wonderful house great location, recommend a couple of things. First one of the coffee pots does not work, a pod style maker would be really nice as well. The toaster only works on one side. for a house this big we have always had 2 four slice toasters. A Blackstone grill would be great as we brought our own from home. There are always small issues that are not worth mentioning because the house is that good. I am 63 years old, and I don't know how many more years I can do the steps to the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay! The water was warm and very calm fur kayaking and paddle boarding. We also rented a boat but spent many days just lounging on the dock. The house had everything we needed but it was a 10 minute drive to town for groceries.

The home was exactly as advertised, with plenty of room for all to be together or find a nook for reading. The owners were very quick to answer any and all questions. We found an abundance of hikes within a 30-45 minute beautiful car ride at the many state parks. We also enjoyed the kayaks and water slide. I highly recommend this home.

My family and I came for a post-Christmas gathering and a chance to be all together under one roof. There was plenty of room for all of us and space to be with the whole crowd or move to a different part of the house when we needed some quiet! We especially loved that there were laundry facilities on two levels and two dishwashers in the main kitchen. With all the hills, we definitely didn't have to worry about missing leg day, just climb that driveway three or four times. The hosts checked in throughout the stay and even left a little care package which came in handy for someone who forgot their bath gel (plus, who doesn't like Chex mix).
If you haven't been to this area before, know that arriving in daylight would be a good idea with all the winding roads. Overall a great experience!

We got all of our family together and spent three days together celebrating Christmas. We had a wonderful time and had plenty of room in the kitchen for all the cooking we did. With it being winter we weren’t able to enjoy the lake but it would be amazing during the summer!!!

I have a large family that was planning a couple day getaway, until our mother took ill. We had to provide her in home 24 hour care and had to cancel. I hope to repeat a glowing review next year as we try to move on without our matriarch.

House was great and the dock was fantastic. Two of us had boats and they fit well. Overall the house was awesome. We would definitely rent again. A few things to check on. The ice machine isn’t capable of producing enough ice for an entire family. We had 20 people and constantly had to run out and get ice. The counter top ice machine in the basement is moldy and need cleaning badly. We didn’t ice from that machine. The ice maker in the one refrigerator didn’t work. Also the steps down to the fire pit could use some lights. A couple members of our family stumbled their way down and most of them were sober at the time lol. Those things are minor and the trip, location, and host were awesome.

The property was really clean. Large enough for our big family. Every family had their own floor, with bedrooms bathrooms and sitting area. Kitchen was very spacious and big enough for everyone to sit and eat together. Decks were spacious too. Nice quite cove for the family to float and enjoy. Kayaks were provided and we used them to go fishing in the cove. We rented a pontoon for the week. Marina close by.
We lost a phone near the dock and found a diver. He came out that day. Very reasonable priced. Very nice man. If you every need a diver give Need A Diver a call.
All questions were answered really quickly from the owners. I would recommend the is house to everyone. You can tell the owners take pride in owning this house.

We were so grateful to find a 9-bedroom house where our family's 3 generations from all over the USA could stay together while attending the funeral of our 94-year-old mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The house was perfect! The reservation and check-in process was clearly communicated to us and went very smoothly. The kitchen was very functional, there were plenty of tables and chairs for eating meals together, and the living room was very comfortable. All the beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the outdoor porches and decks with beautiful views of the lake, and loved the firepit area with the circle of chairs. It's never easy for a family to lose a much-loved elder, but being able to live and mourn together instead of being in separate hotel rooms was a blessing. Our only regret was that we were not there to enjoy the lake, swimming, or boating. There was a suggestion that we return to this home in the summer or even next summer to experience it as a vacation home. Hopefully we will make that happen. The name of this property is Southern Comfort, and we all agreed that we were comforted in our grief by the weekend we spent in this lovely southern home.

The layout of the house and areas for meeting are ideal. The kitchen layout is perfect. Great number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The lake was drained, but that is normal for this time of year. Check in was easy and cleanliness was top notch. Downstairs bedrooms are a little cold. Only challenge is if you have anyone in your party with a dog allergy - there is a very strong dog smell in some of the furniture and one of the bedrooms.

My large family of 24 stayed at this house over New Year’s Eve weekend. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and it never felt cramped. We all enjoyed having our own bathroom as well. This house is great for large parties. The property manager was very attentive and helpful to our needs. I highly recommend this home.

MaryBeth really exceeded expectations when she helped us contact Janice who graciously met us so we could retrieve items we accidentally left in the house. House was perfect for our family ranging in age from 3-94! I highly recommend this property. We hope to rent again.

We really enjoyed our time in this home. We had a large group of people and there was enough space for everyone to go off in groups or just do their own thing in the home. It was clean, beautiful, and welcoming. The kitchen was so spacious and we had enough room for all our things.
My only complaint is the parking. It's shared with the home next door. When the last car arrived Saturday night, they had to squeeze in to get to the house. In the morning after all the guests from the other home left, we realized they were taking up most of the space in front of our rental also.

This house is amazing! We stayed here for a staff retreat and had a great time. The kitchen / upstairs very easily fit 15 adults and having double appliances made for easy meal prep! We came to celebrate two birthdays with a group of friends and it was a wonderful stay. Amenities were up to date and the cabin was beautiful. Beds could have been a bit more comfortable but overall, a very nice stay! The views were beautiful the changing leaves were picturesque. I will say, there was no dock like we saw in the listing pictures but I think that is because of the time of year. I would definitely stay here again!

From 11 months to 70, all had a good time. Home is set up nicely. Family loved that everyone had their own bedroom and bath. Kitchen very well equipped. Lily pad, kayaks and such at the dock to use. The kids had the best time, despite some rain, swimming and going diwn the dock slide. The cove is perfect if your group has kids. There's no current and very little boat traffic. This part of the cove is wide and when boats do come by they were able to stay well away from our floating group. The house had some plumbing problems causing some ceiling leaks in the lower level and a bedroom and bath were missing some flooring due to this but totally functional. Another leak occurred while we were there and we had to do a little trashcan triage and inform the owner but this did not prevent us from having an amazing family weekend. Let's face it every home is going to eventually have some maintenance issues. Owner was very responsive when I messaged her about these issues. We'd definitely rent from them again!

Perfect Lake Norris vacation house located on a cove that is perfect for all water activities. Plenty of space for the whole crew. Nicely decorated/furnished and most needs are provided. Mary Beth was very helpful and accommodating with any of our questions and concerns. Can’t wait to go to Norris Lake next year.
