Great family Beach home
4 Schlafzimmer / 3. 5 Bad Haus mit Schlafraum. Haus schläft 10 - 12 bequem. Es ist der perfekte Ort für Zusammenkünfte mit der Familie und Freunden. Die offene Küche auf der oberen Ebene sowie der Wohn- und Essbereich sind hell, warm und einladend. Ein oberes Deck erstreckt sich über die gesamte Vorderseite des Hauses und verfügt über mehrere Schaukelstühle und einen Essbereich. Das Haus hat teilweise Meerblick und ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Strand entfernt. Merkmale des Hauses: obere Ebene verfügt über Master-Suite mit Kingsize-Bett, TV, angeschlossenes Bad, großen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, Zugang zum Deck; 3 weitere Schlafzimmer auf dieser Ebene: zwei mit Queensize-Betten und eines mit 2 Einzelbetten. Diese drei Schlafzimmer teilen sich ein komplettes Bad im Flur und ein WC. Im Untergeschoss befindet sich ein großer offener Raum mit zwei Etagenbetten, einer Couch, einem Fernseher und einem Spieltisch. Auf dieser unteren Ebene befindet sich ein komplettes Badezimmer. Die Außendusche befindet sich ebenfalls auf dieser Ebene. Das Haus verfügt über Holzböden. Weitere Ausstattungsmerkmale: 3 Fernseher, Internet, 3 Golfwagen für 4 Personen, 5 Fahrräder plus Jugendfahrrad, gut ausgestattete Küche, Strandspielzeug, Kajaks (2 Einzel- und 1 Doppel), Drehgestellbretter, Pokertisch. Haustierfreundlich. Die befristete Mitgliedschaft im Bald Head Island Club ist gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr möglich.

Wonderful house that is very comfortable. 3 Golf carts was super helpful. The location is perfect to the beach and golf club.

Baldhead Island is the best beach in North Carolina for nature lovers! We enjoyed the many bicycles for exploring the island. A very short Walk to the beach. The great room kitchen dining room combo is Perfect for cooking family meals, and hanging out with everyone.

We’ve enjoyed this family friendly beach home for the second time. We’ve vacationed at BHI for many years, and this home is one of our favorites due to location and inviting home.

We had a fabulous stay at this charming classic old bald head home. It’s a home. The owners take so much pride in stocking this home with amazing items. How many times have you rented a home and 1/2 the items don’t work? Not here! Loads of bikes, working clean grill, well stocked kitchen. We loved the open floor plan for our family. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch every morning, and using all the games provided by the owners in the evening. From this location we could hear the ocean but could not see it. However, walking or driving to a beach access was very easy. I would skip membership to the BHI club. They cater so heavily toward full time members I thought it was a waste of $. The beach is too beautiful to sit at the pool. Don’t skip Drinks at Jules and bevy’s and pizza at Wisp. Check out jailhouse too. Remember to take as much over in plastic bins as the grocery store is some what limited and pricy. Have all the fun on this special island!

This is a great family beach home. The property owners are very easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. The house is extraordinarily well equipped, and was spotless when we arrived. The home accommodates a large family with multiple bedroom and great gathering room and large kitchen.

We had the BEST time at BHI at the Hatchlings House. Sharon and Jim were such amazing hosts, checking in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. We were particularly impressed with the stocked kitchen, game closet, beach toys, bikes, and vacation supplies. Truly, it has everything you could ever need in a vacation home. We had four kids between our families, and they enjoyed the room downstairs with the bunk beds. I also appreciated all of the extra special touches they accommodated for our dog Yoshi, including the cute doggy towel. Would not hesitate to recommend this house to any new or seasoned BHI traveler!

This house was everything we needed for a high school girlfriend getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house is adorable inside. We loved all the beach decorations. We enjoyed exploring the island and having multiple golf carts. The fall weather was perfect for walks on the beach.

The house and hospitality of Sharon did not stop to amaze us for the duration of our stay at this wonderful house. From the welcome bag with goodies and waters, to the comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and supplies, to toys, books and bicycles galore. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and after 10 years coming to the island, this house was hands down our favorite! Sharon, thanks for all you did to make our vacation amazing.

Despite some sketchy weather early on, we had a wonderful visit to BHI. The house was a perfect fit with plenty of room for our family and the Lightbourne's could not have been more accommodating to ensure a great experience. We will definitely be back!

We had a large group with adults and young kids/infants and we absolutely loved the house. Everything was clean and extremely well stocked as advertised. We loved the bikes and sand toys/beach chairs for everyone. It was so helpful having 3 golf carts. Location was awesome and very close to the market and beach access. Property was everything we hoped for and more! The owners are spectacular hosts and extremely responsive to communications. We had an amazing week with all our family whom travels from all over the country to gather for our one week together a year! A spectacular time was had by all! The house is very clean and well stocked. The decor was beautiful and the house had so much natural light. It was a perfect beach house feel. The property owners were easily accessible and very helpful. I would rent this house again and again.

We found the house very accommodating for our adult family. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Bikes, kayaks and beach supplies were enjoyed. First time for some to see a loggerhead turtle lay eggs.

