Dieses Haus bewahrt seinen ursprünglichen Cottage-Charme der 1940er Jahre mit dem klassischen Door County-Steinkamin (nicht funktionsfähig), Zedernwänden und Holzböden. Das Haus bietet Platz für 8-12 Personen mit 4 Schlafzimmern und 2. 5 Bädern. Der Speisesaal mit Seeblick bietet Platz für 12 Personen. The property is amazing, and very well maintained. The only thing I would change is that towels be included. I hadn’t read the description closely enough and we had to make an emergency shopping trip to get towels. I can’t really understand why this wouldn’t be included in the amenities. I personally wouldn’t want to pack towels for a large family. This, to me, is a basic amenity. Other than that it was a perfect stay!!

Our family of nine very much enjoyed the stay, our second year in a row here. The lake is clear and beautiful! Some people fished from the rowboat, while others used stand up paddle boards and still others kayaked. It's close to good hiking, and the bicycling was excellent -- nicest roads I've encountered anywhere with very little traffic. The kitchen is over-stocked with small to medium cookware, so we usually bring a large stockpot, a couple of loaf pans, and a large bowl for salads, etc. Other than that, it has everything we needed. Hosts are responsive to text/email.

We are very pleased with the location, we were able to go out to restaurants within 10 to 15 minutes of the place and including one just a half a mile from it. It’s very relaxing, quiet, we had a great time.

Our 6 family members thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. The location was fantastic, close to things to do, yet quiet and serene when we wanted to rest and recharge. Although it is Fall, we took advantage of the canoe and had fun taking turns around the lake.
The property was extremely clean and well-equipped with anything you’d really need for cooking and lakeside activities. Also, I haven’t slept this well in probably years. Thank you, Thank you! :) we hope to make it back again.

We are 3 retired couples wanting to explore Washington & Rock Islands, Bailey’s Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim & Fish Creek. All were within a short distance from the cabin. There were many dining options and wineries nearby. Cabin was clean & as described. The stairway to 3 bedrooms upstairs is steeper & narrow & may be difficult for some guests. The fans upstairs were a Blessing during the rainy nights when windows could not be open. The garage was nice to store our bikes. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay! Two families - 4 adults, 3 teens and 2 seven year olds. It was a comfortable amount of space for 9 people. We were super impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked, and with the variety of equipment for outdoor activities. The paddle boards were a huge hit! We also utilized the board games & toys every day. We had milder temps in the 70s all week, so the upstairs AC window unit in one bedroom cooled the upstairs very quickly at night. We were two separate family units and closed the bedroom doors while sleeping. It would likely get very warm in the other 2 bedrooms on super hot days/nights unless app bedroom doors were kept open. The cabin was fairly clean. We found some places that had not been cleaned well before we arrived. The long dining table with ample seating was also awesome to have for meals and playing games. Overall, we recommend the Lakeside Cabin for your family vacation!

This was better even than we anticipated. We made good use of the kayak and stand up paddleboards included. The lawn was big enough to accommodate our badminton set. The table/dining area easily accommodated our family of nine. Two of our kids spent a lot of time fishing from the adjacent causeway. We also enjoyed reading beneath the shady tree and watching the lake. It's close to several good places to hike, too. We will strongly consider returning! Maureen answered questions promptly.

Wonderful location in Door County and quiet being away from the "hustle" of the small towns, while still being close and easy access to everything! Clean and well-stocked house, with lots of amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

This a great lakefront property and really nice home. If the weather had been a little better, the outdoor area would’ve been fantastic to enjoy. Beautiful views of the lake. Having little ones, I really appreciated that this home had a lot of items for kids too. Property owners were very responsive, accommodating and easy to work with. would definitely recommend staying here and would love to stay here again in the future.

Kangaroo Lake Getaway
Lovely and peaceful setting with a well-equipped kitchen and every entertainment need provided. We hated to leave, but left relaxed and restored. Perfect for water activities and access to all that Door County has to offer! Our hosts were attentive and responsive. We look forward to renting again!

Multi Family Get Away
We enjoyed our time at the Lakeside Cabin. Over all it was a wonderful stay. We loved being able to canoe and kayak right in the back yard and loved having a fire at the end of the day. We didn't realize the property was right off a main road. So we were a little bummed about that, but did enjoy the walking distance to Coyote Roadhouse (which we totally recommend)! The cleanliness of the house over all was good, but I'm not sure the floors were mopped. It felt very dirty and our feet/socks were pretty dirty as well. But those things I would say weren't too big of an issue to say to not rent this place again. All the other details made our trip great. The communication between the owners and us was also amazing! They were quick to respond and super helpful. I even left my DSLR camera by accident and they are willing to help get that back to me. Thank you so much for opening your home to allow us to make some memories as a family.

