What a wonderdul house for a big family,10. At night everyone could rest in their space or all together. The house is very sturdy to where when we went to bed upstairs, we didnt hear everyone that stayed up to watch tv or play games.
The pool area is great. The dock and canal is perfect for a bigger boat. Being right at Vaca Cut is always a plus!
We will stay here again!

Our stay at the Veranda house was outstanding. The house was very clean and in a great location. It took less than 5 minutes to run the boat out to either the gulf side or Oceanside. It is also close to the marina, dive shop and grocery store. The kitchen was very well stocked and linens/towels were abundant. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately, a pipe leak required maintenance to come out and fix it; however, management was very responsive and non-intrusive to this issue. After each day out on the boat, we had a great time finishing off our day in the pool, and relaxing under the tiki hut. The boat dock was perfect with access to water and a fish cleaning station. We were entertained by the tarpon, sharks and manatees in the canal as my son cleaned fish. There was plenty of room downstairs to store/secure our boat and dive gear. Having access to the ice machine was an absolute DREAM; this saved us money and time each morning when prepping to go out in the boat. I do wish pets are allowed, because we missed having our dog with us. However,, we understand the purpose behind this requirement. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying at this house when visiting Marathon.

Marathon House Review
The house is great. There is plenty of space to spread out between the pool, wrap around porch, and in the interior. There are lots of doors and windows for a cross breeze. The kitchen is well stocked aside from sharp knives (zero). Bring basket coffee filters and coffee. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space and a helpful ice machine downstairs. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for walking, the grocery store is about a 15 minute drive. This would be a great place if you have a boat, easy to park and keep write off the back of the property. The rental company is easy to communicate with, check in was easy.

We head an awesome time at the property , just a short boat ride to awesome fishing spots , pool was heated to perfection , would stay again

There was a obviously a party the night before the pool was filthy and large glitter was all over the place and also all in pool. Property manager was notified and they asked us to pick up and clean out of pool. Property manager did not have pool cleaned until Wednesday and we were not able to a swim till late thursday as it was so merky. no one ones to swim in nasty pool so it was not usable for the majority of our trip. The house was nice and the ice machine downstairs is a plus for fishing needs.

We stay in KCB every summer and were so impressed with this property compared to previous rentals. The property managers are great. Detailed, helpful & clear communications were provided. Perfect for our group of 7. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!! The kitchen was recently remodeled and we enjoyed cooking together. We spent some great family time outside enjoying the veranda's, pool and tiki hut! We were so happy with our choice and plan to book again for next year!!

The home was very nice. The kitchen has been updated since pictures had been taken and was very nice. Loved the heated pool and and outdoor area. It was in a nice neighborhood and close to some good restaurants.

The dishwasher was not secure and every time the door was opened the dish washer tilted forward. There is a hole in the wall in the upstairs master bedroom. Toilet tissue holder in downstairs bath is broken. It would be nice if the downstairs bedroom a/c was tied in to the central system instead of the noisy window unit. Two of the decking boards fell off when stepped on ( deck board screws only penetrate the joist approx 1” with approx. 10” overhang on boards. All of the outdoor trash cans were full on Saturday when we checked in. Pleas take all of this as constructive criticism.

Great house in a great location.
Our family vacations in Key Colony Beach every year because of the great location to the ocean and the Gulf. This house was in that perfect location. The house was large, comfortable, clean and had the comforts of home. Huge plus were the ice machine and bait freezer as we our boaters and on the water all day fishing, lobstering etc... the pool is small but perfect for a dip after a long day on the boat. Kitchen could use a little updating but had everything needed to cook meals for 10 people. Really an overall great house. The managing team was very nice. Sad to leave the Keys and the Veranda House.

We rented the Veranda House for 8 days in February, 2019 and had a wonderful time! The size of the house was perfect for our family of 6, including our 2 1/2 year old grandson.
We were particularly pleased that the pool area was completely fenced off from the house so that our grandson could not get into the pool area by himself. The pool is heated and quite small - ideal for a 2 1/2 year old to "swim" in with his toddler vest with arm floaties.
The house is ideally located for a trip to the Florida Keys, being about 1/2 way down the Keys - equidistant from both Key Largo and Key West.
There is plenty of shopping and a number of restaurants in Marathon which is very close to the City of Key Colony Beach where the Veranda House is located. There are also a number of beaches within easy reach of the house.
We hope to have the opportunity in the future to return to the Veranda House!

House was clean and comfortable other than the master bed mattress. There were plenty of dishes, utensils, etc. Ice machine was great since we fished every day although it sounded like a dump truck when it made ice. Pool was small but our kids enjoyed it. Power outlets and lights on the dock didn't work which made it hard to clean fish after dark with an electric fillet knife. The gas grill worked but desperately needs to be replaced. Also the real estate agent did not inform us that they were currently building a house 20 feet away which was very disturbing with the noise and the workers constantly staring. Overall for the price I am sure there is a better bang for the buck somewhere else close by.
