property. We enjoyed the adirondack chairs and fire pit on the river bank, the swing, and just sitting on the dock listening to water. The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped, with many thoughtful amenities. We were able to unwind completely and enjoy the beauty of the river. The cottage is at the end of a gravel lane on which there are a few other houses, and it was very quiet day and night. What noise there was came from boats on the river. We also made good use of the Merrimac Ferry which is just a few minutes down the road. So the location of the cottage was great for access either north toward Devil's Lake and the Dells or south toward Madison. Dawn was great to work with. She responded quickly to any questions we had before and during our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

There is no oven but a toaster oven worked just fine. The bathroom is small and could use a little face lift but it was clean, albeit the shower stall would be tight for a larger person. There is no central air but a window unit and portal unit, however one of the bedrooms lacked a window unit making it stuffy during the night. The owner provides two single person kayaks, a canoe, and peddle boat (and has some life vests for use) which was an amazing treat. I would highly recommend bringing water shoes to wear in the lake as the shore is rocky and muddy and there are fresh water mussels along the waters ground which can be tough on bare feet. All in all my girls ages 8 and 11 had a blast catching frogs, swimming and visiting Devil's Nation Park.

This is one of those places that turns out to be exactly as pictured and described. We were delighted by everything about the place! The best thing was that it felt so secluded, compared to other places along the lake that were much more open. We could see the lake while dining on the deck, but big beautiful trees screened the view of the deck from the lake. There was such an attention to detail - everything we needed was there in the kitchen. We used the kayaks, paddle boat, and canoe and had a great time swimming in the lake. Definitely plan to stay here again in the future!

We stayed in this Lake Wisconsin cottage for 3 nights in July. It's a delightful, small, cozy cottage and it was perfect for our family of 4 and a dog! We enjoyed the lake views from a shady deck, lawns, fire pit and swing shaded by large trees. Even though it was a hot weekend, the cottage surroundings were very comfortble thanks to cool shade and constant breeze from the lake. The cottage was super clean and it had all the basic neccessities for a weekend. I would love to go back for another weekend of quietness and downtime. Thanks Dawn!
