No issues at all, great area, and the yard was perfect for my three young boys to play in during the evening!!!! The house was great!!! Wished we could have stayed longer!!!

We had a great time in New Buffalo the weekend of April 2nd to celebrate my wife’s birthday with some of our friends. Hit all of the fun spots in town: Beer Church, Casey’s, Ghost Isle, etc. Home was perfect for the 4 of us that stayed overnight. Good location and in the middle of everything. Locations are walkable but located on a major traffic thoroughfare so I don’t recommend, especially at night. If you are looking for a short one night or two night stay I would recommend. House was very clean.

The property was fine for a shorter stay. Not really comfortable, but I could see it being a great crash-pad for Summer months. It was a little dingy, the furniture was not comfortable, and the kitchen was woefully under-stocked. It is also located on a very busy highway. Fine enough for our stay, but we would likely choose different accommodations in New Buffalo in the future.

Location couldn't be better for the price. This was my first time visiting New Buffalo, and I will definitely be back. Augie's was perfect for our friends trip to the beach/lake. Pros: great access to beach, restaurants, breweries by walking. Open floor plan was great while at the house and hanging out. Big table where we could all fit to eat. Complimentary Netflix was a hit! Plus the movie collection is very extensive. Firepit and outdoor area were great; ample seating. Plus they have a very nice grill for a short-term rental! Great parking. Outdoor shower is unique (hose off the house, so not warm). I used this after our beach day and it was perfect! Cons: only one true bedroom (closed-door). The other beds (two twins and one full/queen) were separated (up and down stairs), but no door to the rooms. Not a huge deal to us guys, but could be a deal breaker for those with small children/infants. Kitchen is not huge, but definitely functionable (all cookware and dining utensils you need). Street noise everyone mentions is bearable. If you're the type to sleep with a fan (like myself), it's truly not a bother. Overall, I would absolutely stay again if with my friends. If with family, I may look elsewhere just based on the doors as I have a toddler and understand how that goes. Kids over 5 shouldn't have a problem sleeping here. Definitely give this place a look!

We stayed at Augie’s Surf House for four days for a quick family get away. We had a great time and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed!

Only sleeps 6 as cots not good to sleep on. Kitchen needs more counter space and dishwasher would be nice. Bathroom could use a good scrubbing in shower. Living room furniture was not comfortable. Probably would not stay here again

We had a great time. .. Would highly recommend.

Stayed at the cabin for a family ladies weekend. New Buffalo is a fun town with all sorts of fun things to eat, see, and do nearby! The house had a nice location definitely- walking distance to all those things, but could use a bit of a makeover. The decor was too mismatched for my taste, maybe even a tad too outdated as well. The kitchen needs more counter space and a better cleaning. The ledges were super dusty and unkept, along with the floors. I can appreciate the theme they were going for all over and the attempt to fit as many sleeping spaces as possible. Overall, we had fun and I would give it a 6.5 out 10. With a few tweaks here and there, and some updates I would entertain another stay.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay. The property manager was beyond helpful and clearly communicated with us. We’d love to stay again if we come back to the area.

Great location for wineries and breweries. Close to the national park. Cute themed house (a little dated but it was clean and everything you need is there). Great outdoor space. Had some troubles with a window, they were willing to fix right away if needed. Also, very nice to look for a lost earring.

We enjoyed our stay at this house and as a family of 3, we had plenty of room. The house is walking distance to the downtown New Buffalo area, where you can find shopping, food, drinks and the beach. The house is also nicely stocked with beach item (though we went when it was too cold for the water). The kitchen doesn't have a lot of counter space, so if you plan to cook many meals, you might have to prep on the dining room table. We didn't think there was a lot of silverware/utensils (but plenty of plates, bowls and cups), and there is no dishwasher, so you might consider disposable items if you have a larger group staying there. Our only downside to this house was the noise from the road as the house sits right on the main street and cars/trucks drive by 24/7. I would suggest you bring a noise/sound machine if you are a light sleeper. The road noise plus the fact that 2 of the sleeping areas are open to the living room makes it hard for a quiet night of sleep if you try and put kids down and then want to sit up and watch TV/play games/talk as adults. However, they do have a nice deck and fire pit outside, so you can always go out there if little ones are sleeping in the house.

We decided to book a last minute weekend getaway. It was the perfect escape! We are looking forward to booking a longer stay in the near future.

As is the case most of the time; you get what you pay for. Nothing bad to say about the place, just don’t expect anything fancy or updated. We did walk to “downtown”, but also drove as the snow became a challenge. The house has some years on it and the heating doesn’t really keep up, so be prepared to take measures to stay warm if staying in winter.

This house has such a beach house feel. It is relaxed, warm and they thought of everything. Makes you feel at home.

My girlfriends and I spent a Fall weekend at the property and it was perfect - the home was well-equipped with all essentials.

This property was perfect for our lil family of 4 plus two dogs. Everything you need is right there, even the coffee!!! Had a great time, rode bikes into town, had dinner across the street(soooo good) and had a fire every night we were there(we brought our own wood). Only down fall is how close it is to the road(speed limit of 50 eek).

This place was great! Plenty of room, clean, fully stocked kitchen. Super close to downtown New Buffalo. Would stay again!

Perfect for our long weekend. Large backyard with firepit for s’mores. Bikes were a nice perk. Extremely clean and an easy bike ride or walk to town. Great stay!

Such a nice place. Everything you need is provided. Clean and cozy. We really recommend this place.

Close to town, about 1/2 mile. We rode our bikes in & explored the downtown & the beach. Walked to brewery for dinner. Burger joint across the street. Backyard is beautiful & wooded, enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evenings. Drawback is that the house is located on a busy road, lots of traffic noise.

This house made me feel like I was on vacation, not just in a rental house. House was clean and comfy with cool surf décor. Best part about house was that it was walking distance to all bars and restaurants. We loved New Buffalo.

This was a great location as listed, and the owner was very kind and helpful, but the place is just so worn out. Bedrooms seem to be partitions created to provide more beds, regardless of location. The stairs were so steep, the bottom one needed a step platform. The dishes were kept on an open shelf in the closet with the vacuum and brooms. Furniture was well worn, but not comfortable. We weren’t there long, so it served its purpose, but for a family to stay for a week would be unpleasant. Sorry. It reminded us of a college frat house.

Great time staying here! Stayed with family for the weekend and the long dining table was perfect for our late night games. Close to downtown, but not really walking distance. We love the general location because it’s close to the beach and all the wineries and breweries in the area. We would stay again.

We had a great weekend at the surf house for my sister's bachelorette party! It was perfect for our group, plenty of space to hangout. We enjoyed spending time outside on the deck and grilling.