Peaceful lake front wonderland!
First of all, the hosts are fabulous. They responded to questions quickly, communicated clearly and had everything ready for our arrival… including having the dock, boat and water toys ready for us to experience Kangaroo Lake completely, even though it was early in the season. So much appreciated. They also gave tons of information about the home and surrounding area restaurants, attractions, parks, etc…and recommended many “must see” locations on the peninsula that greatly helped with planning our time there. Nicely centrally located to be able to get anywhere on the peninsula quickly and with ease. We are from California and very familiar with beautiful scenery but Door County did not disappoint! We were 9 adults ranging from 31 to 71 years old and all of us had a great time exploring all the area had to offer. The cottage is cozy, kitchen well equipped and the huge dining room table accommodated all of us for meals and story telling. We spent a lot of afternoons in the grassy backyard, sitting in colorful Adirondack chairs soaking up the sun, grilling dinner and enjoying the peaceful isolation and each other’s company. A beautiful location for a family to gather! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Great long weekend
We had a wonderful long weekend for my bachlorette party, the property was well maintained, great backyard area with plenty of seating. We loved having fires at night! The double kayak, SUPs, and canoe were great for our group to get out on the water (which was very clean!), and the yard had a perfect view of the sunset. The location was also great for going to wineries and state parks, most things were about 15 mins away or less. Would definitely return in the future!

Comfortable home good location
We (4 women) enjoyed our stay. Home was as presented, beautiful lake view, patio we used morning and evening, kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms were good and we liked having 3 bathrooms. Enjoyed exploring the area as so much to do - only a short drive to Peninsula State Park, Baileys Harbor and Cana lighthouse, Cave Point County Park and Ephraim and the Old Post Office for fish boil. The 2 person kayak was great to take on a paddle around the island. Hosts were very quick to respond to any question. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Bailey's Harbor is a gem
We absolutely loved our stay at Bailey's Harbor on Kangaroo Lake. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and the lake views from the dining room every morning during breakfast was amazing. The location is off the beaten path in door county, but yet still super close to town, an organic farm, and amazing winery. We will definitely be back!

Bachelorette party
Stayed here for my daughter’s bachelorette party… there were 7 of us. This place was perfect. The location is in the middle of everything. The lake is beautiful and there were lots of things to use. The owners were great at communicating and left a very nice basket of local fare. There’s a restaurant just down the road that was very good. The kitchen/dining room was great for games an visiting.

Highly recommended, great for families
We had a great time making memories at this lakeside cabin. We have 5 kids, age range 1-9, and the convenience of being able to walk out onto the lake is just amazing! Many vacations end up being alot of work on the mom, this was a great escape, relaxing and fun for the whole family. The older boys learned to kayak, the men enjoyed fishing, and the younger kids splashed around and enjoyed the minos! This is great vacation for families, but also there is much to do in surrounding area for all ages groups from zip lines to kayak tours to fish boils and the living -museum Farm. :)

We had a fabulous and relaxing time staying on Kangaroo Lake. The property was exactly as described in the listing. Ryan and Maureen were very attentive and quick to answer questions. We only had 5 people staying in the home, but it is spacious to accommodate many more comfortably. We would definitely recommend this property!

This property was ideal for our family of 9. Plenty of room and the 2 full and 1 half baths was a godsend. The washer and dryer was so appreciated! The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was so clean! We enjoyed our stay, Door County never disappoints. Great home and location
We had a great time at this home. Check-in process was seamless, communication with the owners - immediate. We had all our questions answered right away. The home was very clean and very well stocked.
We had so much fun with all of the water amenities provided. There is a small motor boat included - a rear find, which we used to explore Kangaroo Lake. There is a 3-person kayak, a canoe, and a stand-up paddle board - all in great condition, along with a bunch of water toys. We were all very sad to leave. The home is located in a natural area right on the lake, yet very close to the main door county towns of Bailey's Harbor and Fish Creek.

Perfect Family Lake House Getaway
Plenty to enjoy for all ages with a kayak, canoe, rowboat available for use. Bikes available, green space close for kickball or other games. Indoor games and puzzles for when the weather isn’t ideal. Definitely on our list to return.
