A little cramped in the living room seating area for our group of 6, but the bedrooms were great and the property was clean and comfortable. Only 4 chairs on the veranda but had room for more. The veranda had a great view and we loved that it had access to the next unit's veranda as we were vacationing with another group.

Kauai was our second stop on Hawaiian journey. We loved everything about the house, the location, the easy checking in. It was perfect for 6 persons. Our only regret is we should have stayed longer. 4 nights was not enough. We strongly recommend it!

We are so happy with this condo! We wish we could have stayed here for our full two week vacation! The space accommodated our party of 6 perfectly. The kitchen was well equipped and the seating on the lanai is big enough for all of us to enjoy morning coffee sunrises! We have enjoyed many condos on the island and this is by far our favorite! Mahalo!

Great location and fabulous condo
We had an outstanding stay, you will not find a better location, steps from the beach or the pool. Amazing views and walking distance to places to eat and shopping. We did have an issue with some beach bugs, but the management company responded immediately. We will be back again!

Can’t beat the location.
Perfectly situated between Lihue and Kapa’a, with a lovely beach and pool closer than it looks in the listing pictures. The beach is not typical as it has a reef break, that fills a 2’ wading area. Lots of fun for the kids. Tons of turtles and fishermen to entertain as we sat at the pool.
We walked to Lydgate beach and Kapa’a. Grocery store less than a mile away and coconut marketplace, with shopping and dining down the block.
The unit itself was a perfect layout for our 6 adults and 2 small children. It also provides gorgeous views, ocean breezes and surf background noise. It was however, worn and dated. If you can get over that, you will enjoy the benefits of the location.

Can’t beat the location !
The beach and pool are closer than they appear in the pictures. If you walk past the logs there is a calm “lagoon” refreshed by the waves. Walking distance (<2 miles) to shopping, groceries, drug store and Kapaa.

Amazing Family Vacation
Great location, close to downtown Ka'paa, centrally located between North & South Shore as well as easy access to the airport. This place is very spacious, amazing view, a great pool and extremely comfortable beds. My family of 6 adults had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the spacious lanai and watching the waves roll in on the beach. The beach right in front of the property is not swimmable, however the beach to the far right has a nice beach to swim and surf in. We enjoyed watching the wind surfers as well.
There are also some great hikes 10-15 mins away and many breakfast options that are walkable (fresh malasadas).
Thank you for your hospitality. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Review of Awapuhi Hale Sunrise 2F
Beautiful property- very spacious. Loft bedroom shower was not very clean and the upstairs bathroom had no soap, shampoo, conditioner or Kleenex.
The thing that really really upset us was that in the kitchen silverware drawer there was a fingernail (fake one) but very disturbing. This means the silverware was not truly clean and we felt all the dishware had to be washed before using. I can send a picture to you- it really really grossed us out. It is still very disturbing.

Great view
The ocean view was amazing as was the pool. The condo was nice but needs to be updated. The beds were super comfortable. Had some issues with parking, broken lights, and broken tv. Had a difficult time contacting the rental host. They never answered the phone. Left messages and sometimes they called back and other times they didn’t. We had cockroaches in the kitchen at night. Unfortunately the unit below us was being remodeled during our entire stay. Twelve hours a day of banging, sawing, and hammering did not make for a peaceful vacation.

Beautiful View But Some Flaws
We had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. Enjoyed the sunrises on the nice comfortable deck. The bakery across the street was amazing as was the Lava Lava Beach Club.
The condo was nice and the beds were very comfortable. Overall the condo is dated and needs to be freshened up a bit. We had issues with cockroaches in the kitchen at night. We tired to report this to the Rental Host but they never answered their phone which was an ongoing issues with them. It was very unfortunate that for our entire visit there was a remodel going on in the unit below us. The loud banging, sawing, and hammering was a bummer. They worked seven days a week, twelve hours a day.
We were told there would be ample parking but that was not the case at all. The remodel crew took the extra spots and often parked in our assigned spot.
We enjoyed our stay in Kauai but will stay some place else next time.

Great condo
Location was great. View was spectacular with the ocean right there and beautiful sunrises. Pool on oceanside that was clean and well maintained. The grounds were beautiful with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Inside, the beds were very comfortable with a TV in each room. Accessible beach chairs and coolers. The lani was nice and big with comfortable sitting. Only downside was there were no spices, foil or baggies etc in kitchen and no laundry soap/ dryer sheets for starters. There was a lovely bakery across the street. And there was a locked gate for entrance
to the units. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. The view was worth every penny and then some!!

Great location and pool
All 3 couples enjoyed our stay at this condo. The sunrises, pool and location were great. We had to call for a few minor repairs and they were promptly addressed. It is a beautiful condo but could use a little refresh. Particularly the living room furniture and sliding glass doors. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation
This was a family trip for my husband and myself, our adult daughter and her husband, our adult son and his girlfriend. This was a perfect location. Very comfortable. Relaxing. Great morning view! It had all the amenities we needed from beach towels, to a cooler, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas. We will be back!

We were very pleased with our condo rental. It was a little hard to find in the dark when we arrived. A lighted sign would help a lot. Once inside we were very impressed with the spacious layout of the condo. The view is breathtaking and we enjoyed watching the surf and turtles each and every day. I believe we found our new rental whenever we return to Kauai. Shopping is very close by and restaurants easily accessed from this location.

The Beauty was the view from the back of the condo. It was spectacular. The Beast was the very limited on-site parking and getting into and out of the condo area. The condos are located in an area that is VERY difficult to get in and out of by car. It was actually dangerous trying to get out onto the main road.

