We thoroughly enjoyed this home! It’s the perfect size for a couple, or even a family of 3 or 4. It was perfect for our senior dog who can’t do a lot of steps now. We were able to easily walk all over Manteo’s historic district, and loved sitting in the yard every evening. Poor Richards and Ortegaz are always our favorites! The distillery is very close and pet friendly. Probably a 10minute drive to Coquina beach, which we did one day. The lot is shared with 2 other rentals but still feels very private the way they’re situated. The house is small but sooo comfy… comfy beds, couch, recliner… big bathroom, very nice linens, fully stocked kitchen. I’d be perfectly content living in this house!! 😁

Really enjoyed the stay. Location was perfect, especially for the July 4th holiday. The cottage was awesome, secluded with landscaping, nice outside sitting area, within walking distance of downtown Manteo. Nice morning walks around classic Manteo homes in the neighborhood with our dog. Well furnished cottage, decor was done with great taste. Will be back again soon I’m sure. Hope so….

The cottage was as described. Great size, nice amenities, yard was perfect to hang out in and relax, location to waterfront could not have been better. 10 minutes fron Nags Head beaches. All in all, excellent.

Clemons cottage is adorable and in a great location. We enjoyed walking to the waterfront each day and sitting in the garden with our dogs at the end of the day. Loved our stay and will be planning another visit soon!

Loved the cottage!! Inside was cute and cozy... very walkable to downtown Manteo. Fortunately, the weather was perfect for sightseeing, beach strolls and checking out the neighborhood which was very friendly. Ate all my meals outside in the lovely garden as there really was not a dining area inside, but that was OK by me! Hope to come again, soon.

We spent a month in this adorable home and loved every minute of it. It’s a couple of blocks from Manteo downtown water front and not too far from the Outer Banks, Lake Mattuskeet, and other outdoor / wildlife areas. Hopeful we can make this trip again. If you rent, it won’t disappoint !! The owner is exceptional and made sure we had everything we needed ! A 5-star stay for sure !

We booked the cottage for our 30th wedding anniversary for myself, my spouse and two greyhounds. It was great! It’s small so it was quite “cozy” sharing the space with two people and two large dogs but it suited our needs well. Host was awesome about answering questions and sharing info about the area. Beds were comfy with tons of fluffy pillows and nice bedding. Very small, but functional kitchen. Wouldn’t want to try to cook a full dinner in it, but great for a simple breakfast or making sandwiches for lunch. If you’re tall, like my 6’3”hubby, you do need to watch out for some low doorways and light fixtures. He bonked his head a few times. Overall a great space and the local area is fantastic! Incredible people, great restaurants, tons of historic sites and attractions to visit, beautiful beaches not too far away. Highly recommend!

We felt like we were living in a doll house! Super quaint little cottage in walking distance to all of Manteo. Was great to have our pups with us- although the tumbled glass in the driveway did stick to their paws. Sharon was very responsive.

Wonderful little getaway retreat in a great location. Short walk to waterfront shops and host was so nice to work with (excellent communication ahead of our visit). Felt welcoming, cozy, and comfortable.

We (and our dog Oban) absolutely loved our stay at the Beach Cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing...morning coffee outside listening to the birds and cocktails in the evening gazing at the nighttime skies. We were able to stroll the short distance into town, where there were many restaurants and shops to check out. We definitely recommend checking out Manteo and the Beach Cottage...you won't be disappointed!

The cottage was ideally located, a short walk from the waterfront, in a quiet residential area. It did not skimp on beds and bedding—they were luxurious, comfortable, first-class. The little galley kitchen-dining nook had all the basics for three adults and a small dog, the bathroom was large and well-lit, the sitting room comfortable, the front garden very nice and quite private to sit out in.

We love Clemons Cottage. We travel with our two yorkies and this was the perfect place for us on our OBX trip. The owner checked to make we had everything we needed. The cottage was clean and in a great location. It was a very easy walk to the water front. Manteo is a quaint town and is very relaxing.

Very happy with our stay in Manteo. Arrived at our cottage, clean and ready for us, as described, in a great location. We had an issue arise on our first day which led us to contact the owner. Wow, were we pleased! She not only addressed our issue but went beyond our expectations. She also followed up with us the next day, and made sure everything was fine, which it was. A fine little shabby chic house. Walking distance to town is a plus. The owner, Sharon, is wonderful. We experienced a small problem and she had maintenance there within minutes. A new oven is needed but otherwise everything okay. I would have loved to have seen the flowers that are shown in the photos. It would have added to the outdoor ambience.

We really loved staying at this cottage - enjoyed walks to the downtown & easy travel to a wedding site at Nags Head & beaches. Some negatives - Difficult not having washer & dryer at beach ( we were informed of this by owner at booking ) or dishwasher. Could use updated stove / pots & pans.

Lovely Cottage in the Outer Banks
Beautiful cottage with a great garden to sit in. The owner is very accommodating and the cottage is super clean. You can walk down the street to historic downtown Manteo. Everything you need is in the residence and there are food stores close by. Dont forget to see The Lost Colony in the historic Waterfront Theater. We will come back to the Outer Banks just to stay here!

Treasure trove in Manteo, NC!
A friend and I stayed here for 5 nights on a girls trip to Outer Banks area. Clemons Cottage is adorable and quaint and about a block or 2 from all the action of historical downtown Manteo! Restaurants & shopping were amazing plus saw Top Gun in a 90 year old theater also on our street - Budleigh! Nagshead Beach a mere 10 minute drive. I want to go back!

We came down for New Year on Manteo. The location is perfect for a downtown event. It's easily walkable to the downtown area and Festival Park and just far enough out that we didn't deal with crowds and noise at all. It's also easy to get anywhere on the Outer Banks from Manteo.
This cottage is charming and adorable while being amazingly comfortable. It was flawlessly clean. The wifi connection was great. We both noticed that the king bed is extremely comfortable and we slept well each night. We very much appreciated the off-street parking. I enjoyed the garden area with chairs for reading.
It was a perfect stay and we will book this cottage again. The owner answered all our questions in a very timely manner and provided a perfect stay that will live in our memories forever!

We came down for New Year on Manteo. The location is perfect for a downtown event. It's easily walkable to the downtown area and Festival Park and just far enough out that we didn't deal with crowds and noise at all. It's also easy to get anywhere on the Outer Banks from Manteo.
This cottage is charming and adorable while being amazingly comfortable. It was flawlessly clean. The wifi connection was great. Grossly misrepresented! Dirty, unkempt, linens were questionable as one pillow had laundered blood which appeared to be period blood, grimy and just gross. Plus it is a staggering 150 feet from a funeral home. I could go on... and on... and on... don't make the mistake we did. Avoid this cottage of grime!
