Stewart Cottage Beautiful Beachfront 6 Bedroom/4 Bath Home. Accommodates 12
Dieses Haus hat 6BR / 4Bäder. Das Schlafzimmer befindet sich im Erdgeschoss und verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett und ein Vollbad. Unten hat 2BR mit 2 Einzelbetten in jedem und 1BR mit einem vollen Bett und Bad mit Dusche (keine Wanne). Es gibt auch ein Hauptbad auf dieser Etage. Im Obergeschoss verfügt über 2BR mit jeweils 2 Einzelbetten und einem Hauptbad. Es gibt auch ein Wohnzimmer im Obergeschoss mit Fenstern auf der Vorderseite für einen schönen Blick auf das Meer.
Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein offenes Wohn- / Esszimmer / eine Küche. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Herd / Ofen und Kühlschrank. Alle Utensilien und Kochgeschirr zur Verfügung gestellt.
Weitere Annehmlichkeiten umfassen eine Waschmaschine / Trockner, Kabel-TV, einen Videorecorder und WLAN. Es gibt eine private Terrasse auf der Rückseite und ein Grill ist vorhanden.

We just returned from our stay at the Stuart cottage. We had a great family vacation, so much so that we didn’t want to leave. We hope to stay there in the future.

I highly recommend renting the Stewart Cottage for your next family trip, fur family too! I travel quite a bit (work, vacation & workcations) and I can honestly say that Stewart Cottage has been my favorite place to stay on Jekyll Island. I will only continue to request this rental when I go to Jekyll Island and will refer (have referred to several people already) anyone going to Jekyll Island to the Stewart Cottage! I took my family of 10 plus fur babies on this vacation.
Everyone from ages 9 - 82 years old had such a wonderful time and loved this property plus the wonderful sea breeze and continuous ocean waves are so relaxing!
The Stewart Cottage is such a very convenient location with plenty of parking and easy access to the beach. This property is an older house that has been well taken care of by the family, so no flashy bells or whistles but the location, calmness, space, and complete relaxation that you have while staying here is worth every penny. The whole ambience of this property is a house for your family and your pets to enjoy. Plus the nightly visits from the deer are an additional bonus!
And I want to add that Jim is completely the most wonderful host! We now consider him part of our family!

Based on the first picture we thought the beach access was right from the house so we were sad to see it was not BUT the beach access was only 500 feet and the home was lovely. Very spacious and we really enjoyed it.
If we return to Jekyll we will stay here again !

The property is dated, but some updates have been made. it feels like you are staying at the family hide away. The views are beautiful and we were happy to have several island deer visit in the backyard. Easy beach and bike path access.

Nice location, well stocked kitchen with amenities, furniture and bed were all nice. If someone would do some minor changes, ie replace burned out light bulbs, fix sliding door so it will lock, replace broken blind and stop the leak in the upstairs bathroom.. it would be first class! Except for minor repairs that are needed, excellent!

This place is literally on the beach! Want to see the ocean, or a fever of rays feeding? Just walk through the sliding doors of the living room. The layout is fantastic for multiple families doing together time at the beach. The walk to the beach is so short, it’s not some epic scheduling event. Go when you want to.
We had some issues when we were there, but the owner was extremely responsive! I think most of our issues were just not reported by previous tenants.
This property is huge and can easily accommodate 3 separate families, while affording space to disconnect from the craziness. Loved it, and would book again!

This home was like staying at your family home - where you could just snuggle down, enjoy playing outside or read a good book. It had everything you could need on vacation without being so perfect and plush ( like some vacation homes) that you were afraid you would mess something up.
Communication was great. Jim was a pleasure to work with. The view was astounding and the location could not have been better! What a treasure. We will be back!

The description of the house is honest. You should not expect shiny and new BUT everything else about this house is perfect for a family gathering on the beach near all that Jekyll has to offer. Plenty of seating both upstairs and down. The kids had a blast in the yard and access to the beach could not have been closer. Beds were comfy, linens and towels were a good quality and the kitchen had everything you could need to keep everyone fed without having to go out for every meal. We enjoyed every minute and hope to come back someday soon.

We had 11 people for Thanksgiving and it worked out great. The location was great with beach access a short walk away, and plenty of room for our dog to run. The house is spacious and the kitchen has a good assortment of pots, pans, and utensils. The house is a little worn as described in the listing but everything worked and was clean.

The house was very clean and well stocked with supplies ! The beds could have been more comfortable we took the full size bed and it was squeaky and lumpy , but the house was perfect my husband is a builder and he said it’s a very well made house !!

