We had the best time at Touchstone! It was our first time on the island and we fell in love. The house was very authentic and we comfortable. The beach is right around the corner and the location was just perfect! We will definitely be back :)

We had a wonderful time staying at Touchstone, it was very relaxing. We love make dinner and sitting out on the patio at night. After dinner we would all go to the beach and look at all the star at night, living in the city you don't get to see that many star at night. Touchstone is a beautiful home and we hope to be back someday soon. :)

If you are considering Touchstone House to rent…Just Book it! We were halfway through our stay and we rebooked for 2025. Karina was an amazing host, very proactive with her communications leading up to our arrival and keeping me on track with all of my booking for the island. Very easy to get in touch with and when we had an issue with the lock on a door it was immediately addressed. Housekeeping and grounds keepers were wonderful. The pictures don’t do the house justice. The proximity to the beach was a must for us with small kids. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces at night, listening to the waves. Our boys ran around the yard and made friends with the boys staying at Touchstone Cottage. We felt very safe and comfortable. Can’t wait to return.

Our family just returned from our stay at the touchstone house and we're already wanting to book another stay. A week was not long enough! The house was perfect for our family of four. It's in the perfect location just steps from the beach. Karina and David have done an amazing job in making this rental feel like home. The daily house keeping was much appreciated along with the laundry service the staff provides. The home is decorated beautifully. Both bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and high quality linens. The well stocked kitchen and outdoor space was one of our favorite parts of the house. Karina was so helpful in making our first stay in Harbour Island magical. She provided helpful information about the island that made us feel as ease traveling to a new place. my family and i recently stayed at touchstone house… and it was an absolute dream! the location could not have been more perfect, the home is absolutely darling, and the hospitality and communication leading up to the trip was great and made things easy to plan from afar! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Touchstone. We are repeat guests and will continue to be repeat guests. The property is beautiful, private, and stocked with beach essentials. Inside you will find the coziest, cutest house that you wish you could live in forever. Harbour Island and Touchstone Main House AND Cottage will forever be my families favorite place on Earth.

The pictures are accurate, and Karina went out of her way to keep in touch during the entire stay to make sure everything was ok. The walk to the beach is very short and nearly flat. Shorter than most of my vacation rentals in Florida. I would not have wanted to walk up and down the bluffs from the beach to the nearby beach homes every day. One little thing that you don't think about is the back up generator for the house. Not only is the entire house air-conditioned, but one night our electric went out early in the evening until the next morning. It would have been unbearable had the Touchstone House generator not instantly kicked on. Not all rentals have a back up generator. Something very much needed on the islands. A perfect stay !

This was the second time we stayed at this house, and once again, had a wonderful stay. The house is perfect for our family and had everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back next year!

My family and I just arrived back from our amazing and relaxing week at Touchstone house, but funnily enough it was actually a year in the making! We were set to travel to Touchstone house last February for a baby moon, but unfortunately I got Covid a few days before our departure. I reached out to Karina the host, and she couldn't have been more understanding and accommodating. She was kind enough to shift our trip to this April, and although we had to wait a year it made our arrival (with a baby in tow), all the sweeter! Karina was so wonderful, and thoughtfully checked in with us once we arrived and was available for any questions. The house is set amongst an acre of gorgeous trees and flowers, with the ocean just steps away. We loved hanging around on the multiple outdoor seating areas, and the grill and table was perfect for nights when we stayed in. We made it to the beach everyday, and the beach shed had everything we needed. If we forgot anything it was a 30 second walk back to the house! The outdoor shower was the perfect way to end our beach days. Inside the home was so inviting and comfortable - each design detail and need was thought of. The kitchen was stocked with any cooking needs you might have, and the entire place just had such a warm and happy energy. The housekeeper and her husband were so wonderful and organized a crib, high chair and even babysitters for our stay - and with it being a quick golf cart ride into town we bounced around easily. My husband and I said to each other several times throughout the week just how happy we were to be staying there and spending our first vacation as a family at Touchstone House. Needless to say, we can't wait to return!

We rented both house and cottage for our family vacation. It was the perfect proximity - close enough for my kids to scoot over to see their grandparents while having some privacy and separation when needed. Everything was impeccable with our stay and was as expected per the listing. Karina was a gracious host and communicating with her was very easy. We were steps away from the beach and the location is ideal to getting to restaurants and shops via golf cart. The home was outfitted with everything needed for the week and Karina has impeccable design taste. It's a beautiful home and perfect for a family with children like us. Such a pleasure to have the opportunity to spend time in Harbour Island as a family over spring break! Our gracious host Karina helped us navigate our first visit to Touchstone and the island this spring. This special island retreat did not disappoint! We absolutely loved our first time in Harbour Island. The house is so well appointed and perfect for a mid-day vacation hammock nap, a good read on the porch or a family early dinner post the beach. Only steps away from the beach we found ourselves taking morning walks and mid-afternoon dips in the ocean. The pink sand is unbelievable as well as the water. The house is a short golf cart away from downtown where you can find restaurants, shops, Valentine's Marina and more. If you are looking for a little time out from life as a family - Touchstone is everything you would want an island family getaway to be! Thank you, Karina, for sharing your magical home with us!

