The apartment is upstairs at the very end of Rundle Street in Kent Town, so it’s walking distance to Rundle Mall, various shops and facilities. The beds were very comfortable, and it was great to have ducted air conditioning on a 35° day! The price was also so much more reasonable than anything else on offer for five people. Hot water was good, and there was also filtered water on tap for those who aren’t fans of Adelaide’s water.

The instructions about how to find the place weren’t terribly clear, and the building itself does not have the street number of our apartment out the front – which was initially confusing. The living area was also a little small when we were all in it together. Probably better for four than five, but it worked for a weekend.

Good linen, good water pressure, nice beds. Good heating systems. Nice to have water in fridge. Big tvs.

Mouldy picture in second double bedroom. Mouldy chopping board ( I think last people didn’t dry it before putting it away maybe? Also wet plates in drawer) Only sharp knife was a fish filleting knife - perhaps buy some little Victorinox knives.

Due to a very late booking at this venue and the security bond not being included in the booking fee and on a Friday night, when we arrived we were told our payment was still pending and we’re denied access forcing us to seek emergency accomodation at an additional expense, the manager rang us to querie our attendance and said a late cancellation would see that the money would not be refundable, even though we did not cancel nor did we not show up, We were then told by the manager who was happy to shift the blame back onto booking.com. At present we have had no response to a complaint letter from booking.com regarding money returns since the original money we were told by the bank was still in internet abyss in ‘pending’ status and booking.com seems to not respond to emails but still thinks that good publicity and ratings will given. CAN NOT in anyway shape or form give a good reference for either booking.com or for the Cecil apartments based on this experience. 😡😡😡

Great position and comfortable for 6 people. Loved the old world vibe.

Not a big one but there was a musty smell throughout the place upon arriving and after being out. We had to air the place out each time