2F had some flaws
Problems in unit 2F
● TV in front bedroom had no operational remote. Asked for assistance, guy came twice and still didn't
fix nor did he bring batteries for it. Cable died once as well.
● Toilet backed up and there were no plungers in any of the three bathrooms.
● No large serving spoons, frying pans or spatula. Only three steak knives for a house that sleeps six. Lacking in basic necessities. There was 1" by 2" cube of soap for each bathroom which houses two people each. Nothing for the shower.
● AC units not able to turn off. Guy came to fix. Still didn't fix. Different rooms work intermittently at best.
Over all the unit needs updating. Old funky cabinets and counters in all bathrooms and kitchen. I've stayed in better. Lovely location though. There are other units that are nicer at 366 Papaloa Road.

Relaxing family vacation

Amazing property with spectacular views
This is a gorgeous and spacious property with beautiful ocean views! Just steps to the pool and the beach with a large balcony space to enjoy the views. Super clean, 3 bedroom 3 bath unit was very spacious. We also appreciated the beach chairs, ice chest and boogie boards that were available for our use.

Good and bad
Property and location were great and as advertised. Very expensive with tons of miscellaneous fees added on. Almost doubled the price of the rent.
And all the problems never got fixed. All we got was ‘sorry’. No ice, no cold water.....we gave up reporting problems

Beach front paradise
This place has an amazing view, a great pool and wonderfully comfortable beds. We spent tons of time on our patio watching the waves roll in.

GREAT location...but...
This place is in a great location, right on a small beach overlooking the ocean, close to lots of good places to eat, and centrally located between Lihue and Kapa'a. However, the place was not clean when we arrived. There was mold in all the bathrooms and kitchen sink, the floors were not mopped, and the countertops needed to be wiped down. The rug in the living room had stains all over it and the up stairs carpet had stains too. We can understand that we rented right after Kauai opened up to travelers and the place probably sat empty over the last year due to COVID, but that doesn't excuse not cleaning the place with a +$500 cleaning fee. We stayed 1 month and asked for a mop as we didn't mind mopping the unit and they delivered the mop to a different unit; we ended up just purchasing our own mop. The app that is used to rent the property and communicate to the property management takes forever to load. The place also needs some upgrades everywhere, e.g. kitchen, dishware, bathrooms. The toilets' need the flappers or ball valves replaced as they more times than not would not close and the water would just run. Overall, it was a nice place to stay as the location is fantastic, though with the rental price being on the high end, the place needs upgrades and should be clean upon arrival.

Right in the middle
The unit had amazing ocean views, being right on the water. The beach in front is not swimmable or walkable, though. Location in the middle of the island near airport made getting to both north and south sides of the island convenient. The unit was functional, but dated. There is no hot tub as was mentioned in the listing and the pool was cold and murky. There were a few things that did not work properly (dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor) and calls to property management company were eventually returned with voice mails saying they got our calls, but nothing was ever done. They did allow us to stay until 11am on check out day which was appreciated. There is a great TV and the living room has a cool nautical feel to it. The master bedroom loft was spacious. All in all I would say this unit is good for a family/group looking to be near convenient things like shopping centers and Waipu Valley.

Unexpected twists, but still lovely
We arrived on the precipice of a major tropical storm. So the pristine water and calm environment was sadly, not to be had. However, with a little door gap bracing for wind and rain coming in, we felt very safe inside our tropical home. As our stay went on, the weather improved, but we were sadly unable to enjoy the beach due to storm debris and run-off. Also, the pool was much too cold for any of us to get in, which was kind of a bummer, but certainly not a fatal flaw. The sunrises were spectacular every morning and the ferocity of the ocean provided endless entertainment. We did find the condo's location to be an excellent jumping off point for all of our other island adventures, equally distant to both the North Shore Princeville Zip-line adventure and the South Side beaches, Kipu Ranch Off-Road Adventure, and Waimea Canyon drive. The nearby Coconut Marketplace had convenient restaurants, shops, and shave ice to keep us busy on those long lazy downtimes I worked in to our vacation since we didn't get to enjoy the beach. We also enjoyed renting bikes and riding up the nearby bike trail so much we did it twice! Once on a day being intermittently pelted with sideways rain and once on a beautiful sunny day. Unfortunately, all of the hiking trails were too dangerous due to the storm, but I did hear there were some lovely trails nearby. So, all in all, we had a lovely stay. The RentalHost app folks were very responsive, especially during the brief power outage during the storm, so thank you very much! Mahalo!

Even better than it looks
Gorgeous property on a pristine stretch of coastline. Huge master bedroom upstairs and upgrades all around. A small need was identified and was remedied promptly. Everyone in our party was happy. Having Passion Bakery steps away for coffee and pastries each morning was icing on the cake. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Close to everything
We loved our stay. The view, accommodations, and nearby activities were perfect. I truly miss waking up every morning to having coffee on the lanai. The rental host app is very user friendly. The property has everything you need. We loved Street burger and passion bakery across the street. We will definitely return.

Lovely location in Kauai! Pretty nice place to stay, not modernized but functional. Home had not been cleaned well, dirty toilets. Dryer would not dry very well & apparently the cleaning staff thought it was okay to put laundered bath & beach towels in drawers. Refrigerator water line did not disperse water, this was reported to maintenance, they said they would replace the filter but never came back. Also a notice was put on our door less than a few hours of saying that they would be spraying the interior for bugs. NOT acceptable to use chemicals when tenants are in the property, we requested that they not enter the property until we leave & one of the owners said it was the law that they treat the property. What a no I wouldn’t stay at this location again. Too expensive & no price concession for things not working properly.