The property is amazing and very well upkept. Housecleaning daily is amazing. Couple minute walk to the ocean. Will definitely book this again.

We cannot say enough great things about the Touchstone house. If you're looking for a place that feels like your own home, mere steps from the most beautiful beaches in the world, then this is your spot. Karina was always available to answer our questions the housekeepers/gardners were the most friendly (like everybody on the island). Our family of 4 was perfectly set up in this place with plenty of extra room to spare both inside and out. The design details are special and the functionality of everything from the living areas to the outdoor space were perfect. Our kids loved the outdoor shower, chasing small lizards up the palm trees, and just the overall low-key vibe of the Touchstone House. We will be back!

This was our 2nd time staying at Touchstone with our 2 kids and it was just as amazing as the first time. The house is beautiful, the location is amazing, and everyone is so friendly. I had seen pictures, heard stories, and read all the reviews, and Touchstone House still exceeded my expectations! First I have to mention how amazing the host Karina was before we even arrived.. we missed our flight to ELH due to weather delays and without us even asking, Karina was checking sites and making calls for hours and found us a private, chartered flight for less than we would have spent to get there on a commercial flight. Beyond appreciative of her going out of her way for us when she didn't have to. The house itself was just perfect for our family with 3 young children - ages 4, 6, and 7. The yard is perfect for the kids - looking for (and catching) lizards and they had a soccer ball and football, as well as everything else you could possibly need for the beach with kids. We spent most of our time at the house on the back patio - breakfast and coffee in the mornings listening to the ocean and roosters, afternoon reading, naps in the hammock (hubby), and a couple dinners off the grill under the string lights. And the beach is not even a 1 min walk. You walk out of the driveway and the beach access is right there. They have thought of everything. Karina and David were there to welcome us and we saw them a couple times during the week - amazing hosts and just all around amazing people. I honestly don't have one negative thing to say about our stay here and our week in Harbour Island. We will talk about this trip forever and look forward to our next visit!

The house, the proximity to the beach and our host were all fabulous. About as laid back and relaxing an experience as one could have. On day two , we rebooked for next year. Enough said!

Couldn’t recommend Touchstone more! It is a very special place that we have enjoyed our stay at now twice! We hope to keep returning year after year as our love for this place continues to grow!!! As a fellow homeowner in the Out Islands of the Bahamas (Abaco), when we began looking for a special place to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, we set our sights on an authentic, quaint original Bahamian rental. Touchstone and hosts Karina & David absolutely personify what we wanted on Harbour Island. The house drips of personalized and historical touches, convenience and old school Bahamian vibe. Fast internet, cold AC, an honor bar and a modern insanely stocked kitchen are married with classic furnishings, new linens, original art pieces, funky and cool antiques and family heirloom pieces in each room. And then there is the landscaping…….over the top. Fresh fruit trees and colossal coconut trees cast shadows on not one but four outdoor living spaces. It was literally tough to pick a place to drink coffee or have a cocktail! The beach is less than a 1 minute walk and the shopping & dining in Dunmore Town is a short 4 min golf cart ride. The owners were perfect at communication. I cannot endorse this house enough. We are looking for dates to return already.

We cannot say enough about this wonderful property and its wonderful owners. We have stayed in the cottage here before, but this was our first time in the house, and to say it was perfect for us is an understatement. It is in a perfect location to be so close to what this beautiful island offers but also so private at the same time is something that we have been unable to find before in our travels before staying at Touchstone. Touchstone can be described physically pretty well, as you can tell from other reviews, but experiencing the property is on another level. Morning coffee on the porches to late night card games with the family, there is truly a magic about this place that draws our family back again and again. We finally got the opportunity to meet Karina and David this year, and as you can tell from any correspondence you may have with them, they are truly good people, and have been extremely accommodating as well. Please do take their recommendations on Island activities, as we have been very happy with the excursions we have been on using them. Trying to find such a perfect place to stay for 3 children can be hard on an Island like Harbour Island, but we have found the perfect place, and I know that the memories that we have made already will be carried in my children's minds for the rest of their lives. We occasionally play the game of 'what was your favorite ... that we have ever done/went/etc?' and the Touchstone always ends up the winner. In case there's any confusion to whether or not we enjoyed our time here, we've already booked next year's trip, and the countdown has already begun.
