Eleven of us stayed in this large house. There was ample seating in the family room while we watched the Olympics. If we stayed in the house more, we would have used the ping pong table and the hot tub. The location of the house was perfect as we were close to the lodge which provided many activities. The house could use a bit of updating. Some new carpet comes to mind and maybe some lighter decor

Our family of 10 really enjoyed the house. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and grilling. The view from the deck, main living room, kitchen and dining room is spectacular! The house was clean and is in a great location. The kids, young and old, loved the hot tub. Overall the house worked out great but it could probably use some updates. The beds, bedding and bathrooms particularly. There are also some pretty bad squeaks in the main floor bedroom right above the basement bedroom where we were. We took the basement bedroom because that was the best room arrangement for our kids and families to be upstairs. All that being said, we wouldn't rule out a return trip to Discovery Place. I think it was a good value and none of these minor things dampened our absolutely wonderful time at both the house and in Breckenridge.

This property is an older house but the location is simply amazing. The views are beautiful. Very clean and fully furnished property. Plenty of room for the entire family. But, a 4x4 vehicle or all-wheel drive is mandatory for winter months to access this property. Great owner/property management communication.

Came out on spring break for some skiing. The location was not "ski in/ski out" but wasn't advertised as such......my point is, it's a great spot and close to town and was 1/2 the price of ski in ski out places and much roomier. I personally enjoyed the wonderful views of the mountains in the morning with my coffee! The hot tub is a nice touch as well. Will definitely come back to this place.

The property was great for the 10 of us, including 4 children. The property had baby gates in the laundry/storage room, which was very helpful to corral the 1.5 year old on the main floor (the kitchen, dining room, and main living room is up one flight of stairs).
The property is a quick drive to Peak 7 and 8. Make sure if you are there on a holiday or weekend to reserve parking there ahead of time if you want that quick drive to parking. Otherwise the gondola parking lot is about a 10 minute drive, so still very close.
The views from the living room are fantastic.

The kitchen had everything you could need to stay in and cook some meals, but close enough to town to go out. Weather was perfect and love the moose that were hanging out one day. The place was nice, close to peak 8 by car. We had a great time, especially since we had car troubles and were stuck at the house. The hot tub got good use. The house was bit dry, but we found the humidifiers, and that worked out. The kitchen has all the tools and pots and pans we needed.

We would highly recommend the Discovery Place rental property. It is in a beautiful, rustic, and peaceful setting, yet not far from entertainment locations. The house was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. There was plenty of room for guests to relax -- on the deck, in the hot tub, on the couches, playing table tennis, or visiting over a meal. Concerns were addressed in a timely manner by a considerate and friendly management staff. We enjoyed our stay and are extremely grateful that this location was available to us.

Outstanding view.
Outstanding view. Good location for the sightseeing and activities we did. The weather was perfect. Cool mountain air was so welcome after several weeks of over 100 degree heat in Texas. Although the altitude did cause a lot of huffing and puffing when climbing stairs or doing any type of exercise, mostly with those of us who are older. Enjoyed seeing a mother moose and her two calves walk right by the house twice while we were there. All in all we had a great family reunion. Only complaints were that the bed on the lower level was not very comfortable and the shower curtain needed to be cleaned or replaced. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very clean and well maintained home with comfy beds, comfy heating, screened windows to open for fresh mountain air and a deck to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. A bull moose visited while we were here and munched all the blue flowers around the house as we all stood watching him from the deck. We enjoyed the hot tub after a strenuous day playing games with the family! Hiking is close by and Dillon reservoir for kayaking. Thank you for sharing this great location with us!

Great spring break getaway! The house had everything we needed. We had one minor setback, reached out to owner via VRBO and they were there to help.
Property had a small stroller we used for our 3 year old when going into town. There were also a couple sleds on property the kids used almost everyday to enjoy sledding outside.