We had the best week at the Hatchling house. It was well stocked with plenty of kitchen items, kids toys/equipment & beach supplies (chairs, bikes, sand toys, etc). It is very close to beach access & market/shops. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a great week!

We traveled to Bald Head for Memorial Day weekend with our son and his friends. Although the weather did not cooperate, we have a great visit. The house was well stocked and extremely clean and comfortable. The layout gave us plenty of room to spread out and the boys had their own space to hang out downstairs. I would highly recommend renting this house and would do so again.

We had a wonderful time! Much appreciated were the ‘extras’ like games, puzzles, books, beach towels, bikes, and there were plenty of chairs. Comfy beds and pillows, exceptionally well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable couches and chairs. You can’t beat the location. We also enjoyed seeing a painting bunting in the tree every day 😊

We loved our family getaway at Hatchling House. Location was ideal as we were close to the beach, market and BHI club. House was bright and airy, and we loved the open family room/kitchen and large porch. Very comfortable and clean house with great communication from owners.

we had 4 adults +7 teenagers in this home and it worked perfectly. Very well stocked kitchen and game closet, beach towels provided, good bikes, enough golf carts for the size of the group. One golf cart is extremely slow so it's best not to overload that one with people or gear, but nothing really to complain about. Easy to get to the beach which was perfect for the teenagers. Would highly recommend!

Great house for family of four (and dog) to enjoy quiet trip to the beach. Lucked out with terrific weather during our stay and the location was excellent for many beach points, the market, and BHI club. The open living area made the time even more relaxing after full day of activities.
Will definitely consider again for future BHI trips. Communication with owners was easy and guidebook at house was clear on the various bells & whistles…..

This is a great house close to the beach and well maintained/renovated. This is one of the original Bald Head beach homes from before power or ferry access to the island. The owner is fantastic with great communication. Every possible item is clearly marked. Great space for extended family

Wonderful house with plenary of room for family with kids. Very clean and easy check in and check out. Great kitchen and open living room and bedrooms are tucked away and is quiet even when when people are in living room. Loved our stay!!

The house was exactly as described. We loved the location also. It was close to the market and the BHI club, and a short drive to both sides of the island as well. We loved having lots of bikes to choose from, multiple golf carts, and the great room in the house was our favorite. There were lots of games and plenty of space. The owners were very pleasant, helpful and responsive! And they left us some sweet items from the island to welcome us, along with some starter items for the house. We enjoyed our break so very much. Thank you for a great time on Bald Head!

This house was everything we thought it would be and more. The open spaces and well-stocked kitchen were perfect, and there was more than enough sleep space. The porch was a great place to have a meal or just hang out and enjoy the beauty around us.
We especially appreciated that there were bikes and beach chairs for all 8 of us. We are already talking about our next trip to BHI and intend to stay at this beautiful house.

We just spent a week at the Hatchling House and my only regret is that we didn’t book another week. The home, one of the first built on the island, is perfect for families with kids and is a one minute cart ride to South Beach and very short trips to East Beach, the Marina, and the market. We hope to stay there again soon.

We loved everything about this house! It was clean bright and spacious, exactly as depicted in the photos. The beds were comfortable and plentiful. It was a short walk to the beach but we also have the option of golf carts and plenty of bikes. It was awesome to have three golf carts and also kayaks for use in the marsh. We had a fantastic week and hope to rent this house again.

One-of-a-kind BHI beach house!
Hatchling house has a traditional beach house vibe with all the modern amenities you could hope for. The house has been beautifully updated over the years as this was the 4th house on BHI. The owners provide a binder with the history of the house and BHI with photos dating back to the early "generator" days of BHI. The house is well equipped with everything you need for the beach (chairs, towels, etc.) just bring your Shibumi. The kayaks are awesome to explore the creek with and is a HUGE plus of this house as not many houses on BHI provide one kayak let alone 3 kayaks (with enough seats for 4 people to explore the creek). The house has a perfect location... convenient to the market, East Beach, South Beach, and both clubs. Great house. Highly recommend.

Wonderful week at beautiful Bald Head Island
We loved our week staying at the Hatchling House. It was a perfect location. The beach access was an easy walk and very short golf cart ride to lovely beach with few people. The golf carts made touring the island fun and easy. We loved the marsh overlook in the evening to see the dozens of birds coming to settle in for the night. The trails and the Turtle Conservancy were fun for all.
The house is perfect for extended families with a well equipped kitchen, many books and games, sand toys, bikes,etc.
We loved the deck in the morning and in the evening for the sunset.
Communication with the owners was good and they responded quickly to questions.
Thank you for a terrific vacation home!

Fantastic family retreat
Couldn’t have had a better experience with the Hatchling House! House is exactly as described in the listing: furnished comfortably, clean and well kept. Walking distance to the beach but it’s too much fun for the kids to not take the golf carts.
Only recommendation I’d have is if guests are interested in utilizing the available clubs on the island they need to book a temporary membership ASAP as they sell out. For clarity, that has NOTHING to do with the property but is a great perk that could be missed.

This was our 4th time at BHI and this was our favorite place so far! Beautiful, spacious living room, dining area, and kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, as well as the bathrooms. Plenty of sleeping room for the 10 people we had in our group. Great location! We would definitely stay here again.