My college roommates and I along with our children stayed here for our annual summer reunion. It was perfect for US. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy catching up. The weather was great and Stewart Cottage had everything we needed. It is right on the beach.

Property is just as the pictures show. The property manager was great to work with. Had a snafu of the house not being cleaned upon arrival but once the property manager was informed, he made calls, got someone in to clean and made it right. Location is right off the beach and so close to all of the island's features.

The location of this property worked well for our family. The house is close to beach access and bike path, however the November 2022 hurricane destroyed two of the closest beach access ramps/stairs. The bathrooms are original to the home construction and the upstairs bathroom should be listed as a half-bath because the shower/tube hot water doesn't work. Overall this didn't impact our stay. We had a great time.

Amazing location! Walk out the door to view a pounding surf and walk or bike the paved bike trail along the waterside. Spacious 1957 ranch house with nice view upstairs and downstairs. Surrounded by southern oaks but close to wide open sky spaces for cloud watching ,sunrises ,star and moon gazing. Quiet neighborhood easy to access to restaurants. The Wharf was good as was the Mexican restaurant Tortuga Jack . Property manager helpful and responsive.

Great location
This is a positive but honest review. This home is in need of some time and attention in many aspects. It needs upgrades, repairs and a deep cleaning. It is an older home with lots of character and you can feel the history which is a huge part of the island. If you are picky and cannot overlook a few things, this is not the home for you. The listing photos gave us the impression the home had a direct path to the beach which it does not. The beach entrance was about 500ft away, so it was still convenient. The home has plenty of space to accommodate a large group. Our first night a deer and fawn were in the yard. The home is at the entrance of a bike path and a short walk across the lawn there is a swing and seats under the beautiful oak trees. Driftwood, shopping, St. Andrews Beach, Shark Tooth Beach, The Wharf and the Sea Turtle Hospital were all with a 5-10 min drive. St. Simons was about a 30 min drive. We saw dolphins, turtles, a gator and so many other things and really enjoyed our stay. Jekyll is a very peaceful area and is perfect for families or those who want to escape the typical beach crowds.

Spacious, clean and comfortable
Our stay was for three nights. We enjoyed that we had plenty of space for all (5 adults, five kids), the lawn and beach access were nice; owner supplied charcoal for the (Weber) grill; deer came to the lawn; access, parking and location were fine. The directions to the place on VRBO are incorrect. Spare toilet tissue was inadequate. So, use GPS and bring back-up TP.

Great area for toddlers to roam!
We stayed here as part of our transition from Disney back to Tennessee life! This is a great place to relax and stroll on the sidewalks and beach. The backyard is great for letting out toddler energy and hanging in a hammock. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable.

Perfect location, plenty of space
We had an amazing time here! The property is quiet with a nice view of the ocean. There is a backyard area (not fenced in) that was great for our dog who also loved his trip! The location is amazing, right near a path that leads you along the ocean. We rented bikes from the hotel next door (great if they’re available but there are other bike rental places on the island) and rode to Jekyll Island Club & drift wood beach without a problem. The owner was VERY accommodating allowing us and early check in and out which was so helpful with our flight times. Perfect place to stay with dogs for a reasonable price on Jekyll Island!

Family birthday getaway
We enjoyed our stay at Stewart Cottage very much. The location was excellent, very short walk to the boardwalk to Beach and the ocean view from within the house was great. Very well stocked with everything needed for a short stay. Loved the upstairs living area with bright skylights, having the two living areas was great for our family of six adults and four children. This is not a fancy house, but it is comfortable and not fussy. The beautiful Oaks in the yard made a perfect spot for our attempted family portrait! We saw a deer in the yard on two occasions. Walk to the Beach House restaurant was just a couple of minutes. Overall a great stay to celebrate my Son's 40th birthday!

Half marathon stay
We went down for the Jekyll marathon (sadly cancelled due to the storm) and the house was perfect! Right on the course path and large enough for our group to spread out - since the Sunday race was cancelled a lot of runners ran it Saturday (including myself) - it was great to be able to cheer folks on as they went by and to relax and stretch in the back yard with a view of the ocean. We definitely want to return with more family and friends!

Pre Christmas get away.
We loved the location. The outside beauty of the trees. The view. The proximity to the bike path. We loved that we had 6 bedrooms. It was unusual to only have one tv and it may have specified that but we didn't notice. But we were so busy we hardly noticed. It is an older home but we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely rent again.

This wonderful property is on the beach- view wise and access to the beach is very close . Communication with the Host was pleasant and quick. The bathroom in the house need a refresh- but the beds are comfortable, the towels soft and the location is wonderful. Close to the Beach House restaurant, on the bike path and short distance to a beach access. Would recommend.
