Centrally located and was stocked with everything we needed. A short walk to the beach where we enjoyed sunrise and sunset. Hosts made sure we made it on arrival day.

Well configured studio in quiet neighborhood in Poipu area. Its an easy walk to Baby Beach and close to some really good restaurants and shopping in the Poipu/Koloa area. Well stocked by a responsive host. We enjoyed 10 days here comfortably in July and could easily have stayed longer.

Perfect studio steps away from the ocean. Comfortable and clean with a private patio for grilling and dining. Easy parking in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

This cottage provides beaches and lots of things to do within a short walking distance. Great place to stay to take in Southern Kauai.

Fine,just smaller than we thought

Perfect place for our needs. Small but everything we needed. Really enjoyed the stay. If you have the opportunity, a fan in the bathroom would help with shower humidity. We will rent again when we return. Landlord did some nice extras that were greatly appreciated. Thanks

Our unit at EJ's Kauai Cove Cottages was just perfect for our stay, with a quick walk to the beach for a swim & sunsets. We were close to many restaurants & beaches with easy parking for our rental car right out front. Comfortable, clean & stocked with supplies. Thanks for the coffee! The cottage was "as-advertised" and didn't disappoint.

Great location close to everything in poipu! It was small but clean and had all the necessities. EJ was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. Enjoyed my stay!

My husband and I came for our first get-away without the baby (ok, he’s more of a toddler now) and this was the perfect location. EJ was super helpful when we had to change dates last minute. There is a thorough guide that gave us insight into everything close-by and we loved exploring from this less-crowded side of the island. There is an organic market within walking distance and the baby beach is adorable. One thing that I knew, but was a surprise to my husband who had only looked at pictures, is that this studio room is not a separate bungalow, but an attached row of three, so don’t be surprised that you share a wall with someone. We loved every second of our short stay and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Cozy yet roomy. Great island feel. Nice back patio where we ate breakfast every morning. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants but you still need a car. It’s Hawaii after all! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, kitchen well stocked. We don’t have one complaint.

The unit is small be well appointed. There is a small patio, which is enclosed by a fence with palm fronds overhead. My wife thought it was a bit enclosed. The location of the cottage is excellent, close to beaches and restaurants. If there were a view of the water or mountains, it would be great, but you need to venture outside the unit for those wonderful views. We loved going to Baby Beach, a short walk away, to watch the sunset.

The property is just as advertised and better. Great location and very clean. All of the supplies that you need and even coffee to carry you over until you get to Kauai Coffee Plantation to get some of your own. The property owner is great and will help you in any way if he can what a Great Get Away!!!!!!!

We loved staying here. Only thing we missed were ocean views from the property.

The Hibiscus Cottage certainly met our needs. For us, the missing component was any kind of “openness”. Everything, the curtains, has to be drawn for privacy. The nearest beach is about a block away so if you’re expecting to walk out the door and be on the beach, you’ll be disappointed. Again, because we were out and about everyday, it was fine for us.

Close to beach, cute shopping and eating centre, and short drive from airport. Great place for 2. Would highly recommend.

Cute place . But not "steps from the beach" as described. it's blocks and about a 10 minute walk. Very disappointed in that aspect. But all in all it's a cute place with a very comfortable bed! Good launching location for South and West side of island site seeing. Nice little patio ate outside twice, nice bbq. Even with the free standing air conditioning it was still a bit warm. But, still a nice clean little place.

My wife and I had a lovely time staying at this cozy beach cottage. We were quite happy with bow close we were to everything we needed and enjoyed the Hawaiian setting of he cottage.

Small but just fine for two people. If you do not need to be right on the beach this place is great. By car, Baby beach 1-2 mins, Poipu beach 4 min, shopping and good restaruants 1 min, Poipu village 3 min, have a Puka Dog, and Old Koloa Town 4-5.. Small air conditioner and fan keep the temps comfortable. Finally, for an old guy, SIX steps from the car to the front door. Aloha

My wife and I loved this property! Here are a few points of interest: The cooking facilities (hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, and grill) are adequate for basic meals. I used a grill mat for fish and chicken, worked great. There is a local fish market and small grocery store as well larger grocery stores in Lihue. The inside temperature mirrors the outside temperature. There is a standing A/C unit that works pretty well. The highs were in the 90's most of our stay. Closing the unit during the day did not help it stay cool. The owner does not want the A/C to be on when not there. The unit is very clean. Having lived in Hawai'i I am familiar with the many different occupants one might share their dwelling with. Overall we were very happy with this unit.

This cozy cottage had literally everything we needed for a perfect week in Kauai, from beach chairs and towels to coffee and chocolates. Nestled in a quiet corner of a small neighborhood within a 5-10 minute walk to Baby Beach, it was the perfect location for everything from walking to the beach to exploring the island not to mention being just down the road from the best Poke we’ve ever had (Makai!).

It is nice place and the owners are very responsive Pros: super clean, excellent internet speed, very well equipped (from wine glasses to beach towels), private Cons: the biggest issue for us was a lack of comfortable sitting. It's a small place and apart wicker chairs or kitchen bar stools there was nowhere to sit comfortably. The bed takes most of the room and sitting on the bed was not the best choice for comfort. Portable air conditioner offered no real relief to the humidity/heat even with use of an additional fan. Wall-to-wall thick carpeting added to the heat

The property is VERY clean, and it very close to all that the south shore has to offer. The owners were very friendly and made the check-in process very easy. Baby Beach is only a few blocks away (but it is truly a small beach geared more towards little ones), but we did like to go down there for an evening swim once the families cleared out. There is a small standing AC unit in the room which helps to take the edge off of the heat. The owners ask that you turn the unit off when you leave due to high electricity costs. Our only concern was that a housekeeper came into our room announced when we left to get coffee. We came back to our fan unplugged and the AC turned off. It wasn't a big deal since we understand where the owners are coming from with costs, but we felt a bit weird about having someone come into our honeymoon suite when we were only gone a short while. Overall, we truly did enjoy our stay and would recommend the Hibiscus cottage.

We loved our stay in hibiscus cottage! EJ let us check in a little early which was a huge help. It was great to meet him as you could tell how much love and care he puts into his home. The studio was clean and well appointed with all the creature comforts we needed- including some yummy local chocolate! We loved the area as it was a great starting point for hiking, beaches, a boat tour and nice restaurants. After a long hike, we got some tacos and sat in the back patio with lunch and a beer. A great stay!! Thanks.
