Our family vacationed for a week and we were exceedingly happy with the location (subway is mere steps away plus close to the River, shopping and restaurants), building amenities (outdoor pool, free Starbucks, 1/2 court basketball, and dog park),and apartment amenities (beautiful views, comfortable beds, pool towels, laundry, separate upstairs suite). Everything was great and the apartment was spotlessly clean! However, If you are a late sleeper bring eye masks. The east facing apartment is bright in the mornings!

The views were spectacular! The property was really nice and clean! The location was great and walkable to lots of things! And the owners were some of the best we have worked with. They provided very detailed instructions and were very responsive to any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Had a great visit to Chicago, largely in part to our stay at Grand Plaza. Great place. Comfortable. Close to everything. Grocery store in the lobby. Easy access. James and Jeri-Lou are attentive and organized owners. Highly recommended.

Cannot find a better location than this one in Chicago. Unit was spacious and clean with phenomenal views of the city. All the amenities one could need. Highly recommend.

Excellent stay at the Grandplaza penthouse. Lovely views and a spacious and well equipped apartment. Great communication with owners and wonderful location, next to grocery, restaurants etc. Construction in Chicago makes driving challenging which was the only issue with our stay and independent of this great location. We would stay again.

Property is great! Views are incredible, owner communication was prompt and courteous, location is perfect. We have stayed in this building before and love how convenient it is to Michigan ave and the grocery store. Safe and secure building. If I had to list a negative, I’d suggest removing the queen bed and putting a king bed in the downstairs bedroom. I’d also put a few more lights in the main sitting area. Was a lovely apartment and definitely would and will stay here again.

Great location, great penthouse.

The owner charged us for something we absolutely know we didn’t do- so we were very disappointed - apparently there was a stain on the comforter- however we never sat on the bed and disputed this extra expense - also towels were very old and used

This place was absolutely amazing!! The view is stunning, and the suite was well kept and stocked with all the necessities and more. It was so cozy and inviting. You couldn't ask for a better location. James and Jeri-Lou are wonderful hosts, very helpful and informative to make our stay go so smoothly. Would definitely stay here again. This penthouse was as described with great views and everything we needed to feel at home while away. The hosts were very easy to communicate with making our stay effortless and stress free.

Good location, walking distance to most attractions. Very clean, enough supplies if you want to cook ( we are mostly eat out).

Our five night stay was excellent. We had the opportunity to show Chicago to friends from North Carolina who had never been before, and what an absolutely perfect property this was to do so from. Location could not have been better, the two story penthouse was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, well appointed and immaculate. And the view...just stunning! Parking was also a breeze with discounted parking in the lot located just around the corner. Red Line subway stop was 100 feet from the main door. Everything was so convenient. We will stay here again, for sure.

Cool location, right downtown, huge windows in the middle of all the action. Hosts were right on top of things, professional and pleasant. Would definitely come again!

Great location loved the balcony!

The location of this condo is amazing and everything is nice and clean. Also, the pool area is amazing! But I will say that for such a high cost, I expect a bit more luxury. The place is definitely dated (kitchen/bathrooms) and there is no recessed lights (only lamps). It was overall good, but again, if I'm paying so much, I expect some of these modern upgrades.

Took my 3 adult children to Chicago for 4 days. Best summer city in the world. This condo is perfectly located, incredible view, all the amenities and far better than any hotel situation. Owner was fantastic in all communications. This is exactly how VRBO should work every time. Terrific place, terrific service and great trips. Could not give a better review!

First and foremost excellent host communication. Location of property and amenities are fantastic. Walking distance to most of what you will want to experience. I have stayed in a few different penthouses in the city but this ones location by far has been the best. Highly recommended.

The apartment is great, everything is as shown on the listing. This place can comfortably host 6 people. Only complaint is the pillows (too bulky and hard) and the check in and check out times. Standard is 3pm and 12pm.

The place itself is pretty rad. Tons of light, huge balcony, amazing views. It's walkable to tons of places and the employees at the front are really friendly. While it does show signs of wear/rental, it's very minor and really doesn't take away from the experience at all. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We travel here from sunny Houston each year to Christmas shop and get some cold weather or maybe even some snow. This year we decided to go the VRBO option vs multiple rooms at the Four Seasons. We are glad we did as we were able to really enjoy our time together. For this penthouse the owners take pride in their property and do everything possible to provide an experience of what it might be like to live the high rise life and experience the neighborhood while still being close to all the action. Excellent walking location to the river and Michigan avenue. Even more importantly, we were able to come together as a family more often than if staying in the hotels as the living area and dining area are very well situated. We will definitely choose to stay here again.

Stayed with my family and found the place to be great for us. It is central to lots of things and the views and the balcony were outstanding. The owners were very communicative and I thought the check in process and the doorman were simple.

Honestly, we can't say enough about how amazing a place this is to stay. The unit, the views, the location ... our only complaint is that we are now spoiled and will never not try to stay here (or none of the other Penthouse Units in the building) when we visit Chicago. 😁 Also can't say enough good things about the owners/lessors. If you are looking for a place to stay in Chicago, look no further!

We greatly enjoyed the ease of this location; it is within walking distance to various bars, restaurants, and shopping, but also an easy Uber/Lyft ride to museums and the beach. The Jewel grocery downstairs was an awesome convenience and we found it clean and reasonably priced. It was great just leaving our car and using Lyft, and the parking was priced a little bit lower than what you would expect in Chicago. The beds, pillows, and linens were clean and comfy and the entire place was tidy and clean, but cozy and a nice place to hang out--we didn't really want to leave! Communicating with the property mangers was easy and they were very friendly. And the residents in the building were all really friendly and welcoming to us--and there were lots of cute dogs living there! The building felt safe and secure, which was important to us with two kids. And the views are amazing--it is worth it just for that. Would definitely stay here again!

This Penthouse is the right way to enjoy Chicago. The amenities are great and the views are memorable. We were within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do downtown. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
